Astro Notes Part XII

Aquarius can manufacture or feign feelings a lot, especially if they are Capricorn-dominant/have strong Capricorn influence. Sometimes they don’t want to hurt people who they know expect a lot from them even though they can’t give them what they need or want, which is usually why they may pretend to care for as long as they can. Mars in Aquarius, Aries, Capricorn, Leo, and Sagittarius are very freaky and sexually adventurous. Virgo suns are not at all chaste or virginal, they’re some of the most sexual people you’ll ever meet, just not overtly or explicitly. Behind the sheets is a completely different story. Think “a lady in the streets and a freak in the bed.” Virgos are often unsocial. They think being humble is being self-deprecating. They knock themselves down a peg or several pegs long before anyone else does. They are their own worst, and harshest critics; they scrutinize and criticize and bemoan just about everything about themselves—they are never satisfied. They find it difficult to be proud of instead of hard on themselves.

Asking for help makes them feel weak or incompetent. They hate feeling that way. They feel they have to endure to be strong. They doubt their resiliency. They isolate themselves and push others away. They constantly diss their own abilities and downsize their accomplishments, as if they’re afraid owning them makes them look haughty or somehow their achievements will disappear if they claim them. They have a terrible inferiority complex, akin to Libras. It rivals them. They are deeply insecure on the inside. Their insecurities constantly trigger them and show up in their lives in different ways. Self-love is their greatest struggle. Self-hate their greatest obstacle. They hold themselves back for fear they can’t succeed. Some truly feel they won’t make it in life—not make it big, but survive at all. The mountain is too high to climb. A cloud of despondency and despair follows them everywhere they go. Grief and pain are active emotions within their psyche. They can’t forgive themselves for any mistakes. They beat themselves up & relive them over and over again. They don’t know how to relieve themselves from misery & downtrodden hope. They’ve got to be nicer to themselves, nurture & support themselves like they do others. They speak their fears, doubts and anxieties into existence more than they do their goals and dreams. They become self-fulfilling prophecies. They manifest all they don’t want. Like Libra, they are obsessed with working hard because they never feel good enough or internally valid; they feel lacking. There is always something to improve upon. They are prone to pessimism and spells of depression because of this. They have a hard time accepting praise, although they desire and crave it, some sort of acknowledgment of their constant service to others. They may be emotionally awkward or uncomfortable showing emotion, but inside, they are very sensitive creatures. They doubt themselves a lot—self-doubt and self-criticism are their greatest enemies—but they are some of the most competent and capable people you’ll ever meet. Proficient, unbelievable academic prowess and achievement, perfectionists. Their minds are often analogized to computers. They’re extremely self-disciplined. Unbelievably articulate, eloquent, well-spoken. Phenomenal writers, authors, poets, orators, artists, musicians. Yes, they are worry-warts—obsessive worriers—but they aren’t nagging. Like Libras, they want the best for people. Uptight at times. Temperamental/moody. Highly irritable. Distressed. Nervous. Deep, intense. Might strike a nerve. Likes to work alone; everything has to be done their way. Do group projects singlehandedly. Like Mars in aspect to Pluto or Sun, work better as their own bosses. Many dreams and ambitions; have trouble taking action to support their dreams with foundation/something solid & tangible. Secret idealism, their greatest weapon, like Pisces—big dreamers. Easily frustrated. Impatient. Furthest thing from boring, just intensely private, maybe even more than Scorpios; they only let people they really trust and like see their true personalities. Wholesome. Pure. Not very addicted to substances, in fact, usually completely abstinent in terms of alcohol or hard drugs. If addicted to anything, it is either food or cigarettes or some other type of smoking device—juul or vape. They’re more likely to abuse off-the-counter or prescription medication or misuse their purposes, like taking pills or drowsy, bottled, liquid medicine for sleep instead of allergies as they were meant to, before they ever try marijuana. Even if they do, they tend to prefer cigarettes or vaping to weed, bourbon or whiskey neat, or a glass of wine. If they do drink, it’s rarely a Vodka or martini and more along the lines of a Bloody Mary or something with nutritional value. They like to feel in control of themselves.

There is a stereotype within the astrological community that Virgos are a) extremely critical of others and b) obsessive-compulsive neat freaks, and I have found neither to be true. I’ve noticed that Virgo moons or mars or Venus are the ones who most often exemplify traits typically assigned to the Virgo sun archetype—they are stereotypically neat-freaks obsessed with cleanliness and order and hygiene who will plan their lives out years in advance and start & finish projects months before the deadline; also have issues reserving judgment of other people. Virgo suns are either messy-disorganized or complete slobs, even, dare I say, unhygienic. Will go days without showering or changing clothes besides pajamas and brushing their teeth—this does not make them “dirty,” or unclean, this is often due to serious/major clinical depression. This is not a condemnation or shaming of them. Often fear judging people aloud/vocalizing criticism—don’t want to seem rude. Often work right up to the deadline & procrastinate/wait to the last minute. Don’t think about their future, only worry about tomorrow and getting through another day. Hate planning. But like to feel prepared. Often think life is a cosmic joke. Suffer a lot in silence. Virgo suns also thrive off chaos and disorder instead of tidiness and structure. I’ve noticed Virgo suns have a hoarding problem—they are seriously hoarders. They can’t let things go. They are very possessive of their belongings, even if they no longer use it or need it. They buy a thousand items they don’t need or make extensive store purchases and shop relentlessly. Excessive couponing or clearance shopping. They vacillate between being frugal/cheap & saving/avoiding spending money or being a spendthrift like Capricorns, and buying everything compulsively like Taurus or not caring about prices/spending so long as they want/desire or like something, like Aries or Aquarius. Often operate through an internal state of lack or deficiency which they use other items to fill or mask. Very creative and melancholic character/disposition. Always seem sad or unhappy. Miserable or discontent. Like predictability. Hate uncertainty. Avoids taking risks. Very superstitious. Psychic/clairvoyant. Intense dreams. Into astrology & metaphysics, art, history & philosophy. Right-brained. Braniacs. Academically well-performing. Peers look up to them—exemplars and role models. Virgo moons, Mars, Venus & rising, like Virgo Sun and Libra placements, are very insecure, self-obsessed (not in a vain, self-absorbed or conceited way) people. Changing their bodies might be addictive to them. They can only learn not to be addicted to making superficial outside changes when they feel good about themselves on the inside. It takes them forever to get to this point. Again, no judgment of people who alter their bodies or get plastic surgery. Everyone deserves to feel happy. They place tremendous pressure on themselves and how they want their bodies to look, taxing their energy and abilities. They need others/outside confirmation or validation to feel good about themselves, like Cancers, Leos & Libras. Their love language is often words of affirmation but they show love through physical touch and crave/require/need/long for quality time. They need to feel useful, it makes them feel fabulous and raises their spirit more than anything. Like Pisces, there is an element of self-destruction, a belief in fate/destiny vs will, and a great desire to transcend the self.

Virgo moons and venuses show love by being there/present, being helfpful, attending to their partner’s needs, getting them items of practical use, cleaning, baking, cooking, and taking care of them, and by being attentive. Moon conjunct Venus individuals are almost excessively physically affectionate, constantly hugging and kissing on the lips or cheeks, constantly touching or being touched or wanting to cuddle, as showy and extra as a Leo Venus or Eros or Cancer sun. Very possessive of partners as well. Don’t quite understand the concept of personal space or distance sometimes. Crave physical and emotional intimacy and connection more than anything. Like Libras, can’t stand their own shadow, hate to be alone. Like Aquarius, too, hate feeling lonely and often cling or stick to someone who’s comfortable and convenient who they know, even though it’s not working out or they know the relationship is dying or nearly reaching its end, because they rather have someone than no one. Always have a backup plan or close friend to snuggle with if needed, someone to fall back on, if temporarily, to avoid loneliness. Need people, lots of people to live. Talk to someone everyday, all day, whether a parent or bestie, need constant reassurance and commitment. Can’t bear a lot of physical or emotional space. Hate when they can feel people pulling away. Feel psychic pain intensely, get attached easily, fall in love heavily, takes forever to fall out of love even when hurt repeatedly or dealing with partners who privately & publicly embarrass them, holds a soft spot for their ex, can’t move on, sentimental and nostalgic, clings to the past, too forgiving to their detriment, waits for people to come back to them; often runs back to exes or takes them back—like Aries moon or Venus, Pisces sun or Venus, Libra sun or Venus, Cancer sun or mars, Aquarius sun, Mars, or Venus, and Capricorn placements, they can take somebody back a thousand times, a thousand times too many. It’s like they never learn. Feels lost without someone. Too much time away from their partner makes them feel restless or uneasy or at risk of being abandoned, left, or broken up with. Has abandonment issues like Aquarius suns or Capricorn Venus or Mars. Emotionally unstable at times, like Cancer suns. Disconnection panics them. They don’t like to sever bonds. Tries to befriend their exes and their exes’s friends or family members after a breakup/remain cordial. Doesn’t understand why people don’t love or like them. Can seem needy at times. Like Libra, their heart rules their mind.

Which signs are the most manipulative?

First, we want to look at the signs by element. Water signs as a whole are more manipulative than all other signs, followed by air signs, then earth signs, and lastly fire signs, in descending order (most manipulative to least manipulative). Remember that manipulative doesn’t mean bad (although it can be if it becomes a habit), it means you know how to sway others, exert your will/power, and get your way; in spite of others attempts to get what they want or what is fair, you can resist attempts by others to challenge or undermine you because you posssess the power or ability to determine what both of you shall have and not have. Cancer suns and moons and risings are more manipulative than Pisces suns, moons, and risings but less manipulative than Scorpio suns/moon/risings. To be specific, Cancer suns are more manipulative than Scorpio suns and Scorpio suns are less manipulative than Pisces suns. Scorpio moons are more manipulative than Cancer moons and Pisces moons are less manipulative than both. When it comes to ascendants, Scorpio risings are more manipulative than Cancer risings who are more manipulative than Pisces risings. So in the sun category, in rank of most manipulative, Cancer is 1, Pisces is 2, Scorpio is 3. In the moon category, the most manipulative is: 1) Scorpio; 2) Cancer; 3) Pisces. In the ascendant category, the rank from most to least manipulative is: 1) Scorpio; 2) Cancer; 3) Pisces. In terms of overall manipulative rankings, Pisces is last in two fields and second in one category, so it is automatically the least manipulative of the water signs. Cancer is second in 2 categories and first in one, so it is the second most manipulative. Scorpio is 1st in 2 categories and 3 in one, so it has the edge and is overall the most manipulative of the water signs.

Of the air signs, Aquarius suns are more manipulative than Gemini suns, who are more manipulative than Libra suns. Gemini risings are more manipulative than Aquarius risings who are more manipulative than Libra risings. Aquarius moons are more manipulative than Gemini moons who are more manipulative than Libra ones. Libra places last in all three categories, so they are the least manipulative of the air signs. Gemini places first in one category and second in the other 2, so they are the second most manipulative. Aquarius takes 1st in two categories and 2nd in one category, so they are crowned the most manipulative of the air signs.

Of the earth signs, Capricorn suns are more manipulative than Taurus suns who are more manipulative than Virgo suns. Capricorn moons are less manipulative than Virgo moons who are less manipulative than Taurus moons. Capricorn risings are more manipulative than Taurus risings who are more manipulative than Virgo risings. Virgo is the least manipulative of the earth signs, seeing as they rank second in 1 category and last in 2 categories. Taurus place second overall, as they were ranked 2nd in 2 categories and 1st in 1 category. Capricorn is the most manipulative of the earth signs, as they place 1st in 2 categories and 2nd in 1.

Of the fire signs, Aries suns are more manipulative than Sagittarius suns who are more manipulative than Leo suns. Aries moons are more manipulative than Sagittarius moons which are more manipulative than Leo moons. Leo risings are more manipulative than Sagittarius risings which are more manipulative than Aries risings. Aries is overall the most manipulative of the fire signs since it places 1st in 2 categories and last in 1 category. Sagittarius are second as they place 2nd in all categories. Leo is the least manipulative of the fire signs because they place last in 2 categories and 1st in one.

Next, we want to look at the signs by modality. Of the mutable signs, Pisces, then Gemini, then Sagittarius, and lastly Virgo are the most manipulative, in ascending order, from top to bottom, meaning the first sign listed is the most manipulative and the last sign listed is the least manipulative. To demonstrate most to least manipulative in order, I will use greater or less than signs. For sun signs: Pisces>Gemini>Virgo>Sagittarius. For moon signs: Pisces>Sagittarius>Virgo>Gemini. For rising signs: Gemini>Sagittarius>Virgo>Pisces.

Of the cardinal signs, Cancer, then Aries, then Capricorn (actually Aries and Capricorn could be switched), and lastly Libras are the most manipulative. For sun signs: Cancer>Aries>Libra>Capricorn. For moon signs: Aries>Cancer>Capricorn>Libra. For rising signs: Capricorn>Cancer>Libra>Aries.

Of the fixed signs, Aquarius, then Scorpio, then Taurus, (could flip the two, actually), and lastly Leos are the most manipulative. For sun signs: Aquarius>Scorpio>Taurus>Leo. For moon signs: Scorpio>Aquarius>Taurus>Leo. For rising signs: Leo>Taurus>Aquarius>Scorpio.

For anyone who’s wondering why Leos are so low, it’s because they’re very clear about their intentions & straightforward and form little to none attempts to hide their guises or intents under a wall or mask of concealed intention and convince you they don’t have an agenda or trick you into doing their bidding or something they want without telling you their true, genuine motives for doing so. They don’t play games like Aquarius or Scorpio, less so Taurus. They will flat out tell you their goal or quest or ask you outright to help, support them, or do them a favor. And they won’t act sullenly or weird/different toward you if you decline their request so as to guilt-trip you into doing what you didn’t want to do. There’s really no manipulation to be found or coercion. No masked or deceitful intents. No purposes other than what they directly inform you of. No evasion or lying or hinting or omission of important information that could influence your decision/mind. No tricks, no mind games, no mental booby traps. No puzzle or riddle to be solved, no labyrinth, no chess vs checkers game. No hidden message to be decoded. Simple is as simple does, simple as that.

Aries and Cancers are the true divas of the zodiac, not Leos. They demand attention and praise or notice from others. They are the most emotionally demanding of all the signs, and the most determined to get what they want when they want it—NOW, or else. They are both very impatient and give ultimatums to speed up the process of them getting what they want. They are unwilling to wait for people or situations to unfold. They can be very coercive or forceful. You exist on their schedule or their timetable at their convenience, at their beck and call, or you don’t exist to them at all. Not saying all are like this. March Aries and July Cancers, for instance, are generally more high-strung, unyielding, and high maintenance, so to speak, than April Aries or June-born Cancers.

Scorpio ICs keep guarded secrets in their life. They may be very discreet/secretive about their addictions or home life. Because they have Taurus midheavens, they may present a very carefree, pretty, sunny with a handful of rainbows image to the public while battling intense private demons/battles/conflicts and addictions in the privacy of their homes. So many people with this placement lie about the causes of their being unwell, under the guise of a legitimate illness, thus gaining public sympathy and support, when in reality, they are often fighting a serious drug addiction they don’t want the public to know about. I’m not saying not wanting to have their business out is bad, but they often hide behind a web of lies and deception, a thick veil of false security that allows them to struggle through certain conditions without having the public know the truth, thus avoiding censure or shame or public disgrace/backlash, slipping under the notice of public scrutiny as they fall deeper into their demons/a downward spiral with no one to hold them accountable. Their lies will eventually catch up to them. These people usually come into power or fame because of their beauty and less so because of their talent. They skirt by. They are not as innocent as they appear to be—they are not America’s sweetheart and such, but they will be named so. They work very hard to keep their secrets buried and discard of evidence. They always have an excuse. They’re always having a “wellness break” or being hospitalized for “exhaustion” or “fever” or canceling shows because of “anxiety” or going to rehabs that are literally only for narcotics and saying they’re going there for mental health reasons, and so on. They get away with it because they’re popular and mostly well-liked, and again, have a very controlled, cookie-cutter/whistle clean, “American,” “good girl” or boy instead of a party girl or boy, homebody, safe, pristine image. The image is fake, crafted to perfection. Remember that Scorpio represents the shadow or dark side, all of the energy of Pluto, the taboo, everything people don’t want others to know, find out, or discover about themselves—the dirty little secrets, the skeletons in the closet and so on. I’m not saying everyone has a sordid history or perfectly crafted fake reputation, but anywhere there’s shadow, there’s something kept in the dark, something others can’t see or can’t make it into the light. The secrecy and lying makes it hard for those of us with legitimate illnesses & anxiety disorders, and even those who do suffer openly from substance addiction & have to be ripped apart & crucified by the public while others who are experiencing the same addiction as them get to hide under the cover of illness or whatever they invent & get lauded or praised, called brave, “strong,” “innocent” or “good” or not like those other people—the ones openly battling addiction or demons. They get reduced in society and pelleted while people who hide behind false pretenses and a web of lies get elevated at their expense. That’s unfair—but that’s the reality of Scorpio—shadow and underworld and darkness (they have light and softness to them as well, of course). It’s not just people with Scorpio moons or risings that suffer from demons is all I’m saying. Check your favorite Taurus placements, including risings, but especially midheavens and you’ll find a lot of shadow and dark to them that is obscured and cloaked in their appearance of light/light-heartedness. Light is an apparatus & weapon, veil, mask/persona/image/character & brand just as much as dark is. There are people who emphasize their darkness openly and embrace taboo, construct an image out of exploring the shadow parts of ourselves, the bad and the ugly, and there are people who build a reputation out of being soft & flowery and gentle and untouched by the dark, forces of “light,” wholly “good” or pure or whatever that means. It’s never that black or white. We all have duality to us. See beyond what people want you to see. See beyond the mask they wear—good or bad. See beyond.

Some take the image of the hero/heroes, others the villain. Some take the role of the healer or the savior, others the victim. Light (or purity or supposed innocence/innocuousness or the quality of being or appearing or pretending to be untainted or unsullied by forces and powers and conditions considered evil or deviant or “bad” or socially stigmatized) is an instrument just as much as dark or shadow or shade or nebulousness is. Again, light is an instrument. A tool. It can be marketed and sold, bought and believed. It is a tool & image. Something manufactured just as much as it is something real. It can be illusory. Invented. Weaponized. Artificial. It can be branded (it is a brand). See beyond.
