It hasn’t been officially confirmed yet in the story, but I think it’s safe to say that she is probably apart of the “I’m Zeus’ mistress” club based on what’s been hinted so far and what happened in actual Greek myth.
Besides that, thoughts on our new character??

I love these two. They are like twins which is scary.
Zeus is hyperventilating in the corner and hades and Poseidon have to hold him back because he's thinking with his dick -

Persephone has secret connections to the fertility goddesses before her and how this is important.
This episode was SUPER important for a lot of reasons.
1) we find out Demeter KNOWS and is actively hiding ALOT from well everyone really most importantly Persephone.
2) We learn how powerful fertility goddesses are and WHY they're such a big deal.
3) We learn that there's a TON of similarities to Persephone and her predecessors.
First Demeter knew from the start what Persephone is and hid that information from her. The why is VERY clear. Demeter didn't want her only daughter to have the same fate as her Mother. To be consumed for Power. Specifically by someone malicious like Zeus. Shes hiding that from just about everyone who doesn't already know what fertility goddesses are.
Second were learning more about this big reveal of a huge chunk of who Persephone is as a goddess and how her existance in Olympus can be difficult for many parties involved. Fertility goddesses could be perceived as the most powerful of all gods since another god can consume them and gain more power. Which is a huge plot point knowing that Demeter helped Zeus overthrow Kronos and watched him consume her mother to do so and Apollo is full on obsessed with our cinnamon roll. We just found out WHY he is so obsessed with Persephone and possibly what his true intentions are with her.
Lastly if you look at the photos you can start making similarities to Persephone and the previous fertility goddesses.
Persephone takes mostly after Gaia in the abilities section. She controls earth and plants and wears it in her Wrath form heavily just like Gaia does.
She then takes after Rhea secondary in color and clothing style when she's not Wrathful or using her abilities. Outfits Perse has worn her birth home Sicily and her personality makes it super hard not to think of her as Modern Rhea.
However how does Metis fit in? This was a hard one and took a but to look at it really but Persephones features the way her eyes and face are drawn are the connection. Metis has soft gorgeous features (all the goddesses were thicc thanks Rach my gay heart appreciates that) Recolor Persephone and she'll look a LOT like Metis. Her plant wings in her Wrath form could also be a hint at Metis as well.
All of this accompanied by Persephones hidden wrath/personality we've been told about. (we haven't found out why or who that relates to yet unless it's exclusively Persephone)
Taking note of this I feel is super important not only because the earth has tricky way of protecting itself but because it's actually a huge plot point.
Rach is VERY careful with the way the colors compliment and tell a story along with the words and conversations we are given. These similarities aren't a coincidence.( and I'll eat my words if they are. )
I believe a lot of it has to do with breaking the cycle of abuse of fertility goddesses powers. The only fertility goddess that's shown to allude to the others is Persephone the other goddesses don't take after the other.
The point to doing this I believe was because we know zilch about Persephones Wrath. Her anger that brews under the surface. The anger that she accidentally releases when she's stressed OR UNDER ATTACK.
We watched her abilities go nuts after she was threatened by Apollo with the photos and then Zeus calling for her arrest which are attacks and stressors for Persephone and from her story about her act of wrath it lines up.
This anger is an accumulation of the grievance from the previous three goddesses. Imagine being used for your gifts just to help someone else be selfish and take over the world. Not only would I be angry but I'd be sad too. We don't know much how Gods work after death but the universe irl is funny in the way that Karma is perceived to be an entirely real thing by a majority of humans and the Universe tends to back that claim up....alot. So I have no doubt that Persephones Wrath is the other goddesses pushing through the viel to help not only protect her but learn more and to stop the cycle ending more fertility goddesses from being eaten and having the same fate as the rest.
Persephone no doubt will break the cycle but it's important for us the readers to understand why and how we got to this conclusion especially with the subtly that is heavily written into this story. (also to appreciate it as well :3)
TLDR: Persephone isnt going to be alone fighting the cycle of abuse with fertility goddesses. The previous ones are already with her along with those who are still alive and her abilities and design foreshadow this heavily.

Persephone: I didn’t sleep at all last night. I’m exhausted.
Eros: You know they say that if you can’t sleep, it’s because someone is thinking about you.
Persephone: Who would be thinking about me at 3AM?
*flashback to last night*
Hades, to Cerberus: And then, she just turned into butterflies!
