A week in to having a tooth pulled, the gum is a bit tender, but it's the migraines and fall out from having my neck in the stupid chair that is still bothering me. Like I am limited in my daily activities because of pain or reactivating an irritation bothering me.

One of the Tiny Kittens mamas is squirting out tabbies. No milkbar fights yet but they're all squirmy and squeaky like they should be.

Did some busy work converting files, will do more while I'm home today. One way or another it'll be good to get out and at least not be at my desk.

Sometimes healing from a childhood of poverty and food insecurity is being able to toss out something perfectly edible no one in the house is going to eat after tasting it instead of having to leave it in the fridge for a week just in case that happens to be the only food left in the house.

While I did finally crack the secret of making the dish I wanted with gelatin it tastes... Like something I never want to make again.

No, the real issue today is finding which of my see the computer glasses I can wear that won't add extra discomfort to my face because the side effects from having a molar pulled don't need help. Otherwise it is healing nicely.

I thought I had some busy work to do yesterday to give me something to do but it was more that's not going to work let's prep to try it another way.

Might go out and real life today like getting an oil change and tire rotation on the car. I am ever thankful I can just take my pocket computer with media on it and not have to carry around the portable DVD player and discs, a book, a note pad, something to draw with.

You kids these days will never know what that was like.

Almost a week down so basically I'm going to give myself until May to eat certain foods to give my former tooth spot a fair chance to heal. That's where it helps with it being all the way in the back so it's a bit easier to avoid it.

Slowly but steadily the neck muscles are getting back to normal.

Holding my arms in a hand sewing position for long isn't working yet so I'll look in to other creative activities that won't have me as hunched over.

Soon I'll need to take over the big drop leaf cutting table and sort out the "project bins" and other craft component tubs that have been pretty much packed or condensed since 2021. I really want to make sense of the one with the Kells cover book in it.

Paper dolls came up as a way to deal with wanting new dolls, needing something to do, and being in moving limbo so you can't do a big project, all of which happen to be things I know a hell of a lot about.

Take photos of your dolls not wearing clothes or in undergarments, print and cut them out, make paper clothes for them. This is also a great way to let little and/or destructive people play with your dolls without hurting them.

I need to do updated versions of this because the ones I have are old and were done on a crappy printer, and I got a heck of a lot more dolls since then.

I think the creature in the Found Footage episodes of Kane Pixel's Backrooms might be saying "don't move, stay still" sometimes and if anyone has decoded what else is on the wall some of that too.

Something something the windows and eyes wall is close to the area with the + walls which are close to the threshold so it's likely the windows and eyes wall is in an area that has been or will soon be mapped and staying there will get him found.

The creature might not be chasing found footage guy to "get" him but perhaps to move him towards Async areas.

Thus the creature in Pitfalls might be following anyone it sees in a suit so it can either get out of the Backrooms or direct other people it finds to the threshold.

In Found Footage 2 the creature could be waiting in what it considers "home" or at least a home, and on seeing someone else thinks perhaps its been rescued or again is trying to get her to go towards Async areas.

Okay, I have to do something "creative" today. I think I've got what ever aches and pains I'm going thru to a manageable place, my neck being in an awkward place for too long is what did it, so I must occupy myself with something.

Looking to finish the sewing on the tiny Bebe lady's wrapper then start on an experimental outfit with decorative overskirts. I also want to figure what sort of hook to use to see if I can make some Barbie crochet bed doll outfits for her.

By hook I mean that regular size 10 thread with a certain sized crochet hook makes Barbie size, size 20 thread and a 1mm hook make half that size. So a bit of experimentation and logical guessing, like start with a 1.5mm hook and size 20 thread then making a sample bodice, will figure things out.

The trick with a soft body Barbie and those fancy crochet bed dolls is just use the same sized thread or yarn and hook for the doll and her clothes. I went smaller because during what I now know was a manic fueled session I went size 20 thread crazy to try and teach myself lace making. Actually did learn to make bobbin and shuttle lace, mixed results on the cro-tatting.

~meanwhile in this still won't get me to go to the dentist on a regular basis because I'm doing all I can to keep this from becoming a new set of traumas land~ (still beats that time in 2021)

So, the appointment with someone who might be able to redo the root canals is a couple of days after my first dentist does my new one. Nice to know my previous sub par root canals also happen to be the type most don't like to redo. But because my "health insurance" paid for the first two that are in the process of fucking up it looks like they will, they better, be paying to fix them.

Meanwhile the bone graft appears to be taking. Still going to stay away from hot coffee until the two weeks are over, then go to sips of not as hot coffee. Spicy, acidy, and anything else that could irritate the spot are also being avoided. Fortunately the last thing I had that was close to trail mix was disappointing because I doubt I'll ever be eating much for unbaked nuts again. Never was a corn on the cob or unsliced apple fan either. Carrots come in pennies and shreds.

It's teaching myself to take smaller bites and thus eating more slowly that will take awhile to get used to. Hamburgers and bigger sandwiches will just depend on how my jaw feels.

Insert your own reasons why someone might eat efficiently fast, not at it's going to run off my plate fast but efficiently fast.

I couldn't imagine what people who had all four wisdom teeth taken out at the same time are going thru because just having one molar out is a bitch.

Getting the second opinion on the already done root canals today and I'll ask them when I can have hot coffee again.

I'll be on the relatively soft diet as long as my jaw is bothering me.

Might make coffee flavored jello with decaf and will try again to make condensed milk jello. The first attempt didn't science right.

It feels like the neck part of the migraine has just about fixed its self but I'm still not going to be doing certain activities I know can irritate that. It's the aches, pain, and occasional random numbness of my face that is fun to deal with.

No wonder I have dentist trauma if I went thru all this as a kid but no one told me I should expect it after the dentist decided to pull multiple baby teeth so my adult ones would come in faster.

Someone look in to spectrum disorders and see if losing baby teeth later in life than average is part of it. I had a baby molar until I was 21, was told it was fused to the bone etc, wanted to bitch slap that dentist with it when it fell out on its own.

In tiny increments I am making things for my tiny Bebe lady. Just have to do the collar pleats and hem for her wrapper and she has a petticoat now. Too many headaches to put any real thought in to her first outside outfit yet. I know she'll have a pink dress and there's some stripes to go to town with.

I'd be watching or reading if I didn't have to take some form of Pain Away to function these last few days.

*And yeah, I get to have the root canals with their posts redone. Yay me.

Incase everything around here becomes 'gas leak' do take it seriously. Spent nearly 3 years during the pandemic in a place with a low level, could only smell it if the apartment was closed up, but steady leak where the repair buck kept getting passed back and forth because the gas company said it was the stove and the owner said it was the gas company. The carbon monoxide detector high up on the wall never went off.

It caused us to generally feel depressed, have moderate allergy symptoms we could never get under control, and generally feel that 'something was wrong' but no change in life style ever made us feel better.

Within a week of moving we were generally feeling better. A few months later and we're back to what feels normal for us.

Got to remind myself to watch Murder By Death again. And if it gets remade it can only be as one of those live to air things and word for word including Charlie Chan's dialog. No actors who have previously played detectives, I want against type casting. No woke for woke's sake, Capote is a prissy gay man and I demand a prissy gay man. Chan and son are cast as Asian, the couple must be white upper class British snobs. Michael Sheen is my first choice for the butler altho for some strange reason I'd like to see what Jeffrey Combs could do with that role.

I'd like to see people like that guy who looks nothing like Don Knotts but embodies him or an East Asian guy at this one comic book store who did a fabulous Christopher Walken. I know there's a Columbo impersonator out there the world needs to see.

In other news I need to loosen up the sleeves for the Bebe lady's pattern. Have to go out and real life and pay bills today. Would really like to be able to drink hot coffee and eat regular food again. Will be asking the dentist I see on Friday how long to deal with the stitches etc.

But as long as the stitches are in my gum I have 'fuck you' powers and I'm going to use them.

ap 17 part 2

Well, they're out of the body I wanted to buy for Shi Shi, the one without the head unless I look a bit more and see if there's one with a free outfit. Doesn't matter either way.

Did some patterns for the little Bebe lady and cut out and partially sewed a tea gown/wrapper for her. She'll be able to get at least 2 fancy dresses out of each fat quarter. Got plenty from when I thought the chibi Unoa was going to be more old fashioned when she decided right now she isn't.

Want to try out a few more ideas before I get in to the pink fabric. Most of it's going to be princess shaped 2 piece, the bodice is almost always separate, with a bit of a train.

What I miss the most right now is hot coffee, will be seeing a different dentist on the 19th so I'll ask them how much longer and all that. So far the bone graft is good, just some minor swelling.

Biggest thing is having to "rest" because of the blood loss. What ever kind of anemia I have I just literally don't make enough red blood cells.

Also have to avoid acidic and spicy stuff for awhile and keep to soft for a few days. ~looks at half a bag of cuties and the two boxes of lemon protein bars~

Starting to get ideas for a newer version of the Daft Punk meeting at a performing arts school. Guy needs someone to help him figure out how to put his routines together, Thomas needs someone to help him snaz his up.

Also can't sleep on my one side until the swelling goes down but that should happen soon.

Not going to say go to the dentist on a regular basis, I sure as hell don't, but the couple days discomfort for a root canal or something is better than suffering thru it. And say yes to dental bone grafts.

Horror movies get pulling out molars kind of wrong, will just leave it at that. The roots were like twice as long as the tooth.

They wouldn't let me bring it home because like one asshole ruined that for everyone.

If they are torch bearers do you think they'd do it together or alone? Or maybe just Thomas with Guy not wanting the attention? Would they do it dressed as robots or as themselves?
