Today (April 10th) was me and my boyfriend’s first anniversary together :) it was so much fun! We became boyfriend and girlfriend officially one year ago but we had been dating and getting to know each other for 6 months before that so we’re 1 year and a half if that counts!

First of all, he showed up at my doorstep in a suit, and I had never seen him in a suit before…

I think I’m an easy person to read, hahah

Once that shock was dulled down a bit, we got to give our gifts to each other

I gave him a photo album with pictures of all of our memories from this last year and a half, with each picture’s date of being taken, and I customized the cover and made a collage with mini versions of us! I also gave him some flowers (he gave me a bouquet last year so I wanted to do the same) and chocolate I thought he might like because it had coffee flavored ones and he loves coffee!

He gave me a giant penguin plushie (penguins are his spirit animal so it’s like a mini him!) ((we named him happy feet)) and he also wrote me a letter and made me some drawings like he always does!

Then, we went to a restaurant we had made a reservation for that’s on the rooftop of a shopping center nearby! Not only was the view and atmosphere really nice but the food was delicious too and we drank together! It had been a while!

Today was so much fun and juggling all the preparations for the gifts with university was so worth it in the end! I’m so happy I was able to give him something meaningful to us

I wonder how faraway relationship anniversary celebrations will look like for us…
