What is Mabon?
Mabon (pronounced mah-bon) is a pagan holiday marking the autumn equinox. This day, which typically falls on or around the 21st/22nd, is the first day of fall! This is the second harvest festival of three on the Wheel of the Year. On this day, as well as the Spring Equinox, the length of day and night is equal. In Greek mythology, the Fall Equinox is also the day Persephone begins her descent into the Underworld. Similarly, in Celtic mythology, Mabon was abducted three days after his birth and was imprisoned inside of a stone wall, only to be released later. Lammas/Lughnasadh
What is Lammas/Lughnasadh?
Lammas/Lughnasadh is one of the eight Pagan holidays, which is directly between the summer solstice and autumn equinox. It is the first of three harvest festivals. Depending on where you live, it is typically the time to harvest wheat, fruits, and veggies. Lammas/Lughnasadh is celebrated on August 1st. It is a time of celebration and indulgence. It’s a day where you feast, play, and laugh without considering the future
History
Lammas comes from “loaf mass”. In early Ireland, you would not harvest your grains before the 1st of August, because doing so would mean your last harvest failed to keep you fed for long enough. They would harvest their grains on August 1st, and by the time night came, the first loaf of the season has been made. Lughnasadh is the day for honouring the Celtic god, Lugh. He is the craftsman god of many skills. It also acknowledges the sacrifice of the Oak King to feed the earth, and the beginning of the reign of the Holly King

What is Beltane?
Beltane, May 1st is the beginning of the “light half” on the wheel of the year. Like many sabbats on the wheel of the year, Beltane is Celtic in origin. Etymologically, “bel” means “to flash, shine, or burn”, while “tane” means “fire”. It is also thought that Bel was a Celtic sun god. Regardless, Beltane is viewed primarily as a fertility festival. Traditionally, bonfires are held on this day. May Day is also the time where faeries ride out into the mortal world. Faeries are very powerful during this time, so it is considered unsafe to sit in circles of yellow and white flowers, as well as sleep out in the open air on May Day (May 1st) and May Eve (April 30th)

Bees
As Spring brings life back to Earth, one of my favourite creatures comes back- bees! Bees are present in folklore and mythology in many different cultures. Not to mention that bees are vital to our existence and humans, and all life on Earth really. Needless to say, bees are highly respected and highly important
Folklore and Mythology
“Telling the Bees”, a tradition where beekeepers/people tell bees about major events. If the beekeeper dies, the family has to tell the bees, or else they might leave or die of grief. Some cover the hive in a black cloth during mourning. Invite bees to weddings, and leave them some cake
The Celts believed bees are intermediaries between this world and the Otherworld. Bees can carry messages to the dead. They’re also thought to carry wisdom and be closely related to the Fae
Ancient Greeks and Romans believed that bees are servants and messengers of the gods
The story of Jupiter and the Bess exists in Roman mythology. The bee gave Jupiter a gift of honey and asked for a stinger to protect it’s precious honey. They agreed, although Juno suggested a payment for using it- their life
In Greek mythology, bees are associated with life and death. Greeks believed openings to rock faces and caves were entrances to the Underworld. Cerberus could be distracted by honey cakes. Some believed humans could reincarnate into bees
Greeks believed that if a bee touches a baby’s lips, they would grow up to be a great poet
In Ancient Egypt, it was believed that bees were created from the tears of Ra hitting the sand in the desert
Bees were seen as royalty in Ancient Egypt. Honey played an important role in guiding people in the afterlife, and was often left as gifts for the dead. Honey, beeswax, and other hive products were often placed inside tombs for the dead to eat on their journey to the afterlife. It was very common to use honey and beeswax to enbalm and seal sarcophogi. Ancient Egyptians believed the voices of souls sounded like the hum of bees
In Germanic folklore, you can take leave from your body by transforming into a bee
If a bee lands on your hand, money is on it’s way
If a bee lands on your head, you will be successful in life
If a bee flies into your home, it means good luck or a stranger is on their way. If you kill the bee, the stranger will bring bad news
Bees buzzing around a child’s head foretells a happy, successful life
Seeing a single bee will bring luck
It is unlucky to kill a bee
Brides-to-be would walk their betrothed past a hive. If he was stung, he would be unfaithful and the marriage would fail
Never buy bees with normal money. Use gold coins if you must, but ideally you would barter over them or receive them as a gift, so as to not offend them
Bee swarms are seen as a bad omen
If the bees stay close to the hive, a storm is on it’s way

Uses in Witchcraft

Beeswax can be used in sympathetic magic by making a figure out of beeswax and use it as you would with clay or a poppet
Due to its stickiness, it can be used in binding spells
Offerings to the Fae and deities
Divination using Beeswax

How to know male herb and female herb
hi! if youre referencing the energies herbs have, there isnt really a way to just know. a lot of it comes from either memory or common sense. for example, chamomile is associated with the Sun, and therefore has masculine energy. you can find lists online and in books (click here for a list of masculine herbs and here for a list of feminine herbs I made). you can find a lot of useful online resources, and you can pretty much always find the answer by search "does [herb] have masculine or feminine energy?". if youre looking for books, there is the classic Cunninham's Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs, or my personal favourite, The Master Book of Herbs. overall, you can learn which herbs have masculine or feminine energy through memorization, or through figuring out what they are associated with, and then coming to a conclusion. I hope this helps, and feel free to come to me with more questions in the future!

Tips for Reading Tarot
Reading tarot by just looking at the cards associated meaning is a perfectly great way of doing readings, but there are a few ways you can add a bit more meaning to your cards. Most of these require recognizing patterns among the cards, as well as looking at the imagery in the cards. This gives you a bit more meaning, while still providing a bit more leniency, since you now have a wider variety of possible answers
Suits
Pay attention to the suits of the cards pulled- each has their own significance. The easiest way to remember it is that each suit is associated with an element: pentacles- earth, chalices- water, swords- air, wands- fire. Pentacles usually deal with wealth and stability. Chalices usually deal with emotions and relationships. Swords usually deal with communication and ideas. Swords usually deal with passion and creativity. Pentacles and chalices have more feminine energy, while swords and wands have more masculine energy. You can also associate the suits to zodiac signs in their element (Earth- Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn. Water- Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces. Air- Gemini, Libra, Aquarius. Fire- Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)
Numerology
Numbers have their individual meanings. Pay attention to any repeating numbers, multiples of numbers (ex. 3, 6, 9- multiples of 3), and any other patterns the numbers make. Are the numbers growing? Decreasing? Numbers have their own meanings, and can provide useful insight. For example, 1 can mean new beginnings, 2 can mean relationships, et cetera. Over time, you might notice other patterns and assign your own meanings to numbers, or become more attached to one meaning over another. For example, in personal or relationship readings, I personally associate 3 with platonic feelings
Colours
Like numbers, colours also have their own meanings. Pay attention to the colours in your cards. Of course, this works better with larger spreads, but it still applies when using one card. In larger spreads, ask yourself; Are there any colours that are showing up a lot? Is the colour scheme getting lighter or darker? Once you notice something, ask yourself how that message correlates with your question
Imagery
Imagery is one of the most important, if not the most important, tool used to convey messages in tarot cards. Look at the people and objects in the cards. How does the person interact with their surroundings? How are they acting toward other people? How is the person feeling? What objects stand out to you? These are just a few of the many questions you can ask yourself. The most important things to pay attention to are how people and objects interact with each other and the symbolism of objects and animals in the scene

Hey i am sp pisces. Could you please help me figure out through what/how i could make money on my own rn? Thank you sm 💗
first thing you have to do is examine your expectations. what expectations do you have that arent realistic? what fears are holding you back? how are you being unfair to yourself? how are others being unfair to you? its most important to let go of your ego and inner judgement. once you do that, reevaluate your options and i believe something will be ready for you. i believe in you

im doing great, thanks for asking. as for your question, i see good things. the first card indicates that now is the time to reap the benefits of the work youve put in. the second card indicates uncovering truth, and the third card indicates new beginnings. altogether, i think it is safe to say there is a connection and now is the time to make a move. good luck!
