imagine being a lead designer/engineer for some security lock company and releasing what you think is the most safe and secure lock possible and the next day someone sends you a video from the LockPickingLawyer titled “[1548] “Unpickable Lock” Makes Foolish Rookie Mistake, Picked in Under 5 Seconds With Pocket Lint”
damn i really miss diners……….not solely for the aesthetic aspect but the sense of community that comes from eating there whether in silence or sharing conversation………….all the diners i regularly ate at are populated and run by working class folks and artists and i miss feeling that sense of connection often with strangers while eating greasy breakfast food in the middle of the night………..there’s something to be said for diners as both a space of liminality/relics of a different time and as a space of human connection………….
Fate, a billion dollar franchise, started out as a single h-game. I played through it, and I certainly have opinions (the sex scenes are really bad as is well known, the exposition at the beginning of route 1 is obnoxious, but otherwise it's pretty good).
Now normally for people getting into the franchise they're either prepared for the sex scenes or they're completely unaware that they exist and are horrified. But I kind of wonder what it's like for people who just want to go in to watch the character designs bone, and then have to sit through 3 hours of explanations of how magic works before we get some of the worst sex scenes ever written.
Everyone is right about the Baobhan sith being a type of vampire being, but I don't recall the barghest ever being a werewolf type creature specifically. There is however a type of "wolfman" creature called a Wulver that is generally benevolent unless provoked, they like to fish and will even share their fish you. I think fairy Gawain is in a similar position as Atalanta, not really a were-creature, they just have the features of phantasmal beasts (boar and wolf)
Yeah I knew Barghests were supposed to be magic black dogs, not some kind of werewolf. Still, Nasu tends to change things so it never hurts to ask
