At least the citizens of Village Bridge were treated to what was probably an entertaining sight; a flustered ex-champion chasing a Sinnohan ace trainer. He was just glad that nobody seemed to hear Lucas' initial quip about him taking three years to propose to Rosa.

Because as much as he liked the idea of marrying Rosa, just how soon was too soon??

"Uh. Y'mind if I take a shower real quick, love? Lucas really caught me off-guard; with all the fluff he wears, he's a lot faster than a guy would think." That, and he needs some time to process what happened.

"Sure thing!" Honestly, Rosa could have asked if he wanted to have a snowball fight and he would agree. With such a chipper look on her face, how could Hilbert be expected to refuse? "Lead the way!"

Hilbert finds a box wrapped in pokeball print wrapping paper. Inside he'll find deck of cards themed on maractus and a blue scarf.

"Sweet!" He is absolutely taking the deck of Maractus cards everywhere he goes now. That is going to have a permanent place in his jacket pocket and there is not a single thing anyone can do about it.

Carmen is clearly getting a kick out of it as well! She may not know who sent it, but that's okay! She can just get Hilbert to thank them.

Hilbert wasn't sure when it started, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being followed. He could only hope that it was just a bit of paranoia, because he couldn't see anyone following him. He would be lying if he said that didn't spook him.

Maybe it was time he and Carmen got to somewhere a little warmer.

After they were finally done with caroling, Hilbert and Carmen continued the search. After a few moments, Carmen stopped and squinted.

"Hey...does that one look different to you?" she questioned, pointing at one of the Pidoves.

"Hm?" Hilbert followed her gaze and squinted. It did seem different from the others, but... "Not in the way we'd like, I think. That one's just missing a lightbulb. Our search continues."

"Awwww..." Because as much fun as Carmen was having, the cold was starting to bother her a bit.
