Karen Page is a nasty racist gun-loving libertarian that does not deserve to come back in the new Disney+ Daredevil show.

Karen Page is an inconsistently written mediocre character that has been put as a priority of a show with problematic racist undertones. She is a poster child of white girlboss feminism that people eat up as "empowerment". Ignoring the fact that the show had Ben Urich, a black man, killed off, undermined Elektra in S2 and propped her up as the "evil lady" to juxtapose Karen as a "good angel"- of course it's the POC woman that gets the short end of the stick. Whether you like Elektra or not, she's a victim of the evil lady temptress trope all because the writers had to contrast that to them propping up Karen as this goody goody woman. She holds black teens at gunpoint and we're supposed to cheer that on? She lobbies against gun control and we're supposed to go "what a girlboss 😍"

While we're at it, Deborah Ann Woll is an utterly mediocre actor which is the quite frankly the reason she's been chronically unemployed ever since the Daredevil show ended. Zero nuance to her acting ability- just deploying teary eyes, snot, and heavy breathing in every scene. That's even less ability than theater kids I've seen act, and that's embarassing.

"Frank and Karen stole the show in S2" nah you're just a horny bitch who thought this because you saw karen and frank make fuck eyes with each other and you're so obsessed and consumed with shipping that you think they stole the show. I don't understand why some people hate Karen Page so much.

Yes, she oftentimes finds herself in danger and in need of rescuing. Why? Because she's asking the right questions to the right people.

Heroes aren't always in capes, going around punching people, or causing mass amounts of destruction. Sometimes they're wearing pencil skirts and high heels, and are asking the right questions.

But you know what? Karen doesn't back down. She's asks what needs to be asked to get to the truth, even if that means going head-to-head with monsters like Fisk.

And, for the record, she never asks Frank and Matt to save her. They just do because she's important to them.

And let's not forget that she does have a habit of rescuing Frank...a lot.

No Marvel TV character comeback will ever be as big and hype as Charlie/Matt Murdock's comeback. When news of his NWH cameo first broke, it was an EVENT on Twitter. Pretty much broke the Internet. Still one of the best days on there, people were fully freaking out 😂 Not to mention how much Charlie/Matt trended leading to Spider-Man NWH release- he was trending once or twice every month, and when Feige officially announced Charlie's comeback himself, Charlie was trending at like 70k+ tweets. And the aftermath of NWH release was no different- Matt/Daredevil was trending in every social media platform, 3 weeks straight on Twitter, and the Daredevil show shot up straight to the Top 10 on Netflix after Matt's cameo.

Matthew Murdock is simply on a whole different level 😌

Saw a post with a similar sentiment so I'm going to echo it: Karen Page should only be allowed in the new Disney+ Daredevil show if Frank and Karen shippers promise to be non-toxic and not send any hate, especially to Charlie Cox like they did back in 2016-2018.

I was on this app for the time the Marvel Netflix shows were airing and I can attest to how toxic shipping discussions got on here. I distinctly remember one narrative that was being pushed back then- when Charlie said in an interview that he liked Karen and Matt together (boy oh boy if you weren't on here or on Twitter you wouldn't know the hate he received for saying that), and said that he believed Matt should be able to pull his life together before getting a chance to get back together with Karen, some Frank and Karen shippers twisted the narrative as "Charlie being a toxic male and saying how he wants Matt to treat Karen as a prize for getting his life together". Matt was also getting purposely mischaracterized and slandered because they wanted to prop up the Frank x Karen ship.

I don't really care who you ship with, which character you don't like- but it's wise to remember that these are works of fiction. Fictional characters and stories. Therefore not something you should send hate to an actor over.

I'm tagging this in that ship's tag to send a message. This is just a harmless reminder that that kind of behavior will not be tolerated this time around.

I'm just dreading the thought of the Disney+ Daredevil show airing and then they have Karen on there and once she is within a 3 ft radius of Matt, Frank and Karen shippers will flood the matt murdock tag with hate.

Also I want to ask: Who here was on Tumblr and part of the Marvel Netflix fandom during those years and who can attest to seeing hate towards Matt/Charlie because of shipping reasons? Just so someone can vet my post because I'm afraid some people will say I'm making this all up. Unless you're one of those people sending the hate, then read this message and SCRAM.

Matt Murdock stannies are the best because you loving that man conveys so many good things about you. That you're both empathic and sympathetic towards someone struggling with mental health issues and childhood trauma. That you understand and even relate to Catholic guilt, or just guilt in general when it comes to feeling like you aren't doing enough, or that you yourself is not enough. Loving Matt Murdock means you are an extremely patient person capable of extending grace to people who are troubled, but most importantly of all- that you passed English classes in grade school because you're aware of what "character arcs" are in works of fiction in media or literature and understand that Matt's behavior in S2 is part of his 3 season-spanning character development and that you were listening when your English teacher was teaching you about round characters (characters that are deeply layered and undergo developments and changes) which Matt is a great example of. Thus as a result you don't go on Tumblr and whine about how Matt is being a bad friend and asking if he gets better as a friend without even having finished the show.

All that's to say, Matt Murdock stans are smart, sympathetic, and patient. So if you love him, be proud because you are likely all those things! 😊
