I’m really excited to announce that I plan to attend Playgrounds: The Art Department this year! Last year was a rough year for my health and I had to cancel many events as a result. I really hope this year will be different and that I will be healthy enough to attend both the Berlin and Eindhoven editions! It’s definitely a very high priority for me, so I will be doing my absolute best to be there!
Last year I planned to give a talk with my friend Iris Compiet about the messier sides of building a career as an artist, and because it was cancelled last year, we will be doing this talk at this year’s event. I will also be selling books and just hanging around! Hopefully I will see some of you there ❤️ There will also be some amazing speakers this year, so definitely check it out! For more info, check out the Playgrounds website ✨
I was in a phase of drawing marble statues, which eventually led to the creation of this painting. Don’t ask me what those blobs are. Pringles? Beans? Lava lamp wax? I have no idea 😤
I get a lot of questions about how I choose colors, and what it really comes down to is: I just play around with the color scheme until I like what I see.
This is a little preview of my latest video which talks about which tools I use to modify the colors! The full video also includes some paint-overs of other people’s artwork ~ those are always so much fun to do ✨ Find it here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/tutorial-colors-98597276
Only ONE DAY left to order Gallery In A Box! After that, you won’t be able to order one anymore - ever again! So if you’re interested, visit https://loish.shop to get yours ~
You might have seen my posts about my new shop, Loish.Shop! It’s time for me to share more information about the first product I’ll be launching there ~ This is the Gallery In A Box! It contains 64 art cards inside a pretty little drawer box with a ribbon pull. Each card has artwork on the front and the sketch on the back. Every little detail, from the design of the box to the roundness of the corners, were tweaked and perfected over the last year to create this, and I’m so excited to finally be able to show it to you all!
This is my first custom designed product, and it will be available soon as a limited release! That means that there will be a specific timeframe in which you can order these - after that, it will no longer be available. To receive details about this release, sign up to the mailing list at Loish.Shop. We’re sending out more information on Monday, so keep an eye on your inbox 👀
Playing around with some new brushes and rendering styles. I’ve just been craving a little more texture lately! I like my art slightly crunchy these days.
She is brightness, she is luminance. She will hypnotize you and drag you into her world. Her name...
... is Light Mode.
This drawing turned out a little more serious than I had originally intended. I get so many comments about using light mode for my computer and phone that it became the inspiration for some new artwork!
