a list of fictional characters whom i wholeheartedly believe are bisexual (+some explanation)
now, i usually operate off of the policy 'assume bi unless proven otherwise' when it comes to fictional characters, but these are ones that nothing you do can convince me they are not bi
~harry potter; how can you read the books and NOT think this
~ginny weasley; girl likes girls. what more can I say. ig i just also love bi-husband/bi-wife as a ship
~jeff winger; mans clearly likes women but also is a little bit too obsessed with other men's bodies and lives in general for there to not be something. i am a stout believer in jeff x doctor rich. (i could write an entire essay analyzing him as a character but moving on)
~tony stark; semi-canon anyways but like?? have you Seen the man
~loki laufeyson; canon but worth mentioning bc didn't all of us always know it?
~chloe decker; even though she and lucifer are sickeningly in love with each other, seeing him being so open about his sexuality early in their friendship def made her more comfortable about her own
~peter parker; yes, every single interation. tobey!peter had a crush on harry osborn AND mary jane, andrew!peter is basically confirmed, and tom!peter def had his bi awakening through thor
~dean winchester; i don't even like/watch spn but GOD even i know it
~max mayfield; even though i am 100% lumax i know deep in my heart that max and el kissed after they broke with with lucas and mike SPEAKING OF WHICH
~mike wheeler; do i need to explain
~lee cheongsan; he and suhyeok should have been endgame but i love onjo and so does he still
will be extended in the future!!

that indescribable something you feel when driving through your grandparents' old hometown and remember that the reason you haven't been there in a while is because they're gone. homesickness even though it was never your home but it really kinda was.

humanity is beautiful and ugly and cruel and loving and everything all at once
"How can you still have hope in your kind?", the alien asked, as their ships decorated the blue skies with gray.
"We need each other", the human ambassador replied.
"Your kind is one of war".
"I know".
"Your kind is one that silences itself".
"I know".
"Your kind got used to its cruelty".
"And yet, we can still be delighted by sunlight".
"You are close, yet divided and distant from each other".
"From our differences we find harmony and reasons to connect. This is more prevalent than our hate".
"All I see is your kind spiraling down to nothing. Your planet is dying, you hate each other, and you do not believe in a future anymore".
The ambassador did not reply.
"Your museums are filled with relics of ruin, ambassador, and your own body has scars from the wars you inflict upon each other. Your kind can never discover all living creatures on Earth, for you have already killed too many things you will never have the pleasure of knowing".
The alien shook their/its head.
"Your punishment is solitude and guilt".
"No".
The aliens looked down upon the human.
"Spiraling down our minds, you still saw something good. Otherwise, you would have killed us on sight, like you did with others in the past. In our darkest moments, we learned how to make fire. You saw a fossil of an old woman without teeth, and yet, she lived for long enough for her wounds to heal. If we were truly cruel, she would have been killed. If we were truly crooked, she would have been abandoned. Yet, she was kept alive, and someone was kind enough to feed her, even when she was toothless".
The human rose his/her/their voice.
"What is real resists the lies of convenience".
"You speak with fancy words, but I cannot believe any of them. We saw what you did".
"You saw war and how it can disappear from your mind as you get used to it, but you are still watching us fight against it".
"You can make a bad person fall, but you cannot stop your own nature".
"Our love and our caring is our nature, and it finds a way".
"Describe how it does so, then. Prove it. Show us what you can do, even after everything you saw".
"We cannot describe our care, and the more we try, the more we fail. We look at those we love and all we can do is think about how distant we are from them, and how utterly incapable we are of showing them how much we love them. When I go to sleep next to my partner and I see their back, and I hug them close to me and listen as their breathe in and breathe out, all I can do is think about how I will never be able to hold them as much as I need to. I can make all the poetry in the world and do the impossible, and yet this wont satisfy me.
I could scream at the top of my lungs and paint a canvas with romantic pink and save the world. I could do all of that and it would never be enough. My partner will tell me, when I go back home, that they know I love them and I know they love me back, and I will agree, but still cry as I say 'I am sorry for not showing you enough'.
My partner does not take away from me. They do not fulfill me. They simply make me understand that I cannot stop caring for them".
Silence in the courtroom of aliens that think they can judge others.
"You listened to our songs, you saw your movies, you read our books and listened to our stories. You saw us die and live. You saw everything that mades us ourselves and you refuse to accept us, because you cannot fathom the idea of an alien species that both care and hate and live and die and create and destroy. You cannot live with the idea of choosing to be better. You want to be born good and pure of cruelty so you can feel less guilty about your own mistakes".
And the aliens could not say anything back, nor the billions of humans that were watching their own judgement through screens, nor the other many alien species that survived the invaders cruel purity.
"You can kill me. But humanity won the moment we realized death may only exist as long as we are alive to name it".

aww omg i love your kitties so much!! i love it when the game lines up to perfectly allow for headcanons like that!
i just remembered this bc so much has happened with that little family. the deputy (Sunhollow) ended up passing away first of old age, and even though his mate went peacefully, Nightinggalestar was still grief-stricken at the time of his final death many moons later. shortly after that, one of the daughters (Mantislight) announced that she was pregnant. she gave birth to one kit, who she named Joykit after her parents' passing. then Fallenstripe's (the other daughter, Mantis's twin) mate died. and then one of the sons (Webpelt) and his mate had one kit (Crookedkit, born with a bent tail). Mantislight died while Joypaw was still an apprentice, and that shock combined with a bloodthirsty mentor led to Joycinder becoming a warrior with an affinity for the Dark Forest. Crookedpaw is still a mediator apprentice under Otterskip, Webpelt's twin.
that's where we are now!! i'm just so attached to this family and it's kind of worrying but i'm going to embrace it atp
is it normal for me to be extremely attached to this one family of pixelated cats i made in a game

A Short Ode to Timeless (NBC)
I first watched this show when it originally came out, and I'll be honest, I kind of forgot about it for a while. Until earlier this year, when parts of it started coming back to me---but only the weird parts, the parts that didn't make sense to me when I first watched it. This was why it took me months to finally decide that I needed to watch Timeless again, if only just to see all of the weirdness that I missed the first time. After all, it came out 2016-2018, how good could it have been? That feeling only multiplied when I realized Er*c Kr*pke was one of the main writers. Though I never watched SPN, I knew about it plenty from my friend who did, and I knew what kind of writer he was.
But then I sat down and rewatched. And I fell in love with each and every single character once again. I remembered the wacky plot points (the dead wife coming back to life and being evil thing, just for one example) stuff, the not-so-good CGI in places---I didn't remember how real each and every one of these characters felt. I didn't remember all of the scenes that focused on friendship instead of romance. I didn't remember (or maybe I just now started appreciating) that by the end of the series, these characters felt like a true family, despite their beginnings of being thrown together to fight a supposed terrorist. I even started liking Flynn. Originally, I couldn't see how everyone online seemed to love him so much. The second time around, though, it's safe to say that this man has firmly cemented himself as a great character, full of heartbreaking emotion and comedic relief, even when he didn't mean to (as Rufus said, "the creepy uncle" of the team). And though I still do adore Lyatt, I can also appreciate Garcy too now.
The ending of the show, with its slowed-down music of Time After Time, felt so much like something out of 2018, and yet it was still able to make me cry. The song fit with the shots of them just... living. Enjoying being with each other. Appreciating this weird, unconventional family that they had somehow come together to make. And it worked.
This show, though it was far from perfect, is truly one of the more emotionally charged, heartbreaking, hilarious, uplifting, depressing, and heartwarming shows that I have ever watched. I recommend Timeless to anyone who looks for that.

Cupboard
This house is an old one. It has lasted throughout the decades, through several families that had their own stories and lives. The children who inhabited the house have grown up and grown old, have borne their own children, and died. Yet, this house has outlasted them all.
Inside this house is a cupboard, and that cupboard knows the families even more intimately than the house. The cupboard is located in the living room, just beside the archway that leads into the kitchen. It has witnessed people’s most private moments, permanently placed in between the two most used rooms of the house. Not through any will of its own, of course. It couldn’t stop watching if it tried, and it has.
The cupboard doesn’t know how it came into being. It doesn’t remember its creation. The first thing it knew was a pair of young eyes staring inside its glass doors, marveling at the emptiness. The girl that owned the eyes hardly had any memories herself. Her family moved away after only a few years inside the house, but the cupboard can still remember the look on the girl’s face when her parents said that they couldn’t take the cupboard with them.
The cupboard remembers its second family. The cupboard didn’t know how long it was between families, but it could feel the dust collecting on its handles. This time there were two young boys, and they carried the spirit of youth in their eyes. The cupboard saw them grow taller, noticed when they didn’t spend as much time running back and forth from the front door to their rooms. It saw the whole family gather around the box in their living room, heard the box announce things that didn’t mean much to the cupboard, but to the family obviously did. The woman parent clutched her hands to her mouth, and the man parent bowed his head. The taller child (because the cupboard will always think of its kids as children, no matter how much taller than the cupboard they grow) grabbed the shorter one and pulled him into a hug. The parents joined, and though the cupboard didn’t know why, it felt like something big had happened. The shorter one went away for a long time after that, and then the woman parent opened a letter that made her very sad and made the rest of the family very sad too. The cupboard never saw the shorter boy again.
The cupboard remembers its third family. A man and a woman, both with gray hair, came along. They didn’t move around a lot, but they took good care of the cupboard, and it learned from the house that they took care of it too, up until the man didn’t get up from his chair more than once a day. People would visit and talk to him but he didn’t always respond. The woman would spend time just staring at the man. Sometimes she would open a book and point out pictures to him. One day the woman didn’t help the man move out to his chair in the living room. Instead, one of the young people who came to visit most often came over with others that the cupboard had never seen before, and together they carried the man outside. The woman stayed after that for a while, but the cupboard knew what it looked like when people left without plans to return.
The cupboard remembers its fourth family. There were kids this time. Kids meant a liveliness that the cupboard hadn’t seen the last time it’d seen its boys. But these children’s parents weren’t as kind as the boys’ parents. The man parent would strike the children if they acted like children, and he would do the same to the woman parent if she tried to stop him. The cupboard had to watch it all, and never before had it tried to stop looking. Not long after they arrived, the woman parent emerged into the living room with a long object in her hand. She walked up behind the man parent. A loud noise sounded, and the man parent fell forward. She knelt down beside him before talking into the machine on the wall. Strangers came over and took her outside. The children screamed for her, but they were grabbed by more of the strangers and carried out of the home. For a while afterward, so many people came and went that the cupboard no longer knew who its family was. And then no one came around for a long time, and the cupboard heard from the house that the people were talking of knocking down the house where it stood.
The cupboard knows its fifth family. They saved the house from being destroyed, and they saved the cupboard too. They are young. With them, they brought a hairy creature almost the height of the cupboard itself. The cupboard hears them refer to the creature as their child, but it doesn’t resemble any of the cupboard’s other children. The woman has a round stomach, and the cupboard hears her and the man talking to it sometimes. The cupboard doesn’t know why, but it thinks that there’ll be more kids running around the house soon enough.
This house is an old one, and the cupboard inside it is an old one too. Both have seen several families in their years. The cupboard doesn’t know how it got here, or why it is different from all other cupboards. But it does know that whatever the reason, it’s glad that it was chosen. The cupboard misses its kids. The cupboard does not miss some of its adults. The cupboard wants to forget some things, but it can’t. The cupboard is glad that whatever made it did so because the cupboard knows that it's been given a wonderful gift: the cupboard knows sentience, and so it knows kindness and evil and joy and misery. It knows humanity and the uniqueness that makes humans human.
The cupboard knows, and so it has lived.

at this point we know it's not gonna happen, but imagine if this whole situation did actually turn out to be a "we pranked the internet" thing by the try guys
like imagine how awkward it would be having to go forward like nothing happened after everyone already talked about how ned was their least favorite, he was the only one they could picture doing this, they always had a bad feeling about him, blah blah, etc.
imagine being in that office and having to look ned in the eye and say "it's okay though i'm sure they don't actually mean it"
