Félix Fathom has invaded my brain and his relationship with Adrien is so interesting to me because like. He steals one of the rings in hopes of not only making his mom happy but also so Gabriel can’t control Adrien anymore. His original plan before meeting Kagami and talking to Marinette for the Diamond Dance was to erase everyone and create a world for just the two of them. He wants him to be happy and genuinely cares about him.

But then sometimes he will say shit like “‘Look at me :( I am so sad and lonely :((’ that’s what you sound like. I act like that when I’m pretending to be you and everyone believes me actually.” Directly to Adrien’s face because that might be his favorite cousin but these two have the biggest Cain Instinct when it comes to each other and I full believe if you gave either of them a cardboard tube, they would not HESITATE to bonk the other with it.

maybe this is an unpopular opinion but i loooove how people turn “it’s annoying when people watch tiktoks out loud in public” into serious discourse about like, classism and shit. sometimes people are just kind of curmudgeonly about this stuff. sometimes people get annoyed by shit that happens in public. sometimes i hear a person talking too loud at a restaurant and i get kind of pissed off. i also sometimes talk too loud at a restaurant. truly “being ticked off by unpleasant noise in a public space” is not like, a position held only by the bourgeoisie designed to put down the Hardworking Proletariat and their Working Class Tiktoks. it’s just kind of a person thing

I’m sorry friends, but “just google it” is no longer viable advice. What are we even telling people to do anymore, go try to google useful info and the first three pages are just ads for products that might be the exact opposite of what the person is trying to find but The Algorithm thinks the words are related enough? And if it’s not ads it’s just sponsored websites filled with listicles, just pages and pages of “TOP FIFTEEN [thing you googled] IMAGINED AS DISNEY PRINCESSES” like… what are we even doing anymore, google? I can no longer use you as shorthand for people doing real and actual helpful research on their own.

In mine and many other east Asian cultures, the dragon traditionally symbolises things like power, wealth and strength (imperial symbol and all)

I think we often forget that in the story of the Great Race, the dragon came in fifth because it'd stopped to give people rain. Then it'd stopped again to push a rabbit adrift on a log across the wide river so it reached the shore safely (that's why the Rabbit year comes before the Dragon).

Dragons aren't meant to just be powerful - they are meant to do good with such power, and to help those in need.

So in this lunar new year, I hope you gain more power, so that you might be able to help others. I pray you have abundant resources so you may give to yourself and those around you. I wish you courage, endurance, kindness and generosity, for yourself and your people.

I hope you, and I, will be rain givers, life preservers, joy bringers.
