the album is set up as the hero's journey. it's one journey - so i think the tonal consistency and blending is intentional.

i can see where she was going w it as an artistic choice but for me rn it just made the album feel a little boring to me at times 😭

OK FINAL THOUGHTS

#maybe it's bc i just finished an 8hr shift and its pretty late rn but im not LOVING rn </3 #i just feel like at times it feels a little monotonous and repetitive and some of the lyrics feel clunky?? BUT that's not to say the entire #album is bad there are some songs i really like!! current faves are so long london who's afraid of little old me and loml #IDK like even then im not OBSESSED w them the way i normally am when i pick my faves during my first listen of a taylor album #i defs need more time to sit w it but this is how i feel rn!!!!!!!

Here’s my take on leaks - 1) not listening to leaks doesn’t make you superior 2) listening to leaks doesn’t mean you don’t respect art or are a terrible person (seriously ppl chill) 3) sometimes people have to work early the next morning or have a big presentation the next day so it’s just easier to listen a few hours early 4) if you choose to listen to leaks just don’t post about it out of respect for others. Like Jesus people these things aren’t mutually exclusive! I don’t understand the ongoing debate
