Oh my GOD 😂😂😂
You want everyone to be able to slot into a pride and prejudice au but no one can accurately fit into the niche that Mr Darcy and Elizabeth have cornered which is completely and uniquely deranged and sophisticated in a way no marvel character, nay, not even an over watch character, can dare compete with

academia but i’m at my 9-5 job
spending my lunch break speed reading
rotating through my collection of trousers, sweaters, and button ups
constantly brewing coffee
researching each task extensively in my spare time, just because i’m curious
bringing my own pen from home because it’s obviously the only right pen

Nothing is funnier to me than Mr Darcy telling his best friend not to propose to the girl he loves bc 1. Her family are unsuitable and 2. She doesn't truly like him enough to marry... only to then himself propose to a woman who is 1. From the exact same family and 2. Has done nothing but roast him since they met

It should say “Darcy swam in a lake so Knightley could run all the way to Emma’s house from the village at like 4am just to watch her arrive home” 🤣🤣

REVIEW // The Sisters Grimm
Time for another review? Maybe? I think I’ve officially given up on this book.
The Sisters Grimm is a fantasy novel about four ‘sisters’ Grimm all born on the same day to different mothers. It follows the span of about a month, counting down until their 18th birthday when they will meet their father, Wilhelm Grimm, and must make a decision that will determine the fate of an age old war.
This book was truly awful. Awful enough that I couldn’t even get through a quarter of it before giving up. The writing switches between first and third person, and even has random sections in second person just to make things even more confusing. It also switches between characters at unexpected rates and gives almost no indication at all of what time period the book is really set in. The villain (?) (and love interest?) is bland and cliché, and spends more time oversharing about the fact that he’s evil than actually doing anything, evil or otherwise.
I honestly don’t understand how this book made it through even one round of editing, let alone the multiple rounds of editing that must have been required to get it published. Overall I’ve rated it two stars, mainly because I’ve never given a one star rating before and I feel weird doing it.
