i remember in 2018 people were saying cyprus was predicted to win, and every cypriot person ever said: "dude where are we gonna hold the contest if we win?"😭

people started creating memes about who's gonna host, where it's gonna be held, that we were gonna take a loan from everyone and go bankrupt.. it was awesome

i think at the end the government was thankful we didn't win cause they were stressed😭

people on the tl defending sweden's win: we don't hate loreen, we actually liked her. but the thing is, sweden has been known for getting huge love from the juries and that's the thing that we dislike the most. finland won by a lot from people's vote and there's a reason for that. i don't condone people sending hate to loreen cause she's an amazing artist who did a huge thing today and congrats to her!

but we're allowed to feel angry at the blatant favorism(it's been going on for years even when the songs were mid somehow sweden was always at the top5/10), not only for finland but for other countries as well who've never had the same treatment as sweden. smaller countries who try and try every year only to end up at the bottom again no matter how good or bad the song was.

we aren't angry at the whole country of course(assuming no shady deals took place) cause eurovision is not eurovision without sweden.

just wanted to share some thoughts because i saw some angry posts.
