I've spent the past few days at home with a fever. I feel much better today, but still having to stay in quaranteen for another 48 hours. This morning, I also got some bad news (or rather, more on the annoying scale, because things did not turn out the way I wanted them to).
So, I decided to take out my frustration by stabbing a piece of fabric a couple of times. The result is that I have now finished the third bear, and I have found the lower part of where the stupid blue door should end. I was not so far off as I had feared, and even though the door knob will be a little out of scale (it should be about two rows higher up than it is), it will still look OK when it's done.
It's not called mistakes, it's calles personalization.

I need to make this out of my leftovers!
This is a paraphrase of a Swedish ryhme:
Lär dig livets stora gåta: älska, glömma och förlåta. Translation: Learn the big riddle of life: love, forget and forgive.
The translation of the paraphrase: Learn the big riddle of life: love, read and eat cake 😛🥰

The feelings I currently have for this door... they are not heartfelt, let me tell you that! Somehow, I've screwed up the counting. The bottom part of the door is supposed to be two rows below the top row of the roof. It is currently one row above the roof. And I can't find where the problem is either, which is making it even harder to fix. *deep sigh*.
So, I have decided to work around it instead, first finishing the bears and then do the lower part of the rosebush and the path, and _then_ finish the doorway.
This door is blue. That is all I like about it right now.

Leaf... Coming along! I'd been dreading that white & cream section bcos So Much white on white aida :( but it was actually very easy! Probably bcos there's only like 3 colours in there so once I'd done the first one it was just a matter of filling in the gaps...

I took a liking to that little cloudy thingy holding the needles. Where could I find something similar? And what is it called? 😛

So this forest and I have not really been friends. Somewhere along the way I completely screwed up the counting. In the end I decided to just start with the black rows ib the bottom and then sort of improvise my way up.
As someone once told me: it's not called mistakes, it's called personalisation 😉
Oh, and btw, do you see that tiiiiny tiny speck of red/purple-ish along the edge of the greens? That's the tip of Rumplestilskin's hat 😊

Mental Crop Rotation
When farmers grow the same crop too many years in a row, it can leave their soil depleted of minerals and other nutrients that are vital to the health of their fields.
To avoid this, farmers will often alternate the crops that they grow because some plants will use up different minerals (such as nitrogen) while other plants replenish those minerals. This process is known as “crop rotation.”
So the next time you find that you need to step away from a project to work on something else for a while, don’t beat yourself up for “quitting” that project. Give yourself permission to practice “mental crop rotation” to maintain a healthy brain field.
Because I’ve found that when that unnecessary guilt and pressure are removed from the process, a good mental crop rotation can help you feel more energized and invigorated than ever once you’re ready to rotate back to that project.
