Do you have any tips for salmon run?

i have a few that i can offer thats helped me out, even while playing on freelance !!

> "boss luring" is prolly one of the most important tip! any bosses that follow players (e.g., steelhead, scrapper, etc) can be lured closer to the egg basket for easier egg depositing— that's why sometimes when a wave starts - for example - a scrapper appears, players would stay near the basket

> flyfish fumble! if everyone's too preoccupied to completely knockout a flyfish, take out only ONE of it's containers (preferably the right container, as it targets the closest player) — this "fumbles" the flyfish so that its missiles are random

> prioritize destroying lesser salmonids!!!! (IMPORTANT‼️) - if forgotten, the lessers can - depending on your job title - swarm around you FAST and stand in your way; especially the smallfry (i have the most issues w/ those coz i underestimate 'em LOL!!)

> related to 🔝 but imo the order of priority feels like this: splat lessers > splat bosses > gather eggs

> (mudmouth mode) mudmouths can be quickly destroyed using: explosher, grizzco slosher, crab tank bombs, killer wail 5.1, booyah bomb, triple inkstrike or inkjet!

> snatchers can be your friends! 😎 if there's lots of eggs far away on the shore, the snatchers may sometimes grab those eggs fly right over near the basket w/ them, which is a perfect time to splat them there!

> if ur playing freelance, a casual player, or w/ someone who isnt familiar w/ any sr tips like luring or weapon advantages (e.g., rushing to splat lurable bosses at the shore, not using their explosher on mudmouths, etc)... match their playstyle! — going "this way!" at them or waiting around in hopes they'd eventually get it would only lose time, so it's best to just play along haha

and those are some of the salmon run tips that helped me out! 🫡 i hope any of these are of some use haha

Life Update!

I talked about this on my twitter but realized I havent said it here yet.

But….. I’m a mom now!

….a cat mom 🐱

For the past few days, I’ve been very busy with nurturing two rambunctious kitties, who I’ve named Ashanti and Trickster. They were stray kittens from my dad’s neighborhood that have unfortunately been orphaned, only being 4 weeks old.

I’ve given them a flea bath and have been bottle-feeding them kitten formula, and i’ll start introducing them to wet kitten food bit by bit! As I live with my mom & siblings, they said they’ll help me out whenever they can! I’ve been watching a ton of kitten/cat care vids and even have a cat book that I’ve bought n held onto for several years, so im glad that I kept it!

Eventually, these guys will need to have their first vet visits. We already have a small dog and my mom covers for her vet bills, but because we have two cats now, that means their vet bills will be doubled I assume.

I’ve created a GoFundMe campaign to prepare for future vet expenses, but I also have a goal for this on my Ko-fi, which you can find here. If the GFM doesn’t work out, then I’ll leave the Ko-fi one as the only goal, and vice versa 💕

Any help is greatly appreciated!! And do expect more updates regarding Trickster and Ashanti 🐱🐱

Idk if u kno this or not but think I remember Nintendo removing one of frye’s noises for losing the splatfest because it sounded like “what ze fuck” and honestly they should’ve kept it because it really feels like something she would say

me, late last year: *has to do summarization homework for college on an article, so i pick a randomass nasa article about a solar eclipse*

me, a week later: "..... i slept thru a fucking solar eclipse and the weather was clear??? NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS,,," *somehow literally forgot about the eclipse article i did for hw a week ago*
