At the risk of people getting the wrong idea, I can't get over these hands

Just look at how much Genos's hands have changed between when we first see him in chapter 5 and now.

The first set looks more like an amateur garage project. Look at it: no armour, the internals visible, open joints on the fingers, permanently open hole in the palm, minimal affordances for the fingers -- they can bend and straighten but not a lot more, and what seems to be a glorified flame thrower.

And now, just look at the difference. Completely armored, joints closed, minimizing both pinch points and places where fluids can ingress, palm port opened and closed with an iris mechanism, fingers have additional jointing at their bases allowing them to swivel and thumb has additional segment to compensate for the stiffness of the palm. And of course, what spews out is pure murder rays.

I could grumble about not having exactly the same view, but well done Murata for improving your dramatic poses!

Personally I would prefer the manga stick (commit) to its own thing that's separate/different from the webcomic's script, but even so....I think most readers can sense that...severe dramatic irony--that Genos is very much an unreliable narrator whose beliefs about himself are at flux and greatly contradict with how much the audience actually knows. And as for where ONE takes that growing conflict, we all hold our suspicions~

I get your point of view and you're probably right! and I would prefer as well that the manga sticks to it's own thing because it's weird, at least for me, that he thinks he is nothing to Saitama like the fact that he saw him fighting in rage because of his death never happened :/ it's a little confussing.

I thought Murata was going to chance some dialogues and stuff but it looks like they decided to keep it like the webcomic! MAYBE when Geno's core gets in the picture again it will get mention again?
