my desk really be celebrating pride month 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈!!

it’s been rainy these few days, so it’s always so pleasant to wake up to a sunny morning! plus, only then will my room be filled with rainbows 🌈

started my day at 6am today and waking up when the sky is still dark is really a refreshing start to my day.

May 24 2022 | Although I’ve been a trainee teacher since January, I still haven’t had my master thesis grade or my master’s degree grade. Today I got both and all the hard work paid off. I got such an amazing grade on my master thesis in politics and my GPA reflects all my hard work. I am honestly so shocked…When you don’t come from an academic family, things like this are special. My teenage self would be very very very proud. We did it. Cheers to us working class kids with dreams. And cheers to my school teachers who always inspired and believed in me. May I be you, one day. 

I loved University. I really did. Goodbye. Maybe we’ll meet again, one day.

I’m a ball of stress and exam anxiety.

[04182022] My parents brought my desk from home to my apartment and I'm so happy!! I love this desk (I've had it for about a decade) and the productive space that I'm cultivating in this corner is getting better and better.

btw im reading The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas! it's long overdue on my TBR list but i finally finished it yesterday and although the ending was abrupt i liked the development of the side characters much more than i expected

my neighbour is renovating his apartment, so i had to flee our apartment to get away from the insane noise :-) hence, i worked on my thesis in a coffee shop and the library yesterday.

Really into renting individual study rooms now.

These last couple weeks have been rough and I’m just trying to accept the end of semester chaos. Just checked my calendar to see how many weeks I have left and OH SHIT it’s only 3.

Remember to take deep breaths and be gentle with yourself the next few weeks! We can do this and we will get through it.

i am currently having two weeks of easter holiday. as my focus is terrible when staying at home, i spend most of my time in the library. the idea of peers judging me pressures me to work :)

i got up before sunrise to go to a lecture held by the director of the doherty institute, professor lewin! she’s also done some work with dr fauci so i was literally starstruck. i had some crepes, went to my anat practical, studied some physiology after and had dinner with friends.
