okay but post canon klance who've been so incandescently bonded and work perfectly together like a well oiled machine flying around space and rebuilding civilizations harmed by the galra constantly being mistaken for a couple because of their obvious warmth and closeness.
they arrive at galas together looking like they've just been married every single time and lance for the life of him just can't understand all these little comments and assumptions from others about what they must be, till one day he cracks and just gently confronts keith.
he's like "so...you're not at all bothered by this we're a couple thing? like what would make them assume that in the first place?" all adorably flustered and confused. but keith is so done holding onto his romantic affection for this boy and figure's now's as good a time as any.
he's like "well...it's probably cuz they can tell how in love with you i am," in a lowered tone, voice speaking the words oh so gently, giving lance the most meaningful and intense, affection filled look then promptly crossing the room to go get a drink. lance is flabbergasted.
