Hello, lovely readers, Apologies for dropping off the map for the last month. I have been busy… freeing myself from physical therapy only to immediately injure myself the same week. Which has not been fun. But never fear; I’ve been hard at work. Somehow, I’ve gotten the bulk of I Dreamt of You written, and now I only have three scenes left until I finish this draft. Which is exciting! Here’s another excerpt from the first scene:
He grasped at nothing and wondered why he would even reach for a sword when this was a dream.

Hello lovely readers, I come bearing more good news! I’ve finished two more scenes of I Dreamt of You! I’m very excited about this. This is the fastest I’ve ever worked on a first draft since I was thirteen. I’ll keep chugging along; hopefully, I’ll have this draft finished by the end of the month. Four WIPs haunt me at the moment, so I’d like to get this draft done and move on with the project.  Anyway, here’s another snippet from the first scene:
Something flashed in the corner of his eye. Cahir whirled, grasping for the ghost of his sword.

Imagine if instead of Nancy, Tristan's love interest was George
Maritime family for like three generations or something before Victoria fucked up
Nick clearly knew Tristan in 4x01 greeting him warmly. And nick's only been co boss of the claw for like. 6 months. George has been working at the claw since she was a teen to support her sisters.
If Fanson wasn't going to be endgame in the show anyway then give George a love interest she had chemistry with (but that they really had any in the show but the potential was staggering and also not to sound mean but Tristan was only here for this one season. They could've gotten an actor leah lewis had chemistry with.) instead of that one off law classmate of hers that contributed nothing to the plot
(obviously I am very much still endgame Fanson after the events of the show. Growing separately before growing back together and all)
The ANGST of George being the one to call to the sin eater in S4B/the episode of Nancy and her Crossbow
The relatability between them for not being able to leave Horseshoe Bay before in their life (George because of her sisters and financial situation, Tristan because of the curse)
Most importantly it doesn't mess with the main ship in the final fucking season. They have enough of their own problems without adding a goddamn love triangle

Hello, my lovelies! Sorry for skipping last week; I was busy writing. I’ve been a busy bee, making progress on both Of Evenings in the Woods and I Dreamt of You. I’ve written two more scenes of I Dreamt of You since I last posted, and I’ve drafted most of the new chapter for Of Evenings in the Woods. And I’ve started brainstorming for a novel! Exciting things are happening for me. I’m still trying to find more time to write, but at least I’ve started. Here’s another snippet from the first scene of I Dreamt of You:
Lightning struck the tower again, streaking across the sky like silver chains.

AU: The Age of Queens, How It Could End
Tumblr media
The end of the Targaryen and Baratheon civil wars, and in turn their bloodlines, was defined in the era now known as “The Age of Queens”.
Queen Daenerys Targaryen, the restorer, served as the first of this Age’s Queen. Known in her time as the Mother of Dragons and the Breaker of Chains, history remember the last true born Targaryen as “the Bloody Queen” for the immense death toll under her rule. Historian attribute the unprecedented death toll of small folk and nobles alike to a disastrous combination of dragon fire, her immense army, and unknown diseases carried across the Narrow Sea.
Queen Myrcella Baratheon, the bastard, was crowned with the support of House Martell upon the defeat of the Targaryen queen and her dragons. Married to Prince Trystane of Dorne before her coronation, the former Princess’ reign was short lived. Marred by rumors of bastardy and facing the threat of a legitimate Baratheon heir, Myrcella was abandoned by her supporters and executed in the name of Queen Shireen Baratheon, having only enjoyed nine days on the Iron Throne.
Queen Shireen Baratheon, the unlikely, is remembered as the most successful of this Age’s Queens, leading the recovery of the Seven Kingdoms after the bloody War of Five Kings and the subsequent civil wars of succession. A popular Queen, Shireen was known in her time as “the Virgin Queen” for her refusal to marry and her commitment to the Kingdom, her true love and devotion. Historians remember her best as the “ender of bloodlines,” a controversial title to be sure depending on their reasoning but the fact remains that with her death, Westeros lost the last true born heir with ties to the Baratheon and Targaryen bloodlines.
In the end, the best remembered Queen of the Age was not a Queen of the Seven Kingdoms but that of its northern neighbor, the Stark Queen. Queen Sansa Stark, the wolf queen, ruled as a contemporary to Queen Shireen; having negotiated their independence upon the restoration of Baratheon rule in the South. Historians attribute their decades long friendship as the reason for Queen Shireen’s decision to name the Stark Queen’s second born son, Prince Brandon Stark, as her heir. A highly debated decision today, it proved to be an well respected decision at its time; aided by the popularity of the Stark Queen in the South and the rumors of the man who fathered her children. No official record remains of the North’s first prince consort but well substantiated rumors at the time named him a bastard made prince, a hero of the Long Night, of Baratheon or Targaryen blood.
The Westeros “Age of Queens” came to an end with the death of Queen Shireen Baratheon in the South. A decade later, the death of Queen Sansa Stark in the North, marked the official beginning of “The Stark Age,” aptly named for the Stark Kings that ruled the two Westeros kingdoms: King Brandon Stark, First of His Name, Protector of the Seven Kingdoms and King Robb Stark, Second of His Name, King of the North.

Hello, lovely readers, What a great January it has been so far. I have so far met my goal of Writing 50 Words every day, which has helped me make fantastic progress on Of Evenings in the Woods and I Dreamt of You. Today, I finished the first scene in I Dreamt of You. It still needs work because I want it to feel a certain way, but I’m happy with where I’m starting. I’ll start on the second scene tomorrow. Here’s another snippet from I Dreamt of You:
He stood on the edge of a cliff overlooking a roiling sea. On the other side of the island, a fortress burned, smoke rising as the flames burned higher.

Hello, lovely readers,
Happy New Year! I hope 2024 has been kind to you so far. I am back at work (ugh), but I am determined to do more writing this year than last! My resolution this year is to write at least 50 words daily, and I have met it so far. I have made excellent progress on I Dreamt of You so far. I feel like the words are just flowing out of my brain, which is a great deal better than the last first draft I worked on, which felt like I had to pry them out one at a time. I’m hoping that I can keep this momentum going all the way until the end of the draft. Of course, I have no idea when I will finish this draft, but I’m glad to be working on it all the same.
The struggle comes in that I am supposed to edit Of Evenings in the Woods and draft I Dreamt of You simultaneously, and I often find it challenging to work on two projects at once. I guess I will have to do two writing sprints a day until Of Evenings in the Woods is posted.
But anyway, here’s the next snippet of I Dreamt of You:
Lightning rent the sky, bringing the world into focus.
