In the Avatar video, you said Aang doesn't go into the Avatar State a second time until Appa goes missing, but he does it two other times when Katara is in danger and during the Siege of the North. Was this a mistake?

I make trivial clerical errors like that on purpose to lure out the people who are both very angry and very combative so they will eat a ban immediately. Nobody who fusses over those details is worth having to put up with, because those details don't have any real impact on the overall point I'm making.

I disagree completely.

Wyll's uncomfortable because he has horns NOW and did not have them the last time he saw those tieflings. Literally most of them know him BY NAME. He's uncomfortable because he doesn't want to have to answer the same question over and over and over again to these people that he knows, has worked with, and has helped teach.

If you've ever lost a job or had something bad happen to you, it makes sense. You don't want to go to a big event right after it happened because you KNOW everyone will be asking you about that bad event. And you don't want to deal with it!!!

That was me after my dog passed away last year. I knew people were being understanding and trying to be comforting, but I didn't want to keep telling people that he fucking died over and over again!! It was upsetting!!! It just kept re-opening the wound!

I feel like that is why Wyll is upset at the tiefling party and I am so tired of everyone making fun of him for it.

It's been suggested that TCOAL is supposed to be compared to Doki Doki Literature Club, and I was wondering what you thought about that?

The only way that comparison works is that they both wildly overshoot their mark and faceplant into the dirt as a result, and the only people who think there's any artistic merit beyond examining the fuck-up are delusional.

I understand DDLC is supposed to be some subversion of visual novels, but by the time it came out the only visual novel I'd ever played in my life was a really sad one about a girl dying of kidney failure and getting really philosophical about accepting death. So the satire was completely lost on me.

Kinda funny how Spy x Family is doing the reverse of what cartoons are doing nowadays. Instead of starting with wacky stuff then the serious tone, it gave off the impression of a serious tone, but recent episodes are mostly wacky adventures (but it could still be emotional). The first episode was still funny but was way more last back than future episodes.

Spy x Family is just really good at tone. It helps that it's a Thriller/Comedy, and not a Drama/Comedy, so it's not like it's difficult to pull off. The premise really helps as well, as a fun family outing is technically helping move the plot along and the main goal of Operation Strix is built around playing the long game.

The premise and tone suit each other, as opposed to other shows I've covered where the premise and tone are at best at odds and at worst completely incompatible.

That was delightful! The blend of spy thriller and family comedy is still peak fiction.
