Steven will hold your hands while you vent; he rarely ever says anything to interrupt it (but he listens very closely).

Oh and yes, he is a great listener. Have I told you that?

I feel like when you're with Steven, time doesn't exist; you don't feel the weight of fearing you're being a burden or "what if he has more important things to do?"

Steven is so wise and thoughtful when it comes to comforting someone. I'm saying this with my whole chest: He doesn't just comfort you; he heals you.

I got sick, and my brain said it's time to get sad about Steven Grant (so that's exactly what I'm doing)

Do you know why I cried? I cried because I asked myself, "Has Steven ever cried from anything?"

Did he ever cry because he got home and the house was empty and filled with darkness?

Did he ever cry because he wondered why his mom never spoke a word to him?

Did he ever cry because of how hard the job at the museum is?

Did he ever cry because he couldn't even enjoy a good night's sleep like a normal person?

Did he cry himself to sleep on days that were just a little too much for him?

I don't know which situation would be more heartbreaking: if he cried over everything or if he never shed a tear.

A/n: I finally finish this! Thank you for sending in a rq @shadowynutsuit, and no hate to the Namor fandom, but are you guys okay? This is the fourth fic I've written that has dialogue #9

Dialogue prompts:

5. "You will be safe here, with me...I'm devoting my heart to you".

9. "Open your eyes, my love, my moon. I'm begging you...please. The war is over; we won... but without you, it doesn't matter to me anymore."

"You're sad again" Namor said when he saw Y/n's face, his hand cupping her soft cheeks, slowly turning her face so that their eyes met. "Have you been crying?" The phrase that left his lips almost sounded like a whisper.

Although Namor is glad Y/n has trusted him more, it hurts him to see that when she comes to him, it's when she's seeking comfort. The world has always been so cruel to the princess; it's not fair at all.

"I just...I hate it here! Not having beauty is like the death sentence for a mermaid. Do you understand Namor? DO YOU?!" Y/n screams at the man in front of her; she doesn't care anymore; he will leave her sooner or later. That's what people do to her; they come and go, and some never come back.

The question was always "when will they leave" and never "how long will they stay" for Y/n. The mermaid princess has long understood how cold and empty the ocean could get until Namor showed her his kingdom and the sun he has there.

"You can hit me all you want; you can scream at me all you want; just let me be with you." The king said this, taking Y/n's hand and placing it on his chest. "Can you feel my heartbeat? It beats for you."

The woman is too stunned to speak; never in a million years would she think that the king of Talokan is wrapped around her finger willingly. Y/n tries to open her mouth to protest, but no words come out,the king then wastes no time in continuing to express his love.

"Y/n...My pearl... Do you know why I called you that? Because pearls are imperfect, yet they stand out on their own and shine brightly." Namor knows he has captured the heart of the mermaid princess right after saying that. People can say he is flirty all they want, but for Y/n, only the truth

"I- ... Please let me have some time to think about it." Y/n's answer makes Namor's heart skip a beat; he doubts she wouldn't feel it; her hand isn't on his chest anymore. More importantly, their hands aren't intertwined, and there is nothing Namor can do but watch the mermaid swim away, waiting for her answer.

How little did the king know that the war was one step ahead of him, taking Y/n away.

"HEAL HER" Namor's voice can be heard even from a thousand miles; there is even a hint of despair in his voice. "DO SOMETHING"

"My king, we are trying to do everything" A group of Talokanil speaks up; they're knealing on the floor, trying to keep the blood from flowing out of Y/n's injured wounds. "It's too risky; she is a mermaid, and we don't know if the technology we have is suitable!"

A long moment of silence felt like enternity for Namor; he knows what they're saying is right; he was foolish. In a moment of distress, seeing Y/n in pain, he brought her to Talokan and not her kingdom. It's too late to ever bring her there now; even with his superspeed, every movement would result in Y/n crying out of pain.

Namor demands all the Talokanil leave for a suitable potion; let him be here with Y/N. But it's only half the truth; he doesn't want to let them see how weak he could get.

"Open your eyes, my love, my moon. I'm begging you...please. The war is over; we won... but without you, it doesn't matter to me anymore."

Namor waited for an answer; he waited, and he vowed to forever wait for one.

He doesn't notice you frowning at first.

I think Steven would go up and join you, looking in the mirror together.

Maybe he thinks you're admiring your outfit and he wants to join too (can this man get any cuter? 🥺🥺)

"Our pants kind of match! That's awesome" Steven smiles while looking at your face for a reaction.

And that's when he sees you frowning.

Still think about the pants. "No- no? Yeah, maybe they aren't the same color."

You tell him how you feel insecure about your body whenever you look in the mirror.

Great way to shatter his heart entirely.

"Noooo, no, you can't feel like that love; you're amazing! You're wonderful! Please don't be sad."

After that, you could feel much better and maybe forget about all this, but Steven doesn't.

He gets very serious whenever he sees you walking toward a mirror (or just if any mirror is in your way). He doesn't want you to get a flashback about that bad memory!

I think Steven definitely trips on himself at least once when trying to distract you from seeing a mirror.

Marc let out a small sigh when he saw your face; he doesn't want you to waste time being insecure about yourself. "C'here on the couch with me?" he asked.

Marc waits for you to come over and trap you in his big and strong arms (he won't let go any time soon).

"Well, isn't taking a nap on the couch much better than standing there? C'mon, baby, you look like you need some sleep."

Marc smiled and gave you a kiss to make all the bad thoughts go away too.

Can I please request a Newlyweds!Namor x fem!human!reader oneshot where he’s helping her adjust after taking the vibranium-infused herb? "Easy, slow and steady, my pearl." Namor smiled while holding Y/n's hand and guiding her to the cold water. "Are you sure you're ready? We can wait as long as you want."

"I think I'm ready." Y/n said while biting her lips, feeling how the water slowly rose up as she walked forward. This is the first time Namor has allowed her to be near the ocean ever since she took the vibranium-infused herb, which is such a long time ago.

While Y/n thinks Namor is overreacting, he assures her that it's for her own safety (and his too; Namor can't bring himself to see any water incident).

"Can we see Talokan now?" Y/n smiled while tilting her head, she can't wait to just dive down and see how marvelous the kingdom is, now that Y/n can breethe under water, what can possibily stop her?

"What? Not yet, Y/n; you need to learn all kinds of things first! Like defending yourself, or learning Mayan, or even swimming—do you know how to swim yet?" The king chuckled; he is sure the only reason his sweet little pearl can still talk his ears off is because he is holding her waist. Namor's finger digs harder into Y/n's skin, like a reminder she still needs to depend on him.

"I- I mean we can learn them, you can teach me everything, we have all the time in the world"

A smart answer from Y/n to ignored Namor's direct question. The cold water now submerged her chest, but somehow it still can't stop the heat rushing onto her face. Life with Namor still seems new and unfamiliar to Y/n, but it is oh so exciting and lovely.

"K'ilkabech? (Are you hot?)" Namor asks, his voice full of teasing hints. The king just wants to kiss his beautiful queen's face, but she keeps hiding it!

"Namor, you know I didn't understand when you said anything in Mayan." Y/N scolded before spalshing water at her husband playfully. The action made Namor let go of Y/n instantly due to surprise. The woman wasted no time taking the opportunity and diving down to the blue ocean, letting it control her body.

Namor follows right behind Y/n; he knows she is able to breathe under water now thanks to the herb. Something that sounds dangerous to humans now turns into a game of cat and mouse.

"Gotcha, not so quick now, little pearl." Namor thought and quickly catching up, hugging Y/n from behind, peppering kisses all over her face before swimming upward so that she couldn't escape another time.

"Don't think this is over; you still need to learn Mayan, my dear."

Y/n puffs up her cheek cutely like a pufferfish after Namor's comment. "I know how to speak Mayan"

"Say something to me then?"

[sniper!fem!reader x villain!Namor]

"Target locked, waiting for the command to shoot. Over" Y/n shifted the riffle a bit to make herself lie down more comfortably, every cell in her body screaming, saying "MOVE! MOVE!". 

But Y/n ignored them all, not now, not when she can see so clearly that little head moving , just right in the middle of the cross, the origin of her pain—no, more like the world's pain.

"Are you sure you got him? Over" Y/n's leader spoke into the earpiece, making her goarn in frustration; how could he doubt her like that? Sure he is her leader, but a leader to the only female in the best sniper group. Y/n sure if she were a man, she would get ordered to pull the trigger now.

"With all due respect, sir, I think you're making this thing longer than it should be. Over" 

"Namor is a dangerous individual; we need to calculate his every move. Now, I'm asking you again, are you sure you got him? Over" The voice slowly died down, leaving a buzzing noise in Y/n's earpiece.

She still has her eyes glued to the rifle scope. It's scary how when it comes to work, Y/n turn into this dangerous woman, "Positive. Over."

"On my command. Over"

Y/n waits for the tiniest noise from the earpiece, her finger itching to pull the trigger. She can feel the sweat forming now, making her hair stick to the back of her neck. Suddenly, a group of blue people swarmed in, pushing Namor aside in chaos.

Too shocked by the incident, Y/n looks away from the rifle scope to see what has happened.

"Damn it! You should tell me to shoot earlier; we might lose him now" She grunted into the earpiece, looking back into the rifle scope and aiming in different direction, hoping to see the guy she so desperately wanted to kill. But instead of a hundred faces, she is met with only one, inching too close for her liking.

"What do we have here? A little mouse spying?"

THE MOON BOYS REACTING TO Y/N GETTING INTO A CAR ACCIDENT

Warning: mention of hospital and injuries

A/n: Please don't read if this triggers any bad memories of yours; I wrote this to comfort myself. Thank you and have a good day ^^

🍓 Steven Grant 🍓

Marc probably hid this news from Steven because he thought you would get better quickly, and therefore he could save Steven from a mental breakdown.

But Steven can sense something is wrong: how you rarely show up, how Marc looks away when your name is mentioned, how you never answer your phone.

At first, he thought you didn't want to be friends anymore and he was so sad.

Any talk with Marc about "Y/n" got shut down quickly and just left a bitter taste in his mouth.

Until one day he took over Marc's body and realized he was standing in a hospital, the  distinct odor made him feel nauseous.

"Excuse me? Mr.Spector? Usual visiting time today, right? You can go in now; they're waiting" A nurse came up and spoke to Steven; it seemed like she knew Marc.

Steven was so confused, he was about to leave and go back home. "I'm sorry, who is waiting for me?".

The nurse shot him a questioning look and blinks a few times. "The...doctor and Y/n Y/l/n? In room number 1? I'm sorry. Have I mistook you with someone?".

Steven can't believe his ears, his legs turn into jelly, and he falls back down on the hard floor. His mind gets swarmed with so many emotions.

He had to hold himself back, chocking from a sob that was coming.

You were in an accident, a car accident, all this time, and Marc had the audacity to hide it from HIM.

"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry...Oh no...Oh..." Steven can barely contain himself when he sees you in the hospital bed; he is scared to even touch you.

Overall, when it comes to Steven, a lot of tears will be involved, even when he tries his best not to cry.

A call from your phone number is all it takes.

He picked it up as usual, but instead of your voice, it was a person saying "Sir, are you Marc? You are listed as an emergency contact An accident happened; I need you to go to—".

Marc ends the call so quickly and fumbles with his jacket, his hands shaking from what he just heard.

Oh dear, he is frantic and wants to be near you all the time.

Will have at least one fight with the nurse or the doctor because he just refused to leave you alone.

"SIR, THE PATIENT NEEDS REST" - "I WILL BE QUIET".

And as I said before, he will hide everything from Steven; it's not on purpose; Marc just wants to help you get better as soon as possible, before Steven can notice.

(That backfired quickly)

Marc never told anyone, but he has slept in the hospital hallway, on the bench, on a chair, anywhere he can.

He couldn't miss the doctor's update about your situation.

One step away from committing a crime.

Arguing with the nurse and doctor in Spanish.

But never with you.

Never.

Jake doesn't treat you any differently than before.

It is still the same lovesick look.

He would hold and kiss your hands whenever he got the chance.

Jake will talk a lot too, engaging in conversation—anything to keep your little head forgetting about the pain.

While Steven is too scared to say anything and Marc is worried about your health, Jake is there to comfort you.

Cry all you want, but cry in his arms, please.

How cruel do you have to be to keep a man from touching you?
