Maggie
This sweet gal stayed with me while her hoomans vacationed in Staunton. Her eyes were so piercing through all that fur.

Gone but never Forgotten. In remembrance of a lovely soul, Bertie. Aka, Carla Clarkson.
I was in Liverpool tooling around and saw this written on a door to St. Luke's Bombed out Church, it looked interesting, so I took a pic. Later, I sat down to Google it and found out Carla killed herself as a way out from her abusive boyfriend; about 9 years ago now.
I hope she is at peace.

If you prompt, smile and nod, they will talk.
My cariad (Val) and I visited a quirky little underground place recently called the Hobo Kiosk in Liverpool. Eclectic Bohemian decor inside with an attentive, boisterous, and friendly owner/bar keep.
We sat at a big table and were immediately joined by others. One being the loudest patron ever. To my benefit, I suppose, as my hearing is suspect. He loved NY, all 5 boroughs, and vacationed often. When he found out I was from there, he took a selfie with me. When I had asked him if he had visited the oldest tavern in NY, (Queens) he said yes! He flipped out when I uncoved my Neir's Tavern tee shirt!
Val started talking to an interesting couple. The lady, originally from Runcorn, had married a French diplomat and lived in NY, now divorced, back in Liverpool and dating a farmer from Stoke-on-Trent. As the evening wore on, we left to visit Punch Tarmey's and chatted for hours over health & health care, our adult children, careers, long-distance dating, and so on and so forth. A lot, actually.
Total strangers unloading. While Val and I contributed, we mostly prompted, smiled, and nodded.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

More Minnie muse. Minnie is in love with her plastic shopping bag. Been sleeping on it for well over a week.

Current images of the Cain's Brewery Village in the Baltic Triangle section of Liverpool, England. This area has seen considerable revitalization starting prior to, then opening in 2009 from 18 former 100-150+ year old warehouses brought back to life with breweries, shops and eateries. Nicely done Liverpool, nicely done. It reminds me of Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland.

I saw some Vermeer paintings yesterday and felt my fiancé was in a similar scene as I watched at her make shift motel vanity.
