I'm just gonna give a little update on me. This blog, for now, is dead. I may return to it one day but for now it's gone. I got put on new meds and I'm finally dealing with my alcoholism. I don't have the patience to talk about things I like anymore, really. Not like I used to.

Guys, I have bad news. The thing that made me unique from every other Tumblr kid is gone. That's right, I started listening to Tally Hall.

It sucks that the prequel Plinkett reviews are so good and stand the test of time (minus some of the humor and racist takes) but his sequel reviews are just.
Nothing.
If you watch the prequels and then immediately follow it up with the review, his complaints are valid and showcase what's wrong with the movies. For the sequels?
If you watch TFA and TLJ, then follow it up with the Plinkett review for TLJ (and Star Wars Awakens video I guess) it's blatantly obvious Mike just didn't bother watching each movie more than once.
Like wow homie. You clearly gave one of these trilogies more attention than the other. And you chose the worst one.

I liked the Scott Pilgrim anime. I liked that they still had the Metric song, used the video game music band, how it's actually a sequel to the comic but starts off as an adaptation (that can also function as a sequel to the film adaptation), I like how it fleshed out every character but Scott (which is good because he's the only one who gets most focus originally), I like that Scott likes sonic which makes him literally me except the bad stuff, I like how the cast for the film came back, I like that Todd is now gay, I like that Chris Evans did the same voice. But most of all,
The main thing I like,
Is that as soon as Scott "dies",
Everyone starts winning

My current theory is Spider-Man 3 ruined everything for Eddie. That movie wasn't, very good. A large amount of complaints were about how Eddie was under developed and how Harry was underutilized. A common fan "rewrite" idea was to remove Eddie and make Harry Venom (instead of New Goblin or whatever). This idea actually would've worked in that movie, but Marvel seems to have learned the wrong lesson.
Now, in every cartoon (at least as far as I recall) released after Spider-Man 3, Harry is Venom. Then there's this new game where Harry is Venom too. The only place where Eddie is Venom outside the comics, is the Sony made movies.
Because Marvel gave up on Eddie outside the comics as soon as the bad reviews for Spider-Man 3 started.
Here's my single hottest Marvel/ Spider-Man take.
Venom has been perfected by the Tom Hardy movies
When I was a kid, I liked Venom because "Oh he's a scary Monster alien who looks like Spider-Man". I liked the character the same way I like an evil clone. Not as his own person.
Then Venom came out, and I loved him. He was a relatable loser. People bitched about it, but then I went back and looked... Venom originally was a relatable hunky loser. Venom is a himbo. That's how personality. A loveable goofball with cannibalism issues and an alien boyfriend. That's what he is and he works best that way.
The Venom movies, while not being perfect, imho, have perfectly captured the characters of Venom and Eddie.
Then you have bullshit like Spider-Man 3 and Sony's Insomniac's Marvel's Spider-Man 2 where... He's just a scary monster man. With no personality other than "look out its evil Spider-Man". But like. If you guys want an evil monster who looks like Venom and has no morals... Carnage exists? But nah. They'd rather character assassinate a himbo then to let an actual serial killer be used in a super hero story. It's fucked up.

Screw Secret Invasion, Marvel's Andor is now Loki.
A two season limited series that came out at the lowest lows of the franchise and had a self continued brilliant story about a selfish guy learning to gain the courage to save the universe. With no cross overs and no references to other material in the same continuity.
Andor is better though but damn Loki was good glad it actually ended properly. More shows should do that.

A friend and I thought of a head canon for how the Mandalorian era Empire operates, here it is:
We know that the Imperials operate from a shadow council, however this council doesn't appear to make much sense? Commandants, Captains, Admirals and at least one Moff sits on this council. However, the group worries about a lack of leadership. When uh, there's a hierarchy to these ranks? You have leaders. Its the Moff(s). They outrank you. But clearly, within the Shadow Council meeting we see, the ranks don't matter. Everyone seems to be working within the same plan, but they all have their own goings on.
Gideon wants to make a clone army of himself with Force powers, Hux wants to clone palpatine (or something to that effect, it's super unclear lmao), Pellaeon wants to jerk Thrawn off and the rest want to just get rich and fat.
We also see that dispute Gideon being a Moff, he doesn't have a Star Destroyer. In fact, the only person within this time frame we see with one is Thrawn, the character who's been exempt from the main galaxy for about 10 years.
The explanation my friend and I thought of was, maybe the New Republic didn't allow the Imperials to have Star Destroyers, due to how fucking dangerous they are. The New Republic and what remained of the Empire signed a peace treaty, so it's very likely part of that was "You guys can keep your ships but anything larger than a Star Destroyer is a no-no", hence why a Moff has only a light cruiser. Maybe part of this deal too was that these individual "leaders" allowed to keep these ships is they aren't supposed to interact. Hence why the Shadow Council is such a hidden thing.
Because one Moff/Commander/Captain/Commandant/Admiral with a Light Cruiser isn't an issue, but SEVERAL of them with SEVERAL Light Cruisers is. That's also why everyone within the council gets treated as a leader, they have very little ships and manpower so they HAVE to play nice with everyone.
Thrawn coming back would easily get their support, due to them having heard legends of his genius, him having the only Star Destroyer and him having an insane amount of men working under him. That's why Thrawn, someone under Gideon in rank, would be looked to more for leadership than Gideon himself.
Just a thought I'm sure some book already has an explanation but this is my headcanon based off the EXTREMELY limited information.

The more cast members get announced for Superman Legacy the more I do not care to see it. I went from really hyped for this Superman reboot to "why the fuck are they cramming in every C-List superhero into a fucking Superman movie. Just say who Superman is and who the villain is. That's all we need"
Except, nah. As far as we know, this movie doesn't even have an antagonist. But it does have Metamorpho and Mr Terrific! Finally, no one's favorite superheroes come to the big screen... In a Superman movie.
Whatever, at least My Adventures with Superman is peak fiction atm.

Alright, I'll say it. The unfortunate truth is, no one person can just forgive Idubbz. He cannot be told "It's alright, I'm aware you've grown and changed and it's good you regret it". His actions were too large. Too vague. Too mean. He didn't hurt one group. He gave rise to racism, misogynistic and incel culture. He didn't just hurt one person, he gave rise to hatred world wide.
Even if it wasn't his intent, he did.
What's good, is that he clearly hates the people he inspired to be hateful. He's clearly at the point where he's done hiding his feelings about it and is ready to tell them off and attempt to make up for it. He wants his legacy to be more than just slurs and the farming of evil. Tana Mongeau seems to have forgiven him (or at least understands he's changed a bit) and that's good. That's the closest he'll get to a "one person was hurt" apology. What he did to her was genuinely disturbing, even more so than the rest of the people he went after.
Unfortunately, the damage is already done. Those people, those kids he accidentally helped turn into Nazis, are Nazis. Nothing he does now really matters, plus with how the alt right is, they'll assume he changed because the "woke mob" made him. However that's clearly not the case. He changed because he wanted to. It's obvious in hearing him talk about it in his apology. He's truly horrid with his past actions and hates himself. He wants to move on just like the rest of us. His motivation is noble but that won't matter to the upcoming "anti-SJW" losers that will use his change as a martyr.
What really pisses me off tho is this video, where every white stoner guy's favorite unfunny YouTuber acts as if forgiving Idubbz is entirely up to him and what he did wasn't that bad. Idubbz said slurs, attacked and bullied people online (sometimes to the point the victim has left the internet entirely) and even spent hundreds of dollars just to harass a young woman halfway across the country. That is not cool. Wake the fuck up.
It's fine if you forgive Idubbz. It's fine if you don't. But at least acknowledge he did something wrong maybe? Because he did?
Oh idk if I've forgive Idubbz but I'm a sucker for people growing up and becoming better, so I'm gonna support him as a "fan" as much as I can atm. I've seen what he can do as an enemy, I want him as an ally, yk what I mean?

Evil Dead Rise Spoilers.
-
-
-
The movie is very good. It's genuinely a fun watch. The gore is a bit torture-porn-esque but significantly less so than the 2013 movie. Humor is IMMENSELY downplayed in the film compared to the original trilogy and especially Ash Vs, but it has more jokes than the 2013 movie? At least as far as I remember. It's good. Please god let this fucking movie get a sequel. The worst thing about the 2013 movie was how it never got a continuation. That movie needed a sequel to properly plant itself into people's memory of Evil Dead as a series. I am sad that we've gotten two reboots of the Evil Dead series starting from scratch and neither try to be anything other than a horror film.
Evil Dead 2 is regarded as one of the greatest films of all time because of how it's a horror-comedy. Yet for some reason whenever a new filmmaker joins this series they just make a horror movie. There's more to this series than that.
However that being said, I do understand how much content I have with silly Evil Dead. Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness and 3 seasons of Ash Vs, along with silly continuations like My Name is Bruce. So people want scary Evil Dead more than silly due to oversaturation I suppose.
ANYWAY. Now for my nerd rant.
Lore.
This movie clearly wants to be a loose continuation of the original trilogy and the 2013 movie. But uh. It kinda. Can't be? Evil Dead Rise says that there're three volumes of the Book of the Dead. This implies that the Book from this film is a separate book from the 2013 Book and the Necromancion from Ash vs and the original trilogy. But uh. This movie takes place in 2023. And uh. In Ash Vs there's a nuclear apocalypse that takes place in 2018. So I guess the movies are canon but Ash Vs isn't? And like holy shit. The demons in this movie are crazy.
The demons in the original could be defeated by bodily dismemberment or flame. In 2013 the rules are basically the same. Even for the big demon itself, the Abomination. A chainsaw could kill the top dog in that movie. In Ash Vs/the OT the demons would die from simple wounds and would dissolve from the Kandarian Dagger. The demons in EDR? They cannot be killed. It's explicitly stated they cannot be killed and the film treats that as true.
So if this is canon to the OT and/or the 2013 movie and if this gets a sequel, I expect the Dagger to appear. Something about how it's the only way to defeat the demons or whatever.
Although if Ash Vs really isn't canon then that makes me wonder how tf Bruce Campbell could return. If Sam Raimi directs another Evil Dead and Ash Vs isn't canon... What's Ash gonna be doing?
Oh right back to reviewing EDR. Every performance was great and the fact that the first gore thing to happen is a teen getting scalped rocked and that little kid who got mutilated was cool. Plus the ratking looking demon thing was baller.
Mia was a better main character tho. This one wasn't bad but uh. Jane Levi in another Evil Dead please.
Here's the best lines in the movie
"We're watching all the Freddy movies."
"Even the bad ones"
"THERE ARE NO BAD ONES"

Mandalorian Season 3 was pretty good. Significantly better than season 2 and Novel of Boob Feet but holy shit. That finale was ass.
Here's the main issues with me:
-Uhh fucking. There was setup for the New Republic to be enemies with the Mandalorians. Obviously the Mandalorian didn't bust Gideon out but how come the New Republic knew that. Why didn't they launch some kinda attack against them. Imagine if Hitler was arrested by the British, then he went missing and the only evidence lead to the French. Now a French General walks into a British military base and goes "Oh yeah I killed Hitler btw". That's basically when Din did with the New Republic it's INSANE. Ik they're lazy but that cliffhanger with the prison transport should have done something.
-So Grogu was his last name??? Why did Ahsoka ask for his last name and not his first? Does he have a first? Ik Yoda was Yoda's last name but is that a thing for his species? Was Yaddle her last name? Din Grogu is a lame name.
-They should really just recast Cara Dune her absence in this show is kinda super noticeable. Instead of Mando meeting her to ask for work with the New Republic (his old and personal friend) he went to ask a cop who pulled him over twice and asked him for a favor once. Bizarre.
-Is Gideon actually dead? If he is that's cool. I wouldn't have expected that. If not then fuck but like. What's season 4 gonna be. Why didn't Mando live on Mandalore and instead chose a house in bog. Is he stupid?
-Why was last week's episode called "The Spies". There was no spy at all. What the fuck is happening.
-Dark Saber broke which thank fucking GOD I'm over that over hyped pos. But I do wonder why Bo Katan's group follows her now. Seems like they only did it bc she had it. Now she doesn't.

The fact that Rhodey blamed Tony for Captain America chasing a ghost story that wasn't real, breaking international law and Vision accidentally crippling him is probably the single worst story choice the MCU has ever done imo.

Here is my only prediction for the Mando season 3 finale. Grogu will violently murder someone with the hands of his mech suit. IG-12 will stick his thumb into Stormtrooper's eye, pick him up by the head. He'll hold the trooper there as Grogu looks at Din. Din will nod before Grogu makes the Mech rip the Stormtrooper's head off.
Mando will be like "Grogu, you came to save me" and then Grogu will press the "Yes" button.

No no I get it, The Super Mario Bros Movie is really good. Its a better adaptation than the 1993 film and the straight to video anime. I get it.
But the 1993 film is seriously not THAT bad.
