SWEET LIKE CANDY. nagi seishiro x f!reader, 0.5k
Tumblr media
the first time reo met you, he was sure nagi was fucking with him. there was simply no way you were dating nagi seishiro. you were far out of his league, miles beyond.
you reminded reo of a pretty flower; one of those his parents had on display. your uniform was clean and worn properly, your hair was flawless, your makeup was nice and subtle, and reo’s pretty sure he’d seen you on posters for the upcoming class president election. purple eyes drifted from you to nagi’s slouching form.
he paused. he could see how nagi fell for you, but how did you fall for nagi? granted, reo had only known him for a few weeks; maybe nagi was actually a really romantic guy who goes above and beyond for the person he loves. reo paused — fat chance. nagi seishiro thought eating was too much work.
“it’s nice to meet you. mikage reo, right?”
reo nodded and you smiled and continued the conversation while your overgrown boyfriend rested most of his weight on you — you didn’t seem to mind, running your fingertips over his arm. reo couldn’t help but think you looked good together.
“are you really dating nagi?” he couldn’t stop himself.
“what’s that supposed t’ mean?” nagi’s eyebrows furrowed and he pouted. reo thought he looked like a baby, but you pinched his cheek with a giggle.
reo raised an eyebrow, “i mean, she’s far out of your league, nagi. she could do better,” he was teasing and made eye contact with you. you smiled briefly, sending him a wink.
“no, she couldn’t,” the white haired boy sat up completely, reminding reo how tall he actually was, “i’m the best,” he murmured, pulling you close to him.
“no, no, no, she could definitely do better,”
nagi’s back straightened and he loomed over the table, “no, she couldn’t.” his voice was firm like reo had never heard before. you giggled and pulled him down. nagi followed your movement automatically, letting you guide him. he laid his head on your lap, humming in satisfaction when you began running your fingers through his hair. reo thought nagi resembled a cat. a flower and a cat; he laughed internally.
the loud talking from students around the cafeteria drifted into background noise and reo watched you and nagi have a quiet conversation. he couldn’t hear more than a few words shared between you, but the softness in both your eyes told him enough. nagi’s eyes had a shine they usually didn’t when he looked at you and his words were just a tad more enthusiastic. despite wanting to, reo didn’t comment on it, letting you soak in each other in peace.
you gently pushed him off your lap after a few more minutes, “sei, i have a committee meeting,”
sei… reo smiled subtly. he paused, “a committee meeting?”
you nodded, “hm! it’s for an upcoming event, but it’s still a secret, so i can’t tell you more,”
the purple haired boy blinked, before his eyes once again go from you to your half asleep boyfriend, “a-ha,”

pretty pretty - skz x member!reader (for anon :)))
chan
“(name), it’s your turn,“
chan’s voice brought you out of your thoughts. “okay,“ you nodded and stood up.
changbin opened the door so you could get into the recording booth.
“okay, (name). you just start when you’re ready,“ chan said into the microphone with a smile.
you nodded and took a deep breath, waiting a couple of seconds before you began singing.
you were a good singer. your voice was one of the main reasons chan asked your to be in the group, but he always forgot how good of a singer you really were. your voice was one of chans favorites. it could be quite deep from time to time, but you could also hit good high notes.
chan zoned out listening to you sing. he couldn’t tear his eyes away from your. you looked so pretty when you sang. your eyes were closed, concentrating on the song—chan found it adorable.
you finished singing your parts, but chan was still in a daze, eyes planted on you. he didn’t even notice you weren’t singing anymore
“chan,” jisung shook his leader, trying to get his attention “chan!”
“what?” chan finally tore his eyes from you, who was looking at him as well. chan flushed red when he realized the others had noticed him staring at you, “s-sorry. that was great, (name),” he gave your a thumbs up.
you nodded, took the headphones off and walked out of the booth. “you okay?”
chan cleared his throat. “yeah, yeah, i’m fine,” he avoided eye contact and couldn’t bring himself to look at you for the rest of the day.
minho
you and minho were lying on the floor, both of you out of breath, due to dancing for the last 5 hours, with only a few breaks. originally you had been practicing for the comeback, but after the others left it had turned in to just messing around.
minho was on his phone shuffling through some music, while you was trying to regain your breath. minho ended up choosing a girl group playlist and connected it to the sound system, before getting up from the floor.
“c’mon, (name). let’s dance!”
“i can’t; i’m dead,” you groaned and turned over so you were laid on your stomach.
minho laughed, and pulled you back onto your back and helped you up, ignoring your protest, “(name), dance with me.” he demanded, just as fancy began sounded through the speakers, “oh fuck yeah,” he cheered and began to dance crazily, making you laugh tiredly.
“you’re gonna let me dance alone?” he pouted, earning a giggle and a small okay from you.
he cheered and took your hands and twirled your around, making your laugh. as you laughed minho slowed down a bit (not enough for you to notice), and simply looked at you—you looked so happy and carefree, his favorite look on you. if there was one thing minho loved, it was making you smile and laugh, whenever he did it he felt warm and happy inside.
letting go of one of your hands, he spun you out and in, rolling you into his arms, your giggle echoed throughout the room. ignoring the way his heart was pounding, minho brought up a to pinch your cheek, “ahh! so cute,”
changbin
you hadn’t had the best day—you were tired, one of your friends from your hometown was in the hospital, and you was just all a round not feeling very well. on top of that their comeback was near so everybody was stressed. you had walked into an empty practice room to let it all out, with the excuse that you had to use the bathroom.
you had been gone for 10 minutes when changbin noticed you weren’t back yet and had been gone for a suspicious amount of time. he knew you wasn’t feeling well—you hadn’t told him, but he could sense it in the way you acted slightly different from usual. he quietly left the practice room they were practicing in after telling chan and went looking for you.
“(name)?“ he opened the door into a dance practice room, spotting you on the couch, curled up in a ball. your head rested on your knees, face towards the door, giving him a clear look of your face—your eyes were glossy with tears and your lips swollen, and when changbin got closer to you he could see dried tears on  your cheeks. it broke his heart to see you like this, “oh, (name),“ he jogged over and wrapped you in hug, running his hand up and down your back.
so pretty… changbin shook his head, trying to get rid of those thoughts. she’s crying, changbin, get it together. he scooped your up into his arms “it’s okay, (name). i’ve got you,” he mumbled into the top of your head. you was curled up in a ball as you was sitting in his lap, your head on his chest, his arms around your body, trying to calm your down.
“i’m right here, (name). we’re all right here,“
hyunjin
hyunjin was looking at his phone, ignoring the rest of the 00 liners goofing around. the others had left the dorm around 3 hours ago, and they would be back soon, with food, hopefully.
hyunjin was watching a video on youtube when someone snapped their fingers in front of his face.
“jinnie!”
it was (name). hyunjin looked up from his phone and directly into your eyes. he felt his face heat up at how close you was. (a part of him thought you was gonna kiss him because of how close you was to him.)
“do you know when the others are gonna get back?”
hyunjin nodded stiffly. “soon,” he said, as he tried to keep his blush under control.
(name) nodded at his answer and leaned back, to continue the conversation you had with seungmin.
hyunjin leaned furtyour into the couch, with a beat red face trying to ignore jisung and felix winking at him.
-
jisung
it was 03.34. most of korea was asleep, but you and jisung weren’t. they were too busy laughing their asses off.
it was 2 days before christmas and they were alone in the dorm. the other boys had left the day before, leaving sleep deprived jisung and tired bilingual (name). the two were leaving tomorrow afternoon. for now, they were laughing over a bad romcom. they started watching it so they had something to laugh at, and laugh they did.
they were halfway through the movie and to them it was the funniest movie ever. they were laughing at everything that happened.
at some point jisung managed to calm himself down enough to open his eyes. he was still giggling as his eyes fell on the barely older girl, who sat crossed legged beside him. your eyes were curled up and you had a beautiful smile on your lips. seeing your like this made his heart skip a couple of beats. he stopped laughing and just observed your.
you noticed quickly. “sung?” your laughing quieted down and was now a small giggle.
jisung made a noise of confusion, as he snapped out of his thoughts.
“what’s up?” you giggled at the noise he made.
“n-nothing,”
“if you say so. let’s watch another movie,”
“yeah, lets,” his voice was a whisper and it went unnoticed by (name), who was shuffling through netflix. “you’re really pretty, (name),” he whispered again, and it went unnoticed.
felix
“(name), you need to take your makeup off,” felix chuckled, sitting down on the couch next to your.
“‘m too tired,” you mumbled into the pillow, that was most definitely one of yours.
felix stared at your for a second with a soft smile, before standing up and walking into the bathroom. he quickly took the makeup remover and some cotton pads, and returned to the living room. he sat down in the same spot as before. “sit up,”
(name) groaned. “but i’m comfortable,” you whined.
“c’mon, (name). i’m gonna take your makeup off and then you can go to bed,”
you hummed and pulled yourself up with a tired groan. you leaned up against the back of the couch
felix moved closer to your. your eyes was closed and he was sure you was gonna fall asleep soon. he gently rubbed the cotton pad over your face, getting rid of your makeup. he noticed your breathing had gotten slower and heavier, and slowed down to get a better look at your.
(name) was pretty, of course you was. felix had always known that. but seeing your like this: hair in a loose ponytail, sweatpants, a way to big t-shirt, no makeup, it made his heart skip a couple of beats.
“(name)?” he whispered, putting the cotton pad down.
(name) hummed in response, still half asleep.
felix chuckled quietly. “your makeup is off now,” he stood up and held his hands out for your to take. “we’re gonna wash your face and then you’re going to bed,”
(name) groaned softly and took his hands, your eyes still closed.
felix helped your up from the couch and led your to the bathroom. after quickly washing your face felix lead your to your room, you shared with jisung and jeongin. -who were both asleep.- he made your lay down in your bed and pulled your heavy covers up over your. “g’night, (name),” he softly kissed your forehead as you nuzzled into your pillow.
seungmin
you didn’t do solo vlives often. in fact you had never done one. simply because you believed you isn’t interesting enough (nor can you talk for so long), so you were usually joined the boys; today you was joined by seungmin.
“how are you, stay~?” seungmin asked, in his usual cute tone, causing you to giggle.
seungmin leaned closer to the phone to read the comments. “we’re doing okay.” he read. “i was sad, but seeing you two made me happy.”
yougb continued the vlive by talking about what they had been up to, asking some questions and talking about their america tour.
at some point seungmin had zoned out. he was looking at (name) explain something. he wasn’t listening to what you was saying, just simply looking at your face. seungmin loved (name)s eyes, he always had. he liked the shade of brown they were, he liked the way they would almost disappear when you laughed, he liked the way you could see exactly how you was feeling by looking into them.
seungmin was so lost in thought that he didn’t notice (name) had stopped talking and was now looking back at him with a confused look.
”minnie?,” your voice was soft, like it always was. you waved your hand in front of his face. ”seungmin!”
”what?” he shook his head, as you giggled lightly.
”are you okay?”
seungmin nodded slowly, his eyes still glued to your face. “i’m….fine,”
“okay, minnie. if you say so,” you smiled and turned to read some comments and continue talking.
seungmin tried to calm himself down without looking obvious. he looked down at his lap, he could clearly feel his face getting hot. god, why did you have to look him in the eyes. he slowly looked up at the phone again, when a comment caught his eye.
‘get yourself someone who looks at you the way seungmin looks at (name)’
he instantly looked back down, face burning.
jeongin
“jeongin,”
jeongin felt someone shake him lightly.
“jeongin!”
he recognized the voice, even when he was pretty much still asleep. he groaned and rolled over, so he was facing the wall. he heard a giggle followed by more shaking.
“yang jeongin! wake up!” (name) said loudly, refusing to give up and let him sleep.
jeongin groaned again, before opening his eyes. he rubbed his eyes tiredly and turned back around to face (name).
“what time is it,” he mumbled.
“it’s almost 9, and we have to be at jyp around 10, so you need to get up and get ready,”
jeongin groaned again, causing the girl to let out a laugh. jeongin stared lazily at the older girl. you was sitting on the edge of his bed, your hair was falling down messily, - almost like it had been styled. - you was wearing a hoodie, jeongin was pretty sure was changbins. you looked stunning, even in the morning. you was looking at him with a soft look in your eye and a small smile. it was the same look you always had when you was looking at him. it made him feel weird inside, a good kind of weird.
jeongin felt his cheeks heat up. it was too early for his heart to be beating this fast. “okay, okay. i’m gonna get up,“ he slowly got out of bed, avoiding looking at (name), in fear that you would notice his red cheeks.
(name) nodded with a soft grin and got up from the bed, you walked over to your bed and picked up your backpack. “okay, i’m gonna leave you too it,“ and with that you was out of the room.
jeongin stopped in his tracks when you closed the door. he put a hand over his racing heart. “calm down, jeongin, calm down,“

NEW WORLD WEIRDOS. whitebeard pirates x f!reader, 0.7k
Tumblr media
izou’s eyebrows furrowed as he saw a lone girl sitting on a piece of wood. he leaned forward over the railing trying to get a better view, catching marco’s attention.
“what is it?” marco asked, looking in the same direction as his fellow commander, “a girl?”
thatch walked over to the two, ready to ask them if they wanted to eat something. he halted when he saw the two men leaning over the railing, looking focused and confused.
“have you two finally lost it?” he joked, hitting them both on their backs.
“there’s a girl,” marco explained, pointing thatch in the direction, “on that piece of wood right there,”
the cooks eyebrows raised, he took a deep breath and shouted, “hey, girl!! are you alright?!”
you turned your head, looking back at the big ship and the few men standing looking down at you. you gave them a thumbs up and a smile, “i’m fine! thank you for asking!”
despite your reassurance, the men remained worried.
“leave her be,” whitebeard commanded from his chair in the middle of the deck.
“but, pops, she could be in danger. isn’t it around here there is a sea king nest?”
“juzo,” whitebeard addressed the man who spoke, “she’s sitting on a piece of wood in the middle of the ocean - in new world, no less. only someone with great power would even think to do that,” only someone stupid would do that.
a shout came from the crows nest, “sea king!!”
“there you are,” you grinned, standing up with your wooden staff in hand.
“oi! get away from there!”
“no! i’m waiting!” you yelled back, eyeing the familiar sea king, “give him back!!”
bending your knees with a smug look on your face, you jumped from the raft and into the air. the men on the ship gaped at the sight. sounds of surprise and shock came when you swung the staff right into the sea king’s neck, knocking it backwards and you went back down. you barely made contact with the raft again before you jumped up, swinging and hitting the sea king on the head. the creature spat out something green before fainting back down into the water.
after catching your beloved green sidekick, you gracefully landed on the raft, you grinned, moving your goggles so they sat comfortably on your head again. the bird was covered in sea king saliva but you didn’t mind and did your best to clean him with a random piece of cloth you kept in your pocket. the green bird was squeaking in uncomfort, pecking your fingers a few times, clearly angry you had let him be eaten by a sea king. you apologized with a grin.
your attention drifted to the huge ship behind you. the same men that had called for you earlier were still watching, along with a couple new faces. moving your hand up to the top of your head, you let your sidekick make himself comfortable on top of your head. with two simple motions you landed on the deck of the ship.
“hello! i’m (name)!” you grinned, “nice to meet you!”you pointed to the big man sitting in the middle of the deck, “you’re whitebeard!”
though he was cautious of you, he couldn’t help but laugh in amusement, “that i am, child,”
you grinned. he was so much bigger than you thought he would be and he wasn’t even the biggest person there.
marco looked at you in worry, “you could’ve died,”
“nah,” you smiled big, “i don’t think i can die, honestly,”
“what do you mean?”
you looked over at the feminine man, and began telling a story animatedly, “once, right, i was trapped in a burning house and i passed out, and when i woke up i was outside and completely fine,”
izou, along with everybody else on the whitebeard ship, looked at you with concern and worry, “i’m sure someone got you out of there… or maybe it was a dream,”
you shook your head with wide eyes, “i was the only one on the island. and it wasn’t a dream! this scar, right?” you pointed to the big scar on the bottom right side of your face, “i got this because of the fire!”
“ah ha.”
new world truly was strange.

cafe q, chapter seven. han jisung
note: hi last chapter was posted in april sdfhjd send feedback juseyo
wc: 1k
Tumblr media
jisung stared at his ringing phone. it was you.
you had told him you would call him after your date with felix to tell him how it went, and judging by the string of texts you had sent him about how cute felix was when he went to the restroom, it went well.
jisung tugged his hair harshly, still staring at your picture on his phone. it was a picture he had taken on his birthday. he took it when you went to the arcade together and had tired on dumb hats. he had laughed and said you looked stupid with the squid hat on, but he thought you looked absolutely adorable. he had been quick to fish out his phone from his pocket and take a picture of you. you had smiled brightly and presented the hat proudly. jisung adored the picture, you looked so happy and carefree, it made his heart pound.
“aren’t you pick up?” changbin appeared from his room, startling jisung. changbin took a glimpse at the youngers phone, “it’s (name),”
“i know,” jisung said curtly, falling back onto the couch, a hand on his stomach.
“so shouldn’t you pick up?”
jisung groaned, moving his hands up so they were covering his face, “they just wanna talk about date out felix,”
changbin was still confused, “so shouldn’t you pick up?”
jisung looked at changbin like he had just said the dumbest thing imaginable, “you think i wanna hear the person i’m in love with talk about someone else,”
“no, but i think you should hear your friend talk about someone else,” changbin rolled his eyes and crossed his arms over his chest, “just because you’re in love with (name) doesn’t mean you can stop being their friend,”
“you’re telling me if, that if someone you were in love with was talking about someone else you would listen?” jisung sat back up, shoulder slagged.
“yes! because we would be friends,” the older explained slowly, like he was talking to a child, “stop being childish, (name) is your friend,”
jisung let his head fall down, so he was looking at the dirty floor. feeling slightly ashamed, he let out a deep breath, glancing at his phone — it had stopped ringing ages ago. he heard changbin sigh, before he sat down next to jisung on the old couch.
placing a hand on jisung’s shoulder, changbin looked at his friend, “i get it’s difficult, sung, but you’re friends, and friends listen to each other talk about the people they like,” he spoke carefully. it made his heart hurt to see jisung so crestfallen.
“i know,” jisung let his head fall again, swallowing hard, “it’s just… i want (name) to be happy, you know. but it’s hard,”
changbin leaned forwards and took the youngers phone, “i know, sung. but right now they wanna talk to you,” he handed the phone to its owner, watching as jisung took it and opened it. changbin stood up, “i’ll be in my room,”
jisung nodded without looking. he found your contact and called you. putting the phone up to his ear, he weakly hit himself on the cheek and cleared his throat. when you picked up he closed his eyes and fell down on the couch again, “hi, (name),” he spoke chippily, hoping he sounded the same as usual.
“jisung!”
god, you sounded so happy, and it made his heart squeeze. he dreaded the words he was about to say, “how’d the date go?”
“it went so well. he’s so sweet, and kind, and funny, and pretty, and,” you let out a dreamy sigh, “he’s so perfect, sung,”
“he is,” jisung agreed, even though he felt like crying his eyes out, “tell me more. what did you do?” honestly, jisung was barely listening to what you were saying. he knew it went well, but that didn’t make it easier to listen to you go on and how perfect felix was. he moved a hand up to his face, and rested his arm over his eyes.
“-and then he kissed me,” you muttered, like you were in a daze.
jisung physically felt his heart break, “really? how was it?” it hurt him to ask.
“oh, it was perfect,” you let out a sigh, and jisung could almost picture the lovestruck expression on your face.
you gasped, “you wanna know the best part, sung?”
no. “yeah,”
“he asked if he could be my boyfriend. we’re dating,”
the tears jisung had been trying to stop, finally fell. you sounded so excited and happy, “really? that’s great!” his voice broke.
“sung, are you okay? you sound like you’re crying,”
“yeah, yeah, i’m fine. i just have a small cold, it’s nothing, don’t worry,”
“oh, okay. do you want me to come over with something?” you asked sincerely.
“no, no, it’s fine. changbin is taking care of me,” he reassured hurriedly. he didn’t want to see you at the moment, “hey, uh, i have to go now,”
“okay, feel better,”
“yeah, see you tomorrow,” jisung hung up before you could respond. letting go of his phone, it fell onto the couch, as he began crying softly. after lying on the couch for another 10 minutes, he stood up and guided himself to changbin’s room. he knocked softly and walked in when he heard a “come in”.
“oh, sung,” changbin stood up from his chair and walked over to his friend. he pulled him in for a hug, rubbing jisung’s back as he cried into his shoulder.
“they’re dating,” jisung mumbled, tears running down his face, “i missed my chance,”
changbin close his eyes at the words. he let out a deep sigh, holding the heartbroken boy tighter. while still hugging the younger, changbin lead them to his bed, sitting down. jisung sat beside him and curled up into his side. the two hugged for a long time; changbin running his hand up and down jisung’s back in a comforting way, until jisung got done crying and eventually fell asleep in changbin’s embrace.
“it’s gonna be fine, sung,” changbin whispered when he noticed the younger had fallen asleep, “you’re gonna be fine,”

for you. yang jeongin
note: @jisusgf this ones for u babe also the result of my totally innocent questions that has nothing to do with anything n thanks to miss bea for beating this
sypnosis: 3 things jeongin does to show his love for you
wc: 1.8k
Tumblr media
for you jeongin makes playlists filled with love songs
“i’m so tired,” you mumbled, walking after jeongin through the bus, holding his hand in yours.
“i told you you shouldn’t have stayed up so late,” your boyfriend snickered, glancing back at you just as you yawned. his heart was slowly melting at how cute you looked.
“yeah, yeah, stop being mean,”
jeongin stopped right by two empty seats, and let you have the window seat, “how am i mean?”
you didn’t respond, only pouted as he sat down next to you, intertwining your fingers once again. your heart fluttered at the feeling and sight of his hand in yours; though it had been ten months since you started dating, it still did wonders to your heart.
jeongin smiled when you yawned again, his face erupting into a blush when you laid your head on his shoulder and let out a sigh of content. jeongin smiled and leaned down to place a delicate kiss on the crown of your head. he watched as a soft smile broke out on your face, feeling his heart beat faster — you really were too cute for him to handle.
you sat like that for a while, until the bus drove past a music store and jeongin remembered the gift he had made you. he let out a quiet gasp and moved down to get his backpack, making you raise your head in the process.
“what are you doing?” you asked, watching him fumble through his bag looking for something. you raised an eyebrow when he fished out a pair of ancient looking apple earpods.
“hold these,” he handed them to you — read, threw them over his shoulder and they just so happened to land on your lap — before diving back in.
“what are you looking for?”
“my phone,” he grunted as his hand got caught in between two thick books.
“didn’t you put it in the tiny room,”
“did i?” jeongin opened the first and tiny room on his bag and saw his phone. he took it out of the bag and leaned back in the seat, “you’re a lifesaver,” plugging the earphones into the phone, he handed you one of them, “take it,” he said, when you stared at it.
“jeongin, i love you, but if i put this in my ear i’ll get an infection,”
“(name),” he whined, “i did clean them yesterday, thank you very much,”
“but did you though?” you teased, taking one of the earbud from him and putting it in your ear, “if i get an ear infection it’s on you,”
jeongin rolled his eyes, not fighting back the pout that landed on his lips, “stop being mean to me,”
“how am i mean?” you grinned while quoting him, earning a weak punch on your bicep.
“just listen,” jeongin opened up spotify and clicked on his newest playlist — “for you” it was called, and as far as you could tell, all the songs were love songs.
you gulped, “jeongin-”
your boyfriend cut you off, “please just listen,” he pressed the first song and shut his phone, letting you listen in peace. falling by harry styles was the first song played, the melody filling your ears. you closed your eyes and placed your head on jeongin’s shoulder again, listening to the lyrics and nothing else. you were torn between feeling calmer than ever and feeling like you might explode. jeongin making you a playlist was too much for you to handle. by the end of the third song you still hadn’t moved, and jeongin was getting more and more nervous by the minute. did you hate it? no, if you hated it you wouldn’t look so content right now.
you were close to being asleep when jeongin shook you gently, “angel, our stop is next,” he kissed your forehead just before you lifted your head, the music still playing to the both of you. jeongin’s heart was beating wildly in his chest even as he took your hand and guided you out of the bus.
jeongin let go of your hand at some point on your walk to your place, but he still made sure to walk close enough to you so you could share earbuds. you still hadn’t said anything about the playlist, choosing to listen and walk in silence, and jeongin was close to losing his shit.
when you stood in front of the building you called home, you took a step from jeongin’s side to his front, now facing for the first time since you got on the bus. you removed the earbud and put it in his hand with butterflies fluttering in your stomach.
jeongin chuckled nervously, “what did you think?” his eyes scanned your face, taking note of the soft curl on your lips and joyful glint in your eyes. you looked beautiful, and jeongin felt shy just looking at you.
“i-“ you breathed out softly, looking him in the eyes, “i really like it, it’s-“ you were close to tears, if honestly, this was quite overwhelming, “thank you, jeongin, i really appreciate it,”
quick to see your eyes get glossy, jeongin stuffed the earbuds messily into his pocket before cupping your cheeks, gently wiping away a stray tear. he could see how much the playlist meant to you despite how little you said; he smiled softly and gave you a quick kiss on the lips, “anytime, my angel,”
Tumblr media
for you jeongin let’s himself break down
“jeongin, baby?” you knocked on the door as you opened it, keeping your voice at a minimal level so you wouldn’t give him a shock. seeing him lay on his bed all tired and down, “oh, baby,” you gently let your bag fall onto the floor and walked over to him, kneeling down beside his bed. your hand brushed a few hairs out of his face, giving him a weak smile when he looked at you, “hi,” you whispered, “how are you feeling?”
you knew he had had a rough week, but had planned to leave him alone until hyunjin had contacted you, asking you to come over; you were hesitant but did as he requested after he gave you more details about jeongin’s horrible week, and before you knew it, you were kneeling beside his exhausted form.
not feeling like speaking, jeongin let out a groan you easily translated to despair.
you breathed out a chuckle, running your fingers up and down his cheek gently. you didn’t notice the first tear that slid slowly down your boyfriend’s face, nor did you notice the second — you did, however, notice the third. it landed on your hand that was lying next to his face, catching your attention and making you look at the males face.
“are you crying?”
“no,”
“baby,, i can feel your tears on my hand,” you called him out, in the gentlest manner.
“so what if i am?” he sniffled, moving to cover his face with his hands.
he didn’t resist as your hands removed his from his face, “nothing,” you ran your fingers through his messy locks, knowing how much he loved when you — or anyone, really — did so, it always filled him with a sense of calm.
“it’s okay to cry, don’t hold it in,”
your gentle words and touch made him crumble. he stopped holding back his tears and simply let them roll down his warm cheeks.
“oh, angel,” you moved up and over him, laying behind him, draping your arm over his waist, placing a kiss on his shoulder.
even though he had yet to stop crying, the tension in jeongin’s shoulders disappeared little by little as you kept him in your arms, playing with his hair in a tender manner. jeongin took the hand draped over his waist and hugged it into his chest.
“thank you,” he whispered, after he stopped crying and his breathing returned to normal, “thank you,” his body moved on its own, turning to you, sinking his face into your chest without much thought. he let out a sigh of content when your nails made contact with his scalp; it felt nice, so so nice. you felt nice.
“you have nothing to apologize for, my lily,”
jeongin’s face flushed red at the nickname, and he pulled himself closer into you, a soft smile on his lips, “stop it,”
placing a kiss on top of his head, your lips curled into a smile mirroring his, “never,”
Tumblr media
for you jeongin let’s himself be soft
the only light lighting up the dark of your room, was the moon shining through the window and the muted light of your nightlight. jeongin was lying beside you, resting his head on the pillow you had just for him, his face towards the ceiling, you the same.
thoughts were whirling around in jeongin’s head, most of them — all of them — related to you in one way or another. he felt so utterly calm in the moment, laying with you on your bed wide awake when you should be sleeping; it filled him with a unfamiliar sense of comfort he only felt when he was with you.
your eyes were focused on the glow-in-the-dark-stars the two of you had spent an afternoon putting up on your ceiling (jeongin had been close to losing an eye multiple times that day). you were oh so pretty, with your lovely eyes and charming smile, that jeongin had come to love more than anything. his emotions began overwhelming him — he loved you more than he had loved anything else before, and it was scaring him.
“you mean the world to me,” the words were spoken before jeongin had a chance to comprehend it, let alone stop them from leaving his mouth. his face flushed immediately after and he buried his face into your pillow, missing the soft smile that grew on your face.
you turned on your side so you would be facing him, if his face wasn’t buried in the pillow, “innie?” your voice was a whisper as to not break the calm atmosphere, moving a hand up to lay on his shoulder, “you mean the world to me as well,”
jeongin’s heart rate picked up. he raised the side of his head that faced you, “really,” his voice came out small.
brushing his hair out of his face, you hummed in confirmation, eyes slowly running over his face. your eyes ended up looking into his — you grew shy when he kept staring at you, his eyes wandering around your face like yours did his.
jeongin felt like his heart was going to beat out of his chest when you pulled his closer to you, so his head was resting over your chest. he loved being close to you, especially when it was like this; late night, the only light coming from the shining moon and the muted nightlight.
“i love you, my lily,” you muttered into his hair, kissing the spot.
jeongin let out a deep sigh, happy and content, as he tightened his grip around you, “i love you, too, angel,”

bang chan !!
“(name), it’s your turn,”
chan’s voice brought you out of your thoughts. you nodded wordlessly and stood up, walking into the recording booth, changbin closing it behind you. you took the headphones and put them on while humming the part you were about to sing.
“okay, (name), you ready?“ chan asked into the microphone with a smile, starting the music when you nodded and gave him a thumbs up.
you were a good singer. your voice was one of the main reasons chan asked you to be in the group, but he always forgot how good of a singer you really were. your voice was one of chans favorites. it could be quite deep from time to time, but you could also hit good high notes.
chan zoned out listening to you sing. he couldn’t tear his eyes away from you. you looked so pretty when you sang. your eyes were closed, concentrating on the song - chan found it adorable.
you finished singing the part, but chan was still in a daze, eyes planted on you. he didn’t even notice you had stopped singing.
“chan,” jisung shook his leader, trying to get his attention “chan!”
“what?” chan finally tore his eyes from you, who was looking at him with confusion, like the rest of the boys. chan flushed red when he realized the others had noticed him staring at you, “s-sorry. that was great, (name),” he gave you a thumbs up.
you nodded, took the headphones off and walked out of the booth. “you okay?”
chan cleared his throat. “yeah, yeah, i’m fine,” he avoided eye contact and couldn’t bring himself to look at you for the rest of the day.
lee minho !!
you and minho were lying on the floor, both of you out of breath, due to dancing for the last 5 hours, with only a few breaks. originally you had been practicing for the comeback, but after the others left it had turned in to just messing around.
minho was on his phone shuffling through some music, while you were trying to regain your breath. minho ended up choosing a girl group playlist and connected it to the sound system, before getting up from the floor.
“c’mon, (name). let’s dance!”
“i can’t, i’m dead,” you groaned and turned over so you were laid on your stomach.
minho laughed, and pulled you back onto your back and helped you up, ignoring your protest, “(name), dance with me.” he demanded, just as fancy began to sound through the speakers. he cheered and began to dance crazily, making you laugh tiredly, “you’re gonna let me dance alone?” he pouted, earning a giggle from you, before you joined him.
he cheered again and took your hands and twirled your around, making you laugh. as you laughed, minho slowed down a bit (not enough for you to notice), and looked at you - you looked so happy and carefree, his favorite look on you. if there was one thing minho loved, it was making you smile and laugh; doing so never failed to make him feel warm inside.
letting go of one of your hands, he spun you out and in, rolling you into his arms, your laugh echoed throughout the room. ignoring the way his heart was pounding in his chest, minho brought up a to pinch your cheek, “ahh! so cute,” laughing when you pouted.

BACKGROUND CHARACTER. nara shikamaru x gn!reader, 0.7k
Tumblr media
“what did he do now?” shikamaru muttered to himself, as two nameless chunin’s ran after naruto.
shikamaru stopped abruptly, whipping his head around. he took a deep breath, feeling the cold air in his lungs. mentally, he went over every single part of his body; everything felt fine, normal. so why was he feeling so weird? was he dreaming? he looked down at his hand, “in your dreams you never have five fingers” didn’t you say that once? he thinks you did.
one, two, three, four, five. shit. it wasn’t a dream. then what was it? he felt like he was being watched, kinda. it was a strange feeling, one that was building up from the tip of his toes to the top of his head. feeling very out of place, he sighed, “what a pain,”
then he saw you. you were sitting on the roof of a random building, a lollipop hanging halfway out your mouth. maybe you knew what was happening to him.
you were odd, described as weird by most people, and shiakmaru always thought you looked like you knew something no one else did. he found you rather exhausting if he was honest and the way you spoke in riddles was a pain. with a single jump, he stood beside you on the roof.
“shikamaru. what a surprise,”
he kissed his teeth, “what’s going on?”
“what do you mean?”
shikamaru kicked a small stone from the roof and sat down beside you. he mentally debated telling you how he was feeling, sighing in exhaustion, “i’m feeling weird,” he simply stated, hoping you would take it from there.
“what kind of weird?”
he sighed again, “like i suddenly gained consciousness,”
you peaked up, “oh?” did he wake up? did he realize that none of this was real? if you did expect anyone to figure it out, it would be shikamaru; the boy who was a lot smarter than he led on.
“i don’t know how else to describe it.” he laid down, resting his head on his hands, “what a pain,”
“shikamaru, do you feel real?”
he cringed. this wasn’t the first time you had said that, not even the first time you had said it to him. last time you asked, he had clicked his tongue and ignored you, walking away with his hands behind his head. but this time he thought about it. no, he didn’t feel real.
“none of this is real,” you stated, turning your entire body to his.
“is that so,”
“shikamaru,” your tone was serious, “we live in a fictional world. someone wrote us,”
his heart paused. swinging himself upright with ease, “who’s the main character?” he asked, half serious. talking to you was a mistake. you were just a weirdo with a big imagination… maybe.
“naruto of course,” you nodded to yourself, arms crossing over your chest when shikamaru looked at you like you had an extra head, “c’mon… he has a monster inside him, no parents, hated by everyone-
“okay, i get it,” he cut you off. naruto was the main character. he could feel a headache forming, “what about us then? what roles do we have?”
you tilted your head, “well, you’re a side character, but still a part of the main cast,”
“and you?”
“i’m a background character!” you smiled big, as if you were proud of being a nobody in the grand scheme of things.
shikamaru raised an eyebrow, “you’re a background character?”
“yup!”
“and you’re happy about that?”
your grin widened, “yeah! that means i won’t be included in whatever you important characters have going on,”
shikamaru grimaced. while everything was sinking in, he fell down onto his back, eyes on the sky, “i wanna be a background character,” he complained, closing his eyes, enjoying the breeze on his face, “this is a pain,”
you hummed, mirroring his action of lying down, “knowing the truth usually is,”
he didn’t answer. a part of him was convinced you were spewing bullshit, like often. but the other part believed what you were saying. the more he thought about it the more sense it made. naruto was somewhat of a walking cliché, sasuke’s monologues of revenge, sakura and ino’s annoying rivalry. am i a cliché? a horrified look came up on his face. was he? he hoped not, that would be embarrassing.
“now what?” he said, eyes on a passing cloud.
you hummed in thought, “nothing,”
shikamaru raised an eyebrow, glancing at you. your eyes met his for a moment and you continued, “well, we can’t do anything about it, and we don’t exactly have free will. so… nothing,”
a moment of silence, then he sighed, “what a pain,”

CHASING THE MOONRISE. one piece x f!reader, 3.3.k
this issss…… i don't know. i did the timeline from memory so it might be wrong lmao i hope (PRAY!!!!) it’s readable *smiley face*
MARINEFORD SPOILERS BUT DIFFERENT
Tumblr media
you didn’t know a life outside of mt. colubo and the mountain bandits. your first memory was throwing rice at dogra – you faintly remembered dadan shouting afterwards, something about having to clean up again.
you didn’t remember meeting ace either, he had also been there practically since birth. garp had told you about the first time you and ace met though, about how ace had thrown dirt in your face and you had hit him and started crying, not stopping until all the dirt had been washed off you. that story always made garp laugh until he cried – apparently children fighting and crying was hilarious to him.
garp had also been a constant in your life. you never questioned where he came from or how he knew you. he told you to call him grandpa and you did.
you liked your life. it was relatively peaceful, apart from when ace dragged you with him to gray terminal, and big events were rare. ace had introduced you to sabo one day. sabo had asked if you were related, both you and ace shrugged. neither of you had asked and you doubted dadan knew. when you asked garp the next time you saw him, he said no, but that your fathers knew each other well. that made ace scowl.
at some point while growing up, ace had gotten to know who his father was. at first he didn’t think anything of it, but after asking different random people how they would feel if the pirate king had a child and only getting negative responses, resentment began building up inside him. you hadn’t known what to say to him – you didn’t hate your father, you couldn't relate to what he was going through. it was strange. that was the first time ace had experienced something you hadn’t. you wrapped your arms around him one night when you heard quiet, muffled sniffles, spooning him. neither of you said anything, but after a while the sniffling stopped. that night wasn’t spoken off again, but once in a while ace would move closer to you at night.
luffy… he was a handful to say the least. if he wasn’t running after ace, he was trailing you like a duckling. he was cute, you would give him that, with his big smiles and hat that was too big for his head. when you asked about the hat he went on a whole tangent about a pirate named shanks. he had spoken so fast you had a hard time understanding what he was saying, but you got the gist of it.
when he was finished talking about shanks, he had proudly proclaimed he was going to be king of the pirates. in the corner of your eye you noticed ace tense up. you smiled to luffy, ruffling his hair
“good luck then, future pirate king,”
luffy beamed, mimicking the sun and the light it casted everyday.
out of the four of you, you were the one with the least amount of injuries. all of you had been hit at least once by the bluejam pirates. your main mission had been getting luffy out of there and doing some quick tending of his wounds. it had taken less than five minutes to get him out of there, but ace was stubborn as all hell, unfortunately. you had wrapped luffy the best you could in twenty seconds and joined ace and sabo in beating the pirates.
later had you wrapped bandages around luffy more carefully after removing the dried blood off him. ace had scowled when you simply threw the unused bandages at him and sabo to wrap themselves up. “stop coddling him!” you gently squeezed luffy cheeks together, pouting yourself,  “but he’s just a baby.”
stealing four cups and a sake from dadan was so easy it almost hurt. ace had told you to get the cups while he grabbed the sake. he had you get luffy and sabo, and you all went into the forest. ace explained that drinking this would mean you were family. happiness had surged through you as you drowned the liquid.
the treehouse came not soon after. you had gotten a tiny splinter halfway through building. it hurt like hell and none of you could get it out. ace snuck back into the dadan’s and stole a pair of tweezers for sabo to get the splinter out of your finger. luffy was near tears each time you hissed and whined out of pain. you gave his hair a few pats to calm him down.
the fight between the three boys hadn’t really faced you. even when they all loudly exclaimed they were no longer family and luffy left the treehouses. boys are stupid, dadan had said once after luffy had gotten his hand stuck in a tree. you concluded the same thing a week later when ace sat himself on fire because he wasn’t paying attention.
instead of indulging in ace and sabo, you helped luffy get stronger and old man naguri build his ship. ace eventually got over himself. eventually. it took longer than you would’ve liked, but you understood that his father was a sensitive subject.
though it had been a drag, the fight had gotten you thinking about your own father. grap said yours and ace’s father’s knew each other. maybe your father was a pirate too? pirates were cool. well not all of them, the bluejam pirates were stinky old men. you had never asked garp about it, you never had the urge to know. once you asked about your mother, garp had placed a hand on your head and told you she was no longer in the world. you hadn’t known your mother but knowing she was dead had saddened you. dadan, who sat beside the marine, had grumbled about how her home was turning into an orphanage – it made you giggle and forget about your sadness.
sabo getting taken from you and your brothers and being forced to work from the same pirates that once beat up your beloved little brother, happened very fast. it took you a while to process it and by then a fire had been set in gray terminal. you had gotten a lot of smoke in your lungs and passed out after being placed in magra’s arms. you had woken up to luffy crying into your chest, his arms wrapped around your body multiple times. ace and dadan came back a few minutes later, getting luffy to unwrap your body just to wrap about ace’s.
dogra storming through the door made your head pound. the words he spoke after made it pound even harder. you froze, along with everybody else. sabo was killed. sabo was dead.  ace had begun yelling and stormed out the door, leaving dadan, mogra and dagra and a few other to run out after him. luffy latched onto you again, this time crying ever louder into your chest.
sabo’s death had encouraged all of you to work harder and get stronger. the fights continued everyday. while luffy still lost to both you and ace, yours and ace’s fights lasted longer and longer, strength evenly matched. you had picked up a metal rod once again to fight with, trying ones in different lengths to find the right one. luffy had complained that you using a weapon wasn’t fair, but stopped when you pointed out his devil fruit powers.
Tumblr media
a year after ace sat off, it had been your turn. your seventeenth birthday was celebrated with luffy, the mountain bandits, makino, and garp had dropped in for a visit. garp threatened you to become a marine, to which you answered, “no way in hell, old man.”
the fist of love hurt so much worse than you remembered. it had been years since you had gotten hit with the fist of love – unlike your brothers you had been smart enough to not say you were going to be a pirate, nor did you ever say you wanted to be a marine. you had only gotten the fist of love by association (in typical marine fashion).
after you said goodbye and thank you to the people who raised you (dadan did not cry!) you went with luffy to windmill village. luffy kept waving until you were out of sight. when dawn island had left your sight, you had taken a minute to breath and take in the ocean, shivers ran through you when it hit you you were all alone in the big ocean. taking out ace’s bounty picture from your bag, you smiled at it. should you find him?
you had thought back to when you were fifteen and ace made a bet with you who would meet red haired shanks first. both of you wanted to thank him for saving luffy’s life, so why not make a bet out of it! ace had claimed loudly. you laughed and agreed, shaking hands on it. you should look for the famed pirate, meeting him before ace… it was a matter of pride.
before you met red haired shanks, you met a young woman who was on the verge of tears at all times. she had spoken loudly and shakily about how she wanted to see the world and asked you to take her with you. you agreed — she was pretty and a good cook. you had asked her if she knew how to fight and showed her a gun you had nicked from someone, she burst into tears and clung to you, begging you to put it away. you sighed loudly. both she and you were lucky you knew how to fight.
while docking at a random island, she saw a huge ship and pirate flag. she clung to you, much like luffy had the occasional nights he had nightmares, crying about how you were going to die.
your eyes widened when you saw the flag; a skull with three lines over an eye and knives for bones — the red haired pirates. you began walking towards the ship while she drug her heels into the dirt to stop you. it didn’t work, after all, she was pretty weak.
talking to shanks was easy. when you first approached, the crew had been weary, your face had been plastered on newspapers and bounty posters for the past few months. “have you met a man named ace?” you asked, while her sniffles got quieter and quieter.
“i have not.”
you had a small celebration. fuck yeah, you won! as soon as you mentioned luffy, his and his crew's demeanors changed. he asked if you and your companion wanted to travel with them for a while, to which you denied. you wanted to do things your way and you’re pretty sure she would have a heart attack from all the men. he laughed and said it was okay.
meeting the whitebeard pirates was also a coincidence. you were in the middle of beating down a man for inappropriately touching her when the first and third division commanders came around the corner. marco, you later learned his name was, had asked if everything was okay, to which she jumped to him, shaking his arm, crying about how both you and the guy were going to die.
thatch acted quickly while marco tried his best to console her. thatch grabbed you by the waist, pulling you from the bloody guy. after they had made sure the guy wasn’t dead, they dragged you and her to the bar their crew had chosen for the night. thatch had you sit on a chair and she let go of marco to fuss over you and your bloody knuckles.
you had just drowned a glass of sake when you were tackled into a hug, ace’s familiar scent engulfing you. he had laughed happily and dragged you over to meet whitebeard. you found it sweet he called him pops. ace fit right in with the whitebeard pirates – it made you smile. ace had told you about his old crew – the spade pirates – and how he fought jimbei and whitebeard. you nearly fell off your chair laughing when he told you about all the times he was thrown overboard for trying to kill the man who became his captain.
you and your companion were dragged along with the whitebeard pirates. ace had taken it upon himself to tie your ship to moby dick and brought you along. when the other whitebeard pirates learned you grew up with their second division commander, they begged for embarrassing stories. after telling them about how much of a bully young ace was, ace stood up and loudly defended himself.
“you literally spat on luffy the first time you met.”
he got red and quieted down after that and the others got a great laugh. when it got time for the party to stop, she went back to your ship while you went with ace. you heard a few whistles when he dragged you with him to where he slept but neither of you had paid it any mind. you had forgotten how nice it was to sleep next to ace; he had always been your personal heater and since eating the flame-flame fruit he’s gotten even better at his job. he scowled when you told him that, you laughed in return.
you met luffy and his crew right after stealing some shit from a marine ship. unlike with ace, you saw him first and called out his name. luffy had stared at you blankly for a moment like he hadn’t been clinging to you at any given moment growing up. the pretty orange-haired girl beside him asked who you were. the strawhat wearing boy lit up and stretched his arms out, wrapping them around you before catapulting himself onto you, knocking you to the ground.
luffy introduced you to his crew. “this is my sister!” he grinned proudly, arms still wrapped around you. ”SISTER!?” was the main response he got in return. a guy with swirly eyebrows that looked strangely familiar fell to the ground with a bloody nose. you thought it would be best to keep him from her.
luffy forced you to stay for dinner and told you about all his adventures – about vivi and alabasta, about an island in the sky, about destroying ennis lobby. nothing he said was a surprise to you. the fact that you remained unfazed by luffy stories clearly disturbed some of his crew members, namely nami and usopp. you giggled and explained how luffy had always been that kind of person, that did not seem to surprise any of them.
Tumblr media
the words on the newspaper had been staring you down. portgas d. ace sentenced to be executed. they didn’t register in your mind. she asked if everything was alright, reading the paper when you didn’t answer. “ace… your brother.” you nodded. as if on cue your den den mushi rang. it was marco. he caught you up on everything that had happened and how ace got caught by the marines before asking if you wanted to help the whitebeard pirates and their allies free ace. you agreed and set course using marco’s vivre card. she calmly tried to talk you out of it but you shot her down. this was your brother, your older brother, your only living older brother. you couldn’t lose him. she pulled you in for a hug when a few tears escaped your eyes and made you promise not to do anything irrational and come back alive.
seeing ace on top of the execution platform didn’t do anything good for your heart. your self assured brother had looked so defeated, you didn’t like it at all. you stood beside marco. he put a hand on your shoulder, you guessed in an attempt to comfort you. it didn’t do much. the war broke out, cannons began shooting along with guns. you made your way through the crowd using your metal rod to hit down marines.
luffy fell from the sky. along with several dangerous people (including crocodile whom you screwed over in the past). seeing luffy brought hope to your heart. luffy was never one for giving up. he made it to the platform, punching garp on the way; the punch he threw at garp was both heartbreaking and satisfying. you had been mad at him – garp. how could he just stand by and watch when one of the kids he called his grandchild was sentenced to death.
the next few moments had happened fast. sengoku used his devil fruit, the key luffy had was broken, another key had been made by a weird guy, and fire. they landed safely on the ground and got to running. ace ran towards you and picked you up, spinning you around a few times, laughing along with luffy. when ace put you down, you had grabbed his and luffy’s hands and forced them to run.
ace had always been hotheaded. it was, you would say, his biggest weakness. so when akainu started spewing bullshit about whitebeard, you knew it was going down. it was hot being near them; ace dealt with fire and akainu lava. they argued, fought, both got pulled away from each other. you don’t really know what happened. you saw akainu about to kill luffy and your body moved on its own. “LUFFY!” you acted fast, pushing your little brother out of the way.
suddenly your chest was burning. “shit.” you muttered, falling to your knees. luffy, who came to his senses again after your push, looking at you in fear. he called your name at the same time ace did. marco took over the fight and pushed him away from you and your brothers. “(name), fuck,” ace held your body up, looking at you in shock. luffy looked stunned and he crawled over to you, eyes glued to the hole that stretched from your chest to the lower part of your stomach. he said your name again as reality began kicking in. you were dying.
your voice came out meek when you told both of them to get away from there. you thought about her, you promised to come back alive. you thought about how you never found out who your father was – whoever he was, if he was alive, you hoped he would visit your grave just once. then again, he abandoned you when you were born so he probably wouldn't. it made you sad.
blinded by rage, ace stormed over to akainu. akainu had been distracted with marco and a few other pirates so ace landed a good punch. on his knees, luffy held you up, arms wrapped around your body. he said something about staying awake, but it sounded so far away you couldn't be sure. “live a long life, luffy, okay. i love you.” luffy stammered, hugging you tighter. “ace too. will you tell him i said that?” your breathing slowed down.
damn it, you wanted to stay with your brothers for a while longer. sabo. that’s right! you’ll get to see sabo. you smiled. “good luck, future pirate king.”
luffy gasped, feeling the life leave your body. he called your name repeatedly, shaking you gently trying to wake you up. he began begging, pleading for you to open your eyes again, for you to squish his cheeks together and call him a baby. you remained still and his screaming began. ace felt his heart plummet to his stomach when the screams reached his ears. his eyes darted to where he had left you and luffy, seeing your limp body on the ground.
they were both carried off the ruins of marineford, both with heavy injuries. it took them both long to heal. both of them had somewhat self destructive means of coping in the beginning.  you were buried beside whitebeard, despite not officially being a whitebeard pirate, the old man loved you like you were. izo had the unfortunate job of informing her of your death. he hugged her through her breakdown and stayed with her for a while.
a few months after your death, ace embraced your blonde brother in front of your grave.

FOR YOU. portgas d. ace x gn!reader, 1.5k, modern au.
Tumblr media
for you ace makes playlists filled with love songs
“i’m so tired,” you muttered, trailing behind ace through the bus, holding your hand in his.
“i told you you shouldn’t have stayed up so late,” your boyfriend snickered, glancing back at you just as you yawned. he cooed internally – you were so cute.
“yeah, yeah, stop being mean,”
ace stopped by two empty seats and waited for you to sit on the window seat, “how am i mean?”
you didn’t respond, only pouted as he sat down next to you and intertwined your fingers once again. even though you had been dating for almost a year, your heart fluttered at the feeling of his hands in yours.
ace smiled when you yawned again. a blush erupted on his face when you rested your head on his shoulder and sighed in content. ace smiled and placed a soft kiss on the top of your head. a smile broke out on your face and you turned to hide your face from him. his heart beat went faster. you really were too cute. he rested his head on top of yours, allowing himself to relax into the seat.
you rested like that for a while, until the bus drove past a music store and ace remembered the gift he had prepared for you. he let out a small gasp and raised his head from yours to search through his bag.
“what’re you doing?” you asked, moving your head from his shoulder. watching as he fumbled through the bag, only to fish out his ancient looking earpods.
“hold these, please,” he handed them to you – or rather, threw them in your direction and they landed on your lap. he went back into the bag.
“what’re you looking for?”
“my phone,” ace grunted, as his hand got stuck between two thick books.
“didn’t you put it in the tiny room,”
“did it?” he opened the tiny room and saw his phone. taking it out of the room, he leaned back into the seat, “you’re a lifesaver,” plugging the earpods into his phone, handing you one of them, “take it,”
you stared at it, “ace, i love you, but if i put that in my ear i’ll get an infection,”
“you will not,” he whined, “i cleaned it yesterday,”
“did you though…?” you teased, taking the one earpod from him when he started pouting, “if i get an ear infection it’s on you,”
“stop being mean to me,” he whined.
“how am i being mean?” you quoted, earning a weak punch on the thigh.
scrapping the conversation, ace focused on his phone, opening the music app. you watched as he went directly to his newest playlist. “for my love” it was called, and from what you saw it was three hours of love songs.
“ace-”
your boyfriend cut you off, “please just listen,” his voice was shaky. the first song began and you closed your eyes, resting your head on his shoulder again. focusing on nothing other that the lyrics.
you were torn between feeling like you were going to explode and being the most peaceful you’ve ever been. your beloved ace making a playlist for you was too much for you to handle. your fingers found him, intertwining them once again. relishing in him. he was so lovely. so utterly lovely to you.
“angel,” ace gently called out, “our stop is next,” he kissed your head and watched as your eyes fluttered open. his heart was beating loudly in his chest even as he guided you through the bus and onto the street, the music still playing.
the walk was silent as well but ace wished you would say something. he had been nervous since he made the playlist – worried you would hate it. he kept his hand in yours, walking close to you.
when you stood in front of the building you called your home, you walked from ace’s side to stand in front of him. you pulled the earpod out of your ear and gave it to him, butterflies flying around in your stomach.
ace chuckled nervously, shifting his weight from foot to foot, “what did you think?” his eyes went over face, taking in the soft curl of your lips and joyful glint in your eyes. he felt shy just looking at you.
“i-” you breathed out softly, looking into his eyes, “i really like it, it’s-” you were close to tears, feeling overwhelmed, “that you, ace, i really appreciate it,”
seeing your eyes get watery, ace was quick to messily stuff the earpods into his pocket and cut your cheeks. he wiped away the few tears that left your eyes. his thumbs softly going over your cheeks, caressing them. he could see how much it meant to you, despite how little you said, “anytime, my love,”
Tumblr media
for you ace lets himself break down.
“ace, baby,” you knocked, opening the door to his room. you looked over your shoulder signaling to sabo that you could take it from here. you saw him lying on his bed all curled into himself, “oh, my love,” shutting the door behind you, you let your bag fall to the floor, and walked over to him, kneeling down beside his bed. your fingers gently brushed a few stray hairs out of his face, “hi,” you whispered, “how’re you feeling?”
“like shit,” his voice was hoarse.
you breathed out a chuckle, running your hand up and down his cheek in a calming manner. you didn’t notice the first tear that left your boyfriend's eyes, nor did you notice the second. but the third landed on your hand resting on his bed. your eyes went to his, “are you crying?”
“...no,”
“baby, i can feel your tears,”
he sniffled, moving his hand to cover his face, “so what if i am?”
he didn’t resist when your hand went to his hair, running your finger through it, “nothing. it’s okay to cry, you know,”
your gentle words made him crumble – he stopped fighting the tears and simply let the fall, soaking his pillow.
“oh, angel,” you moved over him, wrapping your arm over his waist, placing soft kisses all over his shoulders. though he had yet to stop crying, the tension in his shoulders disappeared little by little, until he was completely relaxed. ace moved your had from his stomach to his lips, pressing a kiss on it. basking in your warmth, he hugged your hand close to his chest.
“thank you,” he whispered, when the tears stopped. his body moved, turning around and burning his head in your chest, without much thought. your hand moved through his hair, nails scratching his scalp in the best way possible; it felt so nice. you felt so nice, “thank you,”
“you have nothing to apologize for, my love,”
ace’s face flushed at the nickname. he pressed himself closer to you, a soft smile on his lips, “stop it,”
placing a kiss on top of his head, your lips curled into a smile mirroring his, “never,”
Tumblr media
for you ace lets himself be soft.
the only light lighting up your room was the moon shining through the window and the muted light from your lavalamp. ace was lying beside you, his head on the pillow you bought just for him. he was facing the ceiling, you the same.
thoughts were whirling around ace’s head – all of them, relating to you in one way or another. he felt so utterly calm in the moment, lying with you on your bed, wide awake when you should be sleeping. it filled him with a sense of comfort he’s only ever felt with you.
his eyes went to you while yours focused on the glow-in-the-dark stickers the two of you had spent the entire afternoon putting up. (ace had been close to losing an eye multiple times). you were so pretty, with your lovely eyes and charming smile that ace had come to love more than anything else. his emotions began to overwhelm him – he loved you more than he had ever loved anything before, and it was scaring him.
“you mean the world to me,” the words were spoken before ace had a chance to comprehend it, let alone stop them from leaving him. his face flushed immediately and he buried his face in your pillow, missing the smile growing on your face.
you laid on your side, do you would be facing him if it weren’t for the pillow, “ace,” your voice a whisper as to not break the atmosphere. your hand going to his shoulder, “you mean the world to me, too,”
his heartbeat picked up, beating loudly in his chest. he moved his face from the pillow, “really?” his voice came out small and shaky. as if he was afraid you’d laugh at him.
brushing his hair out of his face, you hummed in conformation, eyes trailing over his face. your eyes ended up meeting his – it was your turn to grow shy. his eyes wandered around your face like yours had done his.
you pulled yourself closer to him, resting your head on his chest. his heart was beating fast, it made you smile. ace’s hand went to your arm, his fingers brushing up and down in a steady rhythm. he loved being close to you.
“i love you,” you muttered, wrapping his arms around you and closing your eyes.
ace sighed in content, pressing you closer to him, “i love you, too, my love,”

“ace too. will you tell him i said that?” your breathing slowed down.
damn it, you wanted to stay with your brothers for a while longer. sabo. that’s right! you’ll get to see sabo. you smiled. “good luck, future pirate king.”
luffy gasped, feeling the life leave your body. he called your name repeatedly, shaking you gently trying to wake you up. he began begging, pleading for you to open your eyes again, for you to squish his cheeks together and call him a baby. you remained still and his screaming began. ace felt his heart plummet to his stomach when the screams reached his ears. his eyes darted to where he had left you and luffy, seeing your limp body on the ground.
they were both carried off the ruins of marineford, both with heavy injuries. it took them both long to heal. both of them had somewhat self destructive means of coping in the beginning.  you were buried beside whitebeard, despite not officially being a whitebeard pirate, the old man loved you like you were. izo had the unfortunate job of informing her of your death. he hugged her through her breakdown and stayed with her for a while.
a few months after your death, ace embraced your blonde brother in front of your grave.

you had just drowned a glass of sake when you were tackled into a hug, ace’s familiar scent engulfing you. he had laughed happily and dragged you over to meet whitebeard. you found it sweet he called him pops. ace fit right in with the whitebeard pirates – it made you smile. ace had told you about his old crew – the spade pirates – and how he fought jimbei and whitebeard. you nearly fell off your chair laughing when he told you about all the times he was thrown overboard for trying to kill the man who became his captain.
you and your companion were dragged along with the whitebeard pirates. ace had taken it upon himself to tie your ship to moby dick and brought you along. when the other whitebeard pirates learne you grew up with their second division commander, they begged for embarrassing stories. after telling them about how much of a bully young ace was, ace stood up and loudly defended himself.
”SISTER!?” was the main response he got in return. a guy with swirly eyebrows that looked strangely familiar fell to the ground with a bloody nose. you thought it would be best to keep him from her.
luffy forced you to stay for dinner and told you about all his adventures – about vivi and alabasta, about an island in the sky, about destroying ennis lobby. nothing he said was a surprise to you. the fact that you remained unfazed by luffy stories clearly disturbed some of his crew members, namely nami and usopp. you giggled and explained how luffy had always been that kind of person, that did not seem to surprise any of them.

the words on the newspaper had been staring you down. portgas d. ace sentenced to be executed. they didn’t register in your mind. she asked if everything was alright, reading the paper when you didn’t answer.

FIGUREHEAD WOMAN. whitebeard pirates x f!reader, 0.5k
Tumblr media
“are there any women aboard?” ace asked, pushing the vegetables off his plate and onto izos.
“stop that,” izo scolded, pushing them back to ace, “you need some vegetable in you,”
marco hummed, “not other than the nurses, no. why do you ask?”
“i just saw somebody last night — on the figure head, i think it was a woman,” ace stuffed his mouth with meat, “she was pretty,” his words were muffled. preoccupied with food, ace didn’t notice the way those around him looked at him with pure amusement.
“is that so?” thatch sat down beside marco with a plate of his own.
ace nodded, “real pretty actually. she had this white jacket thingy on,”
the men at the table froze at those words. izo cleared his throat when nobody else spoke, ”… a haori?”
ace nodded, “yeah one of those! and it had these pretty black details on,” he shoved a fruit into his mouth, “she gave me a big smile! and then she disappeared,” he paused, “A GHOST!? DID I SEE A GHOST?!”
had the others not been as dumbfounded as they were, they would’ve all laughed at ace’s outburst and fearful face.
“(name)...” thatch whispered, disbelief all over his face. there was no way. marco, izo, and thatch made eye contact, all of them in shock. there was no way ace knew who you were. you died long before he even set off to sea, there was only one picture of you on the ship and it was in a corner of whitebeard’s room, and because there were a lot of painful memories tied to you, no one really talked about you anymore.
there was simply no way ace knew about you and least of all your favorite piece of clothing. the white haori had been your trademark for the marines and other pirates. “it was a gift,” you had smiled, holding the fabric close to your chest, “i promised to keep it safe,”
ace swallowed the food in his mouth, “why’re you guys so quiet?”
marco blinked a few tears away.
“was it actually a ghost?”
“it was (name),” izo said. if ace was going to be a member of the whitebeard pirates he should know about you, “she was the second division commander,”
“where is she now? you said there weren’t any women aboard,”
“she’s dead.”
ace’s mouth fell open. despite his curiosity, he decided not to keep asking, the quiver in izo’s voice told him it was a sensitive subject. silence filled the air, the three veteran pirates taking deep breaths to calm themselves.
thatch stood up, “she died a long time ago, ace, don’t worry about it,” he left quickly, izo following shortly after without saying anything. ace looked at marco.
marco sighed, “don’t mind them. (name)’s somewhat of a sensitive subject,”
“why?”
“... you said you saw her on the figurehead,”
ace nodded.
huffing out a smile, marco’s eyes went to a dent in the table, “the figurehead was her favorite spot on the ship. she was there a few hours everyday, usually during sunrise and early morning,”
“why do you think i saw her?” the freckled asked after a while.
marco shrugged, smiling softly, “maybe she wanted to see the new second division commander,” he stood up, tapping the table twice, “remember to put your plate in the kitchen,”

GHOSTLY LOVE. bang chan x f!ghost!reader, 0.7k
Tumblr media
chan pushed the door to the astronomy tower open and shut it behind him. inhaling and exhaling deeply. he was tired both mentally and physically and was in need of a breather., and the astronomy tower seemed like the perfect place to do so.
he paused on the spot when the sound of footsteps gliding across the stone floor, “shit,” he whispered under his breath, moving quickly to press himself against the wall. his eyes shut for a moment, praying it wasn’t a professor or the janitor; he would be in serious trouble if it was, being out of bed after curfew was severely punishable. peeking around the corner, he saw a blue-ish colored figure moving - dancing - around calmly. a ghost. he sighed in relief.
seeing ghosts around the school was nothing unusual. they could be seen anywhere, sometimes even in the bathrooms and the sleeping quarters. it was just something you got used to - seeing ghosts. thinking about it, chan had never seen or even heard about a ghost in the astronomy tower. his eyebrows furrowed together and he sent a silent prayer that you wouldn’t rat him out about being out of bed after curfew, before stepping out from behind the wall.
for a moment he remained silent, simply watching you twirl around while humming a song chan knew he had heard before. you were a beautiful sight, uniform skirt swirling around you almost hypnotizing him. he didn’t even notice you stopped twirling and looked right at him.
“hello,”
chan sputered, heat rising to his cheeks, “hi,” he settled on, taking another step away from the wall and closer to you.
you smiled to him, “are you a student here?”
“yeah, yeah. are you?” his breath hitched, “i mean- were you? sorry,”
luckily for chan, you found humor in his mistake and flustered state. you giggled, “i was, yes,”
“cool,”
‘cool’... could he sound more stupid? chan felt like slamming his head into the wall. he groaned, “that’s not- i didn’t mean it like…” he sighed.
this time you laughed, “it’s fine, i promise,”
after a moment of silence, chan found the courage to speak again, “are you here often? i’ve never heard about a ghost up here,”
you hummed, rising from the ground, “i’m mostly here during the night or when there are no classes. i’ve never been big on people,”
“yeah, same,” what a lie; he was friends with nearly everyone in the school and was the very definition of extroverted.
you laughed again, “i don’t show myself often but that doesn't mean i’m not here. i know who you are, bang chan,”
chan coughed awkwardly, wanting to change the subject badly, “what’s with the flower crown?” he vaguely pointed to the top of your head where a pretty flower crown was placed. you raised a hand to touch it, subconsciously smiling, “i’m not sure, i don’t remember,”
chan took note of how your voice softened.
“i think someone i loved gave it to me,” your eyes returned to the male in front of you, going over his face. you tilted your head, “you know, you kinda look like him,”
“i-i do?”
“yeah,” your eyes softened, taking the flower crown from your head and holding it between your fingers. you barely remembered getting it, only faint flash memories of a boy your age putting it on your head with a loving smile, “but i barely remember,”
chan couldn't help the pounding of his heart. you sounded so lovely, lovely and lonely. there was a longing in your voice, the same type of longing you could find in all ghosts voices.
“you said you got it from someone who loved you,”
you looked away from the flower crown and to him. the memory of the boy smiling at you coming back. you nodded.
“did you love him, too?”
placing it on your head again, another memory - a new memory - came to you. one of you smiling at the boy and kissing his cheek after pulling him into a hug. a warm feeling spread in your chest. looking into chan’s eyes, you nodded, “yeah,, i think i did,”
