How to show that a character is asexual
…Because interrupting the narrative to turn it into Asexuality 101 is not always a good idea.
It may be easier to implement these ideas if you’ve also read my asexual character development question list. You can also get more ideas from reading and answering those questions.
Note: Most of these ideas will also work for gray-asexual and demisexual characters, because they tend to have a lot of experiences in common with asexuals.
Say it outright.
The only way to be 100% certain is for the character to identify themself as asexual in the story’s text. Everything else I suggest here, at most, can only hint in that direction. If you intend to actually represent asexuality in your story and not just imply it, you must state it explicitly at some point. Otherwise, you’re just doing the asexual equivalent of queerbaiting (acebaiting?), which is infuriating because asexual people have almost no fictional representation in the first place.
Your characters might use the word “asexual,” or they might say something else that means the same thing. When doing this, remember that there is a difference between being asexual and being celibate.
Examples:
“I’m asexual.”
“I’ve never been sexually attracted to anyone.”
“I do not lust after other people.”
“I’m not attracted to anyone, and never have been.”
“I don’t have any urge for carnal pleasures.”
Drop hints about it in dialogue.
Think about your character’s attitude toward sex. Are they sex-repulsed, sex-indifferent or sex-enjoying? When they think about sex in general, do they find it boring, gross, annoying, creepy, amusing, weird, or just meh? Most asexual people do not enjoy sex or seek it out, but they aren’t outright afraid of it either. When you write dialogue, think about your asexual character’s opinions, feelings, and expectations about sexuality, and look for opportunities to suggest that they’re not on the same wavelength as everybody else.
Examples:
“I’m not interested in anybody.”
“I’m not planning on getting married.”
“Dating is overrated.”
“I hate it when movies have sex scenes.”
“Wait, people actually find it hard to be celibate?”
You can also subtly suggest that a character is asexual by writing them as oblivious to or disturbed by innuendo, dirty jokes, flirting, and/or conversations about sex. Some asexual people have a hard time picking up on these things, or will assume everything is platonic unless it’s explicitly spelled out as sexual. Others might be so repulsed by sex that they don’t even like hearing about it. And then again, some asexuals find the subject hilarious or interesting, and will be very explicit or detached when talking about it, to the point of making non-asexual people feel awkward.
Develop an asexual backstory, and mention it in the text.
Think about the ways that your character was affected by growing up asexual, and how their youth may have differed from other people’s. Maybe they always winced and turned away at kissing scenes in movies. Maybe they couldn’t be bothered to date anyone in high school. Maybe they tried having sex, just to see what all the fuss was about, but regretted it or were disappointed. Maybe they spent years wondering what was wrong with them because they didn’t like sex. If the character is old enough, think about how asexuality may have affected their dating life in the past. If your character knows they’re asexual, you should also think about the experiences that led them to realize it.
Adjust the way that the asexual character speaks.
If your character uses words and concepts that are rarely heard outside the asexual community, it’s a big fat sign that they identify as asexual, or are at least very familiar with asexuality. The asexual community thinks about love, attraction and relationships in a different way than mainstream culture does, and our language reflects that. I’ve compiled a nice glossary of words and concepts that your asexual character may use in conversation. You can also try dropping references to asexual culture, such as a black ring on the right middle finger, or the colors of the asexual flag. (I advise staying away from the cake jokes, though.)
Some asexual people avoid describing other people as “hot” or “sexy,” because those words may imply sexual attraction.
Show how asexuality affects the character’s romantic and/or sexual relationships (or lack thereof).
Some scenarios that asexual characters may encounter:
They are virgins well into their 20s, or even later.
They have sex, but find the experience underwhelming, disgusting or disturbing.
Their relationships become strained because their partner wants sex but they don’t.
They avoid dating entirely because the prospect of having sex with someone makes them uncomfortable.
They feel like they have to fake being sexually attracted to someone.
They’re afraid their partner will leave them for someone more interested in sex.
They can’t find a partner because they don’t want to have sex.
They do find a partner who doesn’t mind having a sexless relationship.
They choose to have sex for different reasons than most people do, and these reasons are not related to sexual attraction.
They want to “wait until marriage” but are secretly dreading having sex after the wedding.
Their relationship with their romantic partner is not taken seriously by other characters because it does not involve sex.
They form a queerplatonic relationship instead of a romantic relationships.
Their partner agrees to become celibate, or they work out a compromise on what kinds of sexual activities they’ll do together.
They set up an open or polyamorous relationship so their partner gets sexual satisfaction elsewhere, while still remaining happily together.
They seek medical treatment for not being as sexually interested as they think they’re supposed to be.
They don’t think that they need birth control or STD protection because they are celibate.
I’m undoubtedly forgetting a lot more.
Make the character’s hobbies, lifestyle, goals, and entertainment choices reflect their asexuality.
Keep in mind that asexual people are diverse, and the ideas listed below do NOT apply to all, or even to the majority of asexual people in real life. But they can be good starting points for sparking discussions about asexuality in your story, or as additions to an asexual character who is otherwise well-rounded. They can also be good ways to foreshadow that a character is asexual.
The following are just a few examples of how asexuality can affect someone’s lifestyle:
They choose to avoid media that contains graphic depictions of sex.
They don’t have a porn collection.
They avoid romantic movies, or movies with sex scenes in them.
They avoid going to bars, nightclubs, strip clubs, raves, or other places with sexually charged atmospheres.
They tend to avoid collecting art and music that have sexual content.
They do not try to dress up so as to appear attractive to the opposite sex.
They don’t enjoy hanging out with non-asexual friends who talk about sex or sexual attraction a lot.
They avoid casual sex or one night stands entirely.
They never want to get married.
They expect to spend their future and old age single.
They aren’t very interested in having sex, and need a strong reason before they’ll consider it.
Make other characters curious about the asexual character’s dating life or sexual orientation.
In real life, if a person between the ages of 16 and 50 goes for years without having or seeking a sexual relationship, people often get nosy. They may ask why the asexual person isn’t married yet, wonder if something is wrong, or even spread rumors about that person.
Asexual people are not heterosexual, and often do not fit in well with a culture of heteronormativity and compulsory sexuality. Think about how your asexual character’s words, attitudes and lifestyle will be perceived by other people, and what those people are likely to say and do in response.
Use another character as a foil.
By writing another character who differs from your asexual character in behavior, attitudes or sexual priorities, you can show just how distinct the asexual character really is. Consider putting the characters in similar situations and having them react differently, or making different choices. The foil character doesn’t need to be a super-horny, oversexed, socially aggressive extrovert; in fact, it’s often more effective to write a person of average libido and sexual activity, and who is portrayed as “normal” and typical by the narrative, because this highlights just how unusual and different asexuality is.
Be careful that you do not portray the foil character’s sexuality as a negative trait, or else you may risk putting slut-shaming, misogynistic or homophobic implications into your story. They can be a villain, but unless they engage in sexual coercion, rape or other Very Bad Sex Acts then their villainy should be unrelated to their sexuality.
Don’t your make foil character a rapist. Just…don’t do it. It’s very difficult to pull this off without making the overall tone of the story to be sex-negative, and it puts asexuality at odds with sexual violence while leaving little room for consensual, healthy sex.
Read blogs and websites written by asexual people.
You can get a lot of ideas by reading about how individual people experience asexuality. (If you ARE asexual, of course, you can draw on your own experiences.) Asexual bloggers talk about unusual or interesting things that happen to them as a result of being asexual, how asexuality affects their relationships with other people, what kinds of things they want, like or dislike because of asexuality, and more. Every person’s experiences are unique, and while they may not represent all asexual people, they are real and worth considering. Think about how you can adapt some of those experiences into a fictional context. There are many asexual bloggers on Tumblr.

Ask box open for Luke!
Ey, Loudsters! In honor of Pride Month starting, I’m temporarily opening the ask box for Luke, my favorite bi boy! Any scenarios you wanna see for him, ask me!
Notes, if you haven’t read his personality headcanon:
~Luke has a crush on a boy named Sam.
~Luke is closeted. His family doesn’t know that he’s bisexual or that Sam is a boy.
~He’s afraid of telling his family about him.
~The first person he plans on telling about him is Linka.
I’m only accepting scenarios for Luke! Anything else will not be answered. All rules in the description apply.
Also, I’d like to get this misconception out of the way. This isn’t an “Ask the Louds” blog like this: https://ask-loud-bros.tumblr.com/ This is a headcanon and scenario blog, where I write scenarios and headcanons out.
I do plan on starting a blog like that, but it’s not this blog. However, I will keep the couple peoples’ questions who thought that for my future blog so I can draw them out and answer them. But I’m sorry for that misunderstanding.

Requests Closed (for now)!
Thanks so much for all the requests, guys! The ask box will be closed temporarily so I can answer all of them. Warning, I might be a little slow on posts cause I have a huge animation project to work on. And I’m also editing all my previous posts. Mainly the personality and relationship headcanons. So I’ll do my best to answer the requests as quick as I can.
Thank you for understanding! 💛

I think Levi would be smart enough to figure Luke out. But he just wouldn't really care.
Eh, I think he’d be too busy with his own thing to care about his siblings’ secrets. Yes, it’d be easy for Levi to figure out what Luke is hiding, but he doesn’t bother to waste his time and intelligence on finding out his siblings’ secrets. So he’d be as oblivious as the other siblings. (except Linka and Loki, of course).

Yes! I love Sam questions.
I wanna keep Luke’s and Sam’s appearances contrasting, but complimenting at the same time (like Luna and Sam).
Sam is a thin boy. He has short blonde hair that’s also very very fluffy, and has a teal streak highlight in his bangs. And he has two helix piercings in each of his ears.
He wears a white shirt with the RAF roundel on the front, the shirt being long-sleeved with the sleeves rolled up a bit. He wears a pair of deep burgundy jeans ripped at the knees, a black belt with silver studs, and a pair of black ankle boots. He doesn’t wear a jacket.
Basically, this fanart of him by hellshout97. This is basically my idea of his appearance. (god, I love this art so much): https://hellshout97.tumblr.com/post/162531205694/se-me-resbal%C3%B3-mi-mano-pero-se-resbal%C3%B3-bien

How about this for a scenario; Loki going to grab something and hearing Luke trying to write a love song. After hearing a few lyrics he can tell the song is about a guy. He doesn't confront Luke directly, but tries to let him know that he likes it and that everything is okay.
Haha, I got a bit carried away with this one. This little ask turned into a 1805 word short story ^^; But I had a blast writing it. And after revising it a few times, I like the finished product. And it took a week and a little help from a friend to come up with the lyrics.
So that’s why this took forever… oops 😓 But I hope you like it!
Quiet Reassurance
12:00 AM
Loki silently walks through the open doorway of his bedroom holding his forehead with gritted teeth. “Dang it, Lynn,” he groans quietly. Living with 9 younger brothers was gonna wake him up in the middle of the night with pounding headaches. At least he didn’t have to deal with any of them now. And a glass of water and some aspirin should help… til the morning.
He walks down the hall past Luke and Lane’s room, not hearing the faint strumming of a guitar through the slightly ajar door. Inside the bedroom, Luke was awake sitting on his bed, his side facing the doorway, with a notebook in his hand and biting a pencil. Night time was when he was in his best song-writing mode. His guitar was sitting on his lap as well.
“🎵Just another feeling to push inside🎵… Um…” Luke trails off into mumbles after coming to a writer’s block. He writes down those last lyrics and rubs a hand down his face, exhaling a little too loud for his liking. Fearing he woke Lane up, he leans over his bed frame to make sure the comedian was still asleep.
“Mm, it statics…” Lane mumbles in his sleep. “If I wanted to listen to static for two hours, I’d listen to my brother blasting his music through his speakers.” He chuckles in his sleep at his wisecrack.
Luke rolls his eyes and sits back up straight, putting his notebook down beside him. He looks back down at his guitar and grips the neck of it. “Are the lyrics too revealing?” he asks himself, rubbing his slightly sweaty fingers over the strings. He bites his lip, then shakes his head. “No. I said I was gonna go all out for Sam. No backin’ out now…” He mumbles that last bit. His ear twitches at the sound of a squeaky floorboard and his furrowed eyebrows raises. He darts his eyes over at his door, but saw nothing outside. He sharply exhales in relief and looks back at his guitar. He’s never tried so hard on a song before. Usually, it was easy to write and play a song with very little questions and hesitation, but this one…
He takes a quiet, deep breath and starts strumming a quiet, soft rock melody. All the while, Sam is on his mind. The more he thought of him, the pinker his cheeks turn and the softer his voice gets. And the bigger his smile grows. Then he starts to sing the new lyrics to his song with his soft, gentle, but shaky voice. “🎵My feelings bottled, this isn’t how I should be feeling about you… but I can’t help it… you’re so sweet and cool, dude, but I don’t know how you will take them, though…🎵”
Right beside Luke’s door, Loki stands completely stiff with his glass of water and aspirin in his hands while he listens to Luke’s chorus with raised eyebrows. He listened to the fear and worry in his voice. His fear of being rejected by Sam… his worry of being shown the door… because he’s… “Luke…” Loki mumbles to himself sadly.
He had no idea. He couldn’t believe Luke would keep something like that from him. …Actually, thinking about it, he could believe it. He was surely surprised… But he wasn’t disappointed. How’s he gonna let Luke know that? He bows his head toward the ground with sadly drooped eyelids as he thinks of a way to talk to his little brother.
A couple seconds later, his eyes widen and he lifts his head. After gripping the pill in his other hand and he glances toward Luke’s room once again, he tiptoes into his bedroom and puts his glass of water on his bedside table. Roll with it. Not needing to worry about waking up the deeply sleeping Loni, he softly leaves his room and tiptoes back to Luke’s ajar door. He looks toward the door and takes a deep, silent breath. He then lowers his eyelids voluntarily and quietly knocks.
Luke jumps, accidentally strumming down on the strings of his guitar and immediately grabs the neck to silence it, only leaving a millisecond echo. “What is it?!” he hisses quietly. Loki pops his head through the door, rubbing his eye.
“Luke,” he mumbles.
“Oh, Loki,” Luke says. “What’re you doin’ up late, bro?”
“Getting a glass of water. And aspirin,” Loki replies quietly. Again, jus roll with it. “What’re you doing up late?”
“Oh, um… just writing a song…” Luke lowers his head, slightly facing away from his brother. “For Sam…”
“Oh. Well, could you play downstairs so you don’t wake the whole house up?” Loki yawns. Luke nods at his request and climbs down the bunk bed ladder with his guitar strapped around his back and notebook and pencil in his hands. He walks out the door and rolls his shoulders. The two of them walk downstairs, Luke slightly trailing behind Loki. Luke sits on the couch with his stuff while Loki heads for the kitchen for his second glass of water. He didn’t plan on drinking it, but he needed a cover story to go back downstairs. He needs to comfort his little brother.
“How’s the song writing going?” Loki asks tiredly while walking back into the living room.
“Rockin’…” Luke answers quietly, avoiding eye contact with Loki by looking down at his guitar and strumming it.
“Yeah, seems like it.” He raises a brow at him.
“I dunno, brah, it’s a love song!” Luke exclaims softly. “I mean, the song itself is good, but… it’s not easy singin’ what I have ta say.”
“And what’s so hard about what you have to say? You literally just have to say you like Sam.”
“It’s not that easy, man. Trust me.”
“Why not?” Loki asks sternly. Luke slightly blushes and gulps. Loki sighs. “Look, Luke. You’re right. Expressing those feelings isn’t easy. But if you bottle that stuff up, you’re just gonna get more stressed and it’s more likely those feelings will explode out of you against your will.”
“But I can’t just say them, dude! I can’t just sing about them that easily. There’s a chance Sam’ll get weirded out and not wanna be around me anymore if I sing ‘em.”
“C’mon, it can’t be that bad.”
“It is, Loki! Sam might hate me if I tell…”
“Why?” Loki bluntly asks. Luke blushes harder and turns his head away, bowing his head to the ground. “Is there something you’re not telling me?”
Luke slumps his shoulders and grips the neck of his guitar tight. “I… It’s…” He’s shaking now. Whether it’s from dread, trepidation, bottle-up dejection or a mix of all of them, he can’t tell. Loki looks at him concerned and sits next to him, placing his water glass on the side table.
“It’s what?” Loki asks. Luke exhales through his nose shakily and keeps his head bowed and his gaze to the ground, trying to blink back tiny tears in the corners of his eyes before his older brother could catch them.
Loki isn’t dumb. He just figured out what Luke wasn’t telling him. But he can’t force it out of him. He was clearly distressed to tell his family. So. Loki will do what he does best: be a big brother. Not to Linka, which happened more often. But to one of his little brothers. He grips the fist he’s holding his aspirin and takes a silent, deep breath. “Luke. I… don’t- fully understand what you’re going through. I don’t get why Sam might judge you if you say what you feel.” Lie. “But. I’m not judging you. None of us are. There’s nothing for you to be afraid of. And if someone does judge you, you know we’ll pulverize them. Cause no one messes with the Louds.” Luke slightly snickers. Loki wonders if he’s getting he knows.
He puts his hand around Luke, making him hunch his shoulders a bit. “And… I’ll be here. So will our siblings. And our parents. Everything’s gonna be okay. And if you ever need comfort, I’ll be here. And I know we’re brothers and this is literally the most sappy thing to say to my brother, but… I’m here for you. And nothing will change that. Whatever you go through with Sam, I’m gonna love you all the same.” He can’t tell if Luke is pondering his words.
Luke blinks and looks at Loki with tears in the corners of his eyes. He then gives him a small and sad smile. “Thanks, Lok.”
Loki gives him a reassuring smile and pats his back. “‘F course.”
“Weird ways of phrasing that, though.” Luke wipes his eyes with his arm and sniffles. His smile drops to a blank expression, then looks at Loki with furrowed brows. “If you tell the other guys about me cryin’, I will pound you, brah!” Now it’s back to normal.
Loki rolls his eyes. “Yeah, yeah. Let’s forget the sap, too.” He gives Luke a tiny smirk and gets up. “Now keep it down, I wanna sleep to escape the pounding headaches you guys give me for at least a little while.” He playfully shoves Luke’s head and walks upstairs. Luke smiles small after Loki as he walked back to his room.
Suddenly, he spots Loki’s glass of water on the side table. He picks it up and looks at the stairs, debating whether or not to take it to his brother for making him feel better. Luke then looks back at the cup again. Then shrugs and drinks the water. He has to drink water to keep his throat clear and his singing voice good, shut up. He puts his water down and readies himself to play his guitar. After waiting a couple seconds, he begins playing his melody and singing the lyrics with a quiet voice and a self-assuring smile.
Upstairs, Loki walks into his room and silently shuts his door. He walks over to his bed and sits down, slightly hunched over. He looks over at his first glass of water he grabbed before. Obviously, he didn’t need the second glass he left downstairs. Luke can drink it if he wants. He’s taken out of his thought when he hears Loni snort. He looks over and sees Loni fast asleep, snoring and snorting too loud for his liking. Loki narrows his eyes and lets out an exasperated sigh before popping the aspirin in his mouth and gulping his water to swallow it. He puts the glass down and lays under his covers. He hears the faint strumming coming from downstairs… before Loni’s snoring interrupts it, which leads Loki to pull one of his pillows over his ears to try and drown out the croaking sounds. Just one time, he’d like a silent night of sleep.

What if Loki and Loni knew about Luke's crush on Sam and just didn't say anything because they know how insecure he is about liking guys?
Hm, I can’t see Loni doing that. First, he’s not smart enough to keep a secret XD And second, he wouldn’t be able to understand why Luke is insecure about liking guys. Not because he’s a dunce, but because he’s very accepting of it and cares deeply for Luke and wants him to be happy. And third, he’s also not smart enough to figure it out on his own XD
But I can see Loki doing that. He can understand a little bit why Luke feels insecure about liking guys and he feels for him. So he can keep it a secret. But at the same time, he’ll support his brother and reassure him that there’s nothing for him to be ashamed of and that his siblings will love him all the same. This is one of those rare moments where one Loud brother will actually tell his brother he loves him. And he (and Linka) will be there for Luke when he’s ready to tell the others.
Sorry if you actually wanted a scenario of this instead! If you do, I can definitely do that.

Can we gave a situation with linka and lane do something togeyher (any plot would do really)
You got it! Coming up with a plot was harder than I thought ^^’ But I hope you like it! This was fun! (I wonder if this would make a good episode.)
———-
~ Linka is walking to the bathroom when she hears growling and crumpling paper from Luke and Lane’s room. She knocks on the door and Lane on the other side permits her to come in.
~ Linka walks in and steps into a pile of crumpled up papers on the ground and also spots a bunch of papers in the trash bin. And she sees Lane sitting at his desk, looking like he’s trying to write. Linka asks what’s up.
~ Lane explains that he has his first huge stand-up gig at the Chortal Portal because a comedic talent booker is gonna be present. Linka congratulates him, but Lane rebuttals that he can’t come up with any good stories or events to tell that’s funny enough. And that the gig is the next day. He literally pulled at his hair once.
~ Linka reminds him that he’s always been excited and confident with his material, but Lane refutes that he’s never performed in front of a professional talent booker. And that he’s a relatively young stand-up comedian, so it’ll be difficult to give a good enough performance to get a book.
~ Linka looks at him with a blank, ridiculed expression. Then she reminds him that they live in a small house with 11 kids under the roof. There’s always a story to tell. Lane then asks for her assistance. And she ends up hanging with him, telling him some stories about their siblings they’ve witnessed before.
~ While they tease them all throughout.
~ Lane: “Do you think Loni would keep that a secret?”   Linka: “Please. Loni’s too dumb to lie.” [they laugh]
~ After a few minutes, Linka hears the annoying twins fighting in the hallway. She rolls her eyes and runs out of Lane’s room to intervene. Lane peeks out of the door to watch.
~ Linka is pushing them apart to settle their fight. Over a bloody action figure. And she gets splattered with Leif’s mud after.
~ A lightbulb pops above Lane’s head and believes this will make a good story. Linka comes back to the room and helps him a bit more, but a couple minutes later, Lane tells her he’s got an idea and thanks her for her help. But he also asks her to accompany him to the Chortal Portal the next day.
~ Linka agrees to and goes to her room while Lane writes down his story.
~ The next day, Linka is sitting at a table in front of the stage in the Chortal Portal. There for support.
~ The talent booker is sitting in the back corner as well.
~ Lane walks up on stage to the microphone and gulps, pulling at his collar. He looks at the talent booker, then to his sister. After he takes a deep breath and calms down, he starts his routine.
~ At first, it goes well. He talks about his life with ten siblings, mentioning he has 9 brothers and a sister. The crowd and Linka are laughing. Even the talent booker is chuckling a bit.
~ Then when he’s nearly done, he riffs Linka (whom he just refers to as “my sister”) a bit. He talks of her nosy actions, based on her intervening in Leif’s and Lexx’s fight. And also mentions her meddling in her brothers’ lives. The crowd laughs at the finale, but Linka gets somewhat insulted.
~ After he ends the first part of his performance with a wave and walks off the stage, Linka asks him about the insult of her in the end. Lane explains that it was based off his observation and told them an honest story. It was just a bit of teasing.
~ Linka genuinely asks if she’s that nosy.
~ Now Lane feels a tiny bit bad. He didn’t mean to insult her. He explains that it was just a joke and not to take it seriously.
~ Linka trusts his words and walks back to her table, sipping on her soda, feeling a bit uneasy.
~ A couple minutes later, Lane is performing his second act and Linka is watching. In this act, he tells a story based on Linka’s oversensitivity.
~ Linka did not help him write this one. Was this the other idea he was talking about?
~ While he’s telling the story and the audience is laughing, Linka is fuming.
~ After he’s done, he gives a wave to the applauding crowd and steps off the stage. Suddenly, Linka pulls him in the corner and they get into an argument about the routines.
~ “I told you to tell stories, not insult me!”    “They were jokes, Linka. It’s stand-up comedy, they’re supposed to sound like I’m riffing you. Geez, the nosy joke might not be true, but the oversensitive one sure is.”
~ Linka is now insulted and blushing a small bit.
~ Then the talent booker walks up and interrupts them, which is probably a good thing. The talent booker starts talking to Lane while Linka grudgingly listens.
~ The talent booker tells Lane that he’s funny. He doesn’t normally find kids as young as he is to have good material like that. And he’ll be at the Chortal Portal tomorrow and that if he likes Lane’s routine again, he’ll look for a spot for him at a comedian’s festival he’s hosting.
~ Lane is excited, but loses his smile when he sees Linka’s grudging expression. The two of them leave, not talking to each other most of the time. With a couple arguing and insults in between.
~ After they get home, Linka storms up to her room. Lane sits on the couch and takes out his notebook.
~ Loki is sitting on the couch talking to Bebe at the time. Loki notices Linka storms up to her room and tells Bebe he’s gotta call her back when Lane sits down. He asks his brother what’s wrong with Linka. And Lane explains the situation.
~ Loki asks how he riffed her. Lane does the easier thing, turns to a previous page in his notebook, and shows Loki his written routine.
~ After letting out a sigh, Loki hands back the notebook and tells him that the writing is less telling a story and more actually insulting their sister. Lane didn’t realize.
~ Loki also tells him that Linka may indeed be a bit sensitive, but that he also should’ve asked her if he could make fun of her. And not make fun of a possible insecurity like that.
~ Lane now feels guilty over his actions and words and stares at his notebook.
~ …And Loki calls Bebe back, to which Lane gives the hardest eye roll.
~ Lane looks at Loki with lowered eyelids. Then another light bulb appears over his head and a bright smile appears on his face. He gets up and runs up to his room, and starts writing his next routine.
~ While Luke is asleep, snoring in the background.
~ The next day, Lane arrives at the Chortal Portal. He convinced Linka to come watch his next routine.
~ It took some convincing, but he got her to come.
~ Linka sits at the same table and watches him walk up onto the stage with the most angry and offended look at the same time. She’s ready to listen to the routine and leave already.
~ And Lane begins his routine.
~ But her face lightens up a bit when she listens to his story: her ability to manipulate her brothers to do ANYTHING.
~ “My sister has perks, being the only girl of 11 kids. One of them is that she has the power to get me and my brothers to do anything. She has this technique to do so, which is giving us huge puppy eyes. I don’t know if the others notice them, but I do. I notice the puppy eyes… And I oblige to do anything she asks me to, anyway. Not because I love her… I do, but that’s not why. I just feel like I have to. This is my little sister, which- younger sisters are born manipulative monsters. And she takes full advantage of it with glee. Because she knows I am a dumbass who will fall for it every. Time.”
~ Now Linka is laughing. Now this is a story she’s proud of. The crowd is laughing, too. And the talent booker is even laughing harder than yesterday.
~ After another successful night, the talent booker tells him he wants to get him a spot at the comedian’s festival he’s hosting. And that head executives will be there, looking for talented comedians to perform in their bigger theaters. He warns him that they’ll be a bit skeptical because of his young age, but he’ll give him a chance.
~ Lane is ecstatic and Linka hugs him for congratulations.
~ On the walk home, they make up. Lane apologizes for the routines the previous night, noticing his words were a bit hurtful and for not asking her if he could make fun of that. Linka forgives him and admits she can be quite sensitive, which she really doesn’t like and that’s why she got upset. Lane says that it’s okay to be sensitive, but he can help her grow a thicker skin if she wants. And Linka happily says yes. Which leads him to ask if he can make fun of her onstage. Linka gives permission, so long as he doesn’t use her name.
~ And Linka agrees to help him write his gigs for his stage performance, so they aren’t insulting.
~ When they get home, they see their brothers in the living room doing their hobbies and tell them the news.
~ After they congratulate him, they hear Loki talking to Bebe in the kitchen. Lane and Linka peek into the kitchen. While their brothers roll their eyes and cover their ears, Linka and Lane look at each other with mischievous grins.
~ Loki walks into the living room, hanging up his phone. And he looks at his siblings when he hears Lane’s voice.
~ Lane is kneeling in front of Linka dramatically and Linka has her hand on her hip and has her other hand on her cheek. And their brothers are snickering and laughing.
~ “Oh, Bebe! Truly, I am crazy crazy in love with you! But what I cannot understand is how a beautiful dame like yourself can go for a dorky, bossy, loudmouth-” A pillow is thrown at him.
~ Him and Linka are now laughing while running from a peeved Loki.

How are Luke and guy Sam together? Also how cool are the brothers about Luke being bi?
Actually I’ve answered both of these ^^
Luke and Sam’s relationship: https://loudhouse-genderbent-headcanons.tumblr.com/post/180640997829/whats-lukes-relationship-with-boy-sam
And your second question is in Luke’s personality post, but if you don’t wanna read it. Luke’s family doesn’t know he’s bi or that Sam is a boy and keeps it a secret from them cause he’s afraid of them looking down of him. He especially doesn’t want his siblings to be disappointed, so he’s most secretive around them more than anyone.
But if you wanna read the post: https://loudhouse-genderbent-headcanons.tumblr.com/post/180674953499/sorry-i-ask-again-what-are-luke-like-in-your
Thanks for asking ^^

Whats make stella like in ir headcannon (assuming there is one)?
Ooh lemme see! I can’t confirm that boy Stella would be in my universe, but it’s fun to think about anyways.
His name would be Stanley Zhau. His black hair would be cut right below his ears and curl up at the ends. He wears a white longer-sleeved sweater with a red star on the front, with red sleeve edges, black skinny jeans, white ankle-high socks, and green sneakers.
Stanley is the new kid at school. He’s kind, cool, and very outgoing and friendly. When he meets Linka and her friends, he’s interested in getting to know them and be friends with them. He likes carrot sticks, laser tag, and video games, and doesn’t like magic and being misinterpreted.
As a result of his friendliness, Linka’s friends believe he’s trying to pick one of them to date and try to go for him. However, Linka herself doesn’t try anything and just wants to be friends with him, due to not wanting a boyfriend. And she believes her friends are being a little too friendly. Because her friends are too busy trying to impress Stanley, they end up ignoring Linka, which angers her. And the other girls get the short end of the stick when Stanley tells them he just wanted to be friends with them. But all of them end up making up in the end, and the girls invite Stanley into their group.

How would Racing Hearts be with Luke and boy Sam?
Have to say. I just watched this episode. And I really like it.
———-
~ First, this episode mainly deals with Luke’s and Sam’s differences. But a couple scenes and pieces of dialogue show Luke’s active intention of keeping the fact that Sam is a boy a secret.
~ So instead of a public town contest where his whole family is around, Luke and Sam would just be hanging out around the town, trying to have a good time.
~ And it’s not a date, either. They’re just hanging out as friends.
~ Luke thinks of it as a date to himself, though
~ With that out of the way, let’s get the scenario started XP_____
~ Loki pounds on the bathroom door, hounding Linka to hurry up. Linka pops up behind him from the stairs. Loki apologizes, but then asks who is actually hogging the bathroom.
~ The door opens, and Luke appears, wearing a towel over his head and a bathrobe. Loki asks if he’s primping, and Luke lets them know that he’s hanging out with Sam the whole day, admitting he wants to look good.
~ Linka pushes him into the bathroom excited while Loki follows them. Linka asks if this is his first date with Sam. Luke first corrects her, saying it’s not exactly a date. Loki slightly teases him, asking how spending his whole day with his Sam isn’t a date. Luke gulps and stutters that he wants to take it slow. Linka then asks if he’s nervous. Luke just says he’s stoked and that he and Sam are gonna be perfect for each other, and blushes. Linka squeals with glee and Loki gives him a congratulatory thumbs up. Linka orders him to tell her how it’s going when he can, followed by Loki promptly telling her not to push him. But Linka is too happy not to know! Loki tells Luke they’ll get out of his hair and pulls their sister out by her arm while she shouts at him to keep his promise. Luke is left with a raised brow.
~ In the later morning, Loki quickly drops Luke off at the park. After he quickly shoos Loki off so he doesn’t see Sam, Luke walks around before spotting his fluffy-haired friend sitting by the water fountain looking at his phone. The boys greet each other with smiles, Luke giving an awkward handshake. Sam mentions that he has a couple things planned, but offers to for whatever Luke has in mind first. This makes Luke grin wide like an idiot, slightly gripping his shirt.
~ Luke takes him to Lazer Maze for a game of laser tag, where there happens to be a contest, exciting the wild Luke. He cruises through the game easily… but Sam accidentally zaps Luke himself, causing them to lose. Sam apologizes, saying laser tag isn’t really his thing, which Luke accepts. He tries to cheer Sam up by telling him to lead.
~ After Luke tells him about it, Sam takes him to Lacy’s family farm, showing him how much he loves farms. He shows off his skills of communicating with the chickens and calls them cute. But after chickens crowd around Luke, Luke gets scared of their eyes and grabs onto Sam’s arm, shocking and confusing the boy. Luke quickly lets go of him after realizing what he’s doing, causing him to step on a chicken’s foot, which makes all the chickens go crazy and peck at all them. After a few minutes, the two leave with peck marks all over them and a couple tears in their clothes (there goes Luke’s primping). Luke apologizes to Sam, admitting that farms aren’t really his thing. Sam understands and lets Luke lead them to their next activity.
~ Luke then tries to take him to a dance hall and nails the dancing, but Sam, who isn’t much of a dancer, ends up knocking Luke and other people over. Guess Luke has to deal with Sam not dancing at concerts.
~ Sam takes him to a rock climbing place. Sam climbs the rocks flawlessly, but Luke is left dangling in the air, and tells him rock climbing isn’t his thing. Sam, clearly not surprised, climbs down.
~ The entire time, Luke is slightly sweating, but also gripping his shirt harder and harder as the day goes on. He even stutters a couple times. Sam raises a brow at the shirt gripping a bit, but lets it go. And he doesn’t get why Luke is stressing out.
~ While Sam goes to the bathroom in the rock climbing place, Luke is sitting on a bench next to the restrooms, sadly resting his chin in his hands. He then takes his phone out and calls Linka.
~ His sister, who’s in the middle of a racing video game with Loki, picks up and asks how Luke’s day with Sam is going. Very excitedly.
~ Luke lets her know things aren’t goin’ good, as he expected him and Sam to have everything in common, but they’ve got nada. Linka thinks for a couple seconds, knowing this isn’t in her fortitude of advice, and asks Loki if he has something for Luke. Loki grabs her phone while trailing in front of Linka’s car in the game.
~ After Luke explains the problem, Loki tells him not to panic, and lets him know the same thing happened to Bebe and him. He suggests that Luke tries to embrace the things Sam likes so he can better understand “her”. Luke takes the advice, going with the incorrect pronoun, and asks him to pick him up at the mall at the end of the day.
~ Loki tells him he will and hands the phone back to Linka. Linka wishes Luke luck… as she rams Loki off the cliff in the game, making her mock Loki in victory and Loki retaliates. Luke hangs up with a blank expression before he can listen to the inevitable heavy competition.
~ Sam takes him to the organic juice bar, as Luke feigns interest in organic juices. The two of them try out a new mystery juice. While Sam happily thinks of the ingredients, Luke pretends to like it, but ends up spitting his drink all over Sam. And Luke blushes up a storm.
~ After Sam cleans up, Luke walks with him to the mall and takes him to the go-kart track inside, which Sam looks forward to. Sam ends up driving in a busted cart and Luke crashes into him, causing Sam to get his head smacked against the wall.
~ A few minutes later, Luke and Sam are sitting on a bench in the mall near the go-karting track, Sam holding an ice pack on his forehead.
~ Luke apologizes for getting him hurt. Sam accepts his apology, but asks why he lied about liking the juices. Luke admits he wanted them to have something they both like. Sam states that while he’s still having fun with him, it’s true they don’t have anything in common. Luke silently dies inside and grips his shirt tight.
~ Sam asks him about the shirt gripping, which Luke dismisses as a weird habit. And Sam notices how stressed and upset Luke looks. Concerned, he asks Luke if they should leave. Before Luke could nod his head while holding a tear in, they hear faint rock n’ roll music coming from somewhere near.
~ The boys start tapping their feet and nodding their heads to the beat. And Luke realizes he forgot that he and Sam both love music.
~ The two get up and follow the music. They end up in a small section of the mall where they find a rock band is playing on a stage with a crowd enjoying the music. Luke sees Sam getting into the tunes and they end up headbanging together and having a good time.
~ As they jam, the amps blow Sam’s hair back. Luke can’t hold in his laughter as he keeps enjoying the music, making Sam smirk. The final set then plays through the amps so loud, the two boys are knocked to the ground. The two look at each other and smile.
~ Sam stands up and holds a hand out to Luke. After Sam pulls him up, Luke nervously tells Sam that while they don’t have much in common, he wants to learn more about Sam. Sam smiles, letting Luke know he was having fun with him, despite their different hobbies. And that he only offered to leave because Luke looked like he was gonna puke, making Luke’s cheeks turn red.
~ But Sam complies with a smile and says he wants to keep spending time with him, too. And that he promises not to hit Luke with lasers next time. And Luke promises to not spit juice all over him.
~ And they give each other a bromance hug.
~ Luke ends up hugging him a little too long, so Sam pulls away first and raises a brow at him.
~ Luke hears his phone and sees a text from Loki, telling him he’s almost at the mall.
~ Sam walks with him to the mall entrance and offers to hang with Luke until his brother arrives. But Luke politely turns him down and lets him off the hook. Sam says “later” and heads out, just before Loki pulls up in the van.
~ Luke climbs into the passenger’s seat, spots Linka in the back seat and greets her. Linka sees Luke’s glowing expression and excitedly guesses he had a good day with Sam. Luke confirms, the two of them quietly squealing with joy.
~ When Loki stops at a stoplight, Luke looks out the window and sees Sam at the end of the sidewalk, waiting to cross. After making sure Loki and Linka aren’t paying attention, Luke rolls down the window and looks at Sam.
~ Sam looks up and spots him, too. And they smile at each other.

What are heather and hannah like?
Thanks for asking!
Edit: Updated!
Hannah McBride:
Hannah is Claudia’s more overly dramatic mother. She is also more cautious and high-strung than her wife.
And she is very prepared; she has all of Claudia’s needs memorized (an inhaler, allergy medications, earplugs, humidifier, ect).
She gets overly emotional while watching Claudia grow up and gets overwhelmed with Linka’s family. Heather frequently has to get her to relax. When she gets overwhelmed, she tends to faint.
She’s also very overprotective of Claudia, frequently worrying about her safety. She definitely doesn’t like boys talking to her, either.
Claudia gets her love for fashion and romance from Hannah. Hannah knows how to sew and make outfits (she always carries a spool of thread and a needle in her pocket). And she likes watching romantic-comedies with her daughter. She also can play the saxophone.
She is a dog lover, just like her daughter.
She also likes movies, restaurants, and coffee shops.
Hannah is dearly in love with her wife, Heather. They are shown to enjoy the same hobbies and enjoy each others’ company, rarely seen without each other. She calls her “Flower” and numerous other pet names and looks to her when she needs help. But she also tends to be the one to calm Heather down when she’s too energetic or sassy. She also comforts her family whenever they’re upset or angry.
Overall: overly dramatic, cautious, high-strung, prepared, emotional, overprotective, cute, lovable, girly woman, dog lover, loves her wife and daughter
Heather McBride:
Heather is Claudia’s more level-headed and mellow mother. She still is protective, but is more collected and calm with her protection.
Heather is a tough, strong woman. She is always ready to smack anyone that tries to hurt her girls. And she’s pretty sassy, too. But sometimes, she might go a bit overboard. Claudia gets her confident and prideful aura from Heather.
And she’s pretty cool, too. She likes hanging out with Claudia and her best friend, and gets along with her friends. And Claudia’s friends do think she’s a bit cool.
She often thinks her comments are jokes and believes she’s very funny. Which can be a bit embarrassing for Claudia and Hannah.
She is the chef of the family and normally in charge of serving dinner in the McBride house. And she’s a hell of a chef, too. She loves cooking Claudia her favorite snack, Swiss chard frittata. And she loves making treats for Claudia and her friends.
She used to play softball when she was in high school and college. She is still able to play, but is not as athletic as she used to be.
She owns a variety of dresses and blouses in different colors, one blouse being holiday themed.
Heather is super in love with her wife, Hannah. They are shown to enjoy the same hobbies and enjoy each others’ company, rarely being seen without each other. She often has to calm Hannah down when she gets too emotional or protective of their daughter. Heathers calls her her “Hannah Panda.”
And of course, she’s really close with her daughter. She calls her “honey” and is proud of her confidence and achievements. Claudia is shown to be a good softball batter, and it’s implied Heather taught her.
Overall: level-headed, mellow, protective, tough, sassy, cool, unfunny, good chef, likes softball, loves her wife and daughter

I think Zendaya or Avril Lavigne could voice Linka Loud what do you think ?
Ooo I didn’t think about Zendaya. Yeah, she’d be good, too! She can pull off a sweet, child-like enough voice that could also fit Linka. And the fact she can sing would work well, too, since Linka has a good singing voice. Though, to be perfectly honest, I wasn’t a fan of her role in Shake It Up -_-
Avril Lavigne is actually a great choice, I didn’t think of her. I’m not as familiar with her work as I am Zendaya, but she was good in Over the Hedge. And her being a good singer works, too. She has more maturity in her voice that still has the child-like aesthetic and loving emotion in it. She’d actually be almost perfect for the role XD
Another great choice would by Elsie Fisher from Eighth Grade and Despicable Me! I enjoyed her role in Eighth Grade and she’s a good actress. And she still has a good child-like aesthetic.
So yeah. Elsie Fisher, Avril Lavigne and Catherine Cavadini would be my first three choices.
