A new Kaitou Joker serialization entitled Kaitou Joker Encore will begin releasing online (RAW) on April 15!

Today I summoned three non-focus 5-star characters (Hardin, Citrinne, and Gilliam) and one focus character, Neimi, with free summons! None of these are characters I particularly care about (Hardin is decent and I could see myself liking Citrinne once I play Engage,) but I will take free 5-star characters anytime.

I gave my last vote to my favorite Fire Emblem character, Jakob! He’s been in Heroes since launch, and while he received an alt (several years ago,) unlike with Felicia, it’s not a good alt and the art is lackluster. I hope he gets something better in 2024.
This Choose Your Legends is unusual in that it is the first time I voted for a different character each day. While I didn’t intend this, it occured to me that each character I voted for has some trait in common with the character next to it on either side. Marisha and Legault are among the few Fire Emblem characters who don’t get happy endings at the end of their games, but that isn’t nearly as obvious as the other common traits.

My Fire Emblem Heroes most wanted bingo card for 2024! It spirals out from my most wanted character in the center, Shura, to Castor in the bottom right corner. Follow the turquoise lines.
Only two characters on my 2023 bingo card were added, so I only added two more, Hisame and Marisha, two characters I think are underrated. I forgot to add Caspar last year, so I switched out Vika with him. I was tempted to add older/Binding Blade Karel, but as much as I’d like to see him in some form in Heroes (though preferably on a New Heroes banner so he can have a Forging Bonds conversation where he has to deal with the fact his younger, crazier version has been in Askr for years and the other Heroes have their opinion of older Karel tainted by that) he isn’t really a separate character.
For the first day, I casted a vote for Shura like I usually do. I’m somewhat confident that Shura will appear on the next Fates banner (even if as a Grand Hero Battle character) so I don’t want to use all my votes on him. I’ll probably give Rickard a vote or two, since he’s one of my favorite Archanean characters. While I think his chances of appearing on the next Archanea banner are decent, I’m less confident about this than with Shura and the next Fates banner.
Other candidates I’m considering giving votes to are Marisha (same reasons as Rickard,) Jakob (my favorite Fire Emblem character and he desperately needs a good alt or at the very least a Resplendent form,) Peri (one of my favorite Fates characters and she is very overdue for an alt,) Karel and Legault (my two favorite Blazing Blade characters by a significant margin, and they’re both overdue for alts, although I’m pretty confident Karel will be on the spring banner this year. The question is whether it will be Binding Blade or Blazing Blade Karel. I’d be happy with either.) If Azura is doing well at midterms, I may give a vote to her hoping that she may win this year.

2023 was in some ways a worse year for me in Fire Emblem Heroes than 2022 was, and in some ways better. Two characters that I wanted were added (magenta, and like last year they were added at the end of the year) and three made it in as alts (pink.) The turquoise lines show the order from most wanted to least of the top 25 on the card.
It’s a shame that Kieran didn’t debut with Ascended Elincia; that would have been a perfect way to introduce him. Hayato would have been a great fit for the Wind Tribe banner, but the fact he wasn’t there leads me to suspect he will be on the next Fates banner. In fact, I can totally see the next Fates banner being Hoshido/Birthright themed and including Scarlet, Hayato (probably as a demote,) maybe Izana, maybe Sakura for the Ascended/Rearmed/Attuned character and Shura or Kotaro as the Grand Hero Battle character.
Unlike 2022, there were almost no “honorable mention” characters. The only one I can think of is Felix. Also, only two characters that I wanted Resplendent forms for, Female Corrin and Shigure, got them. The silver lining is that Camilla (finally) got a Legendary alt, Elincia got both a Legendary and Ascended alt (although I wish these hadn’t been released in the same year) and both Female Corrin and Soren were Choose Your Legends Winners!
I’ll post my most wanted characters for 2024 in the near future. Truth be told, the list didn’t change that much from 2023.

I summoned these two/three off the Double Special Heroes banner last week. I really like the spring festival aesthetic. It's one of my favorite seasonal banners. In a couple months, I hope we get a spring Karel to complete Karla's family (since Bartre and Fir also have spring alts.) I have a feeling if that happens it will be older Karel (like how winter Zephiel is younger Zephiel) but either version would be fine with me.
I'll post my "most wanted bingo card" for 2024 and a collection of lucky summons from throughout 2023 in the near future.

To make up for my abysmal luck on the Legendary Elincia banner and one of the Harvest Festival rerun banners (I STILL don’t have Harvest Festival Jakob) I had fantastic luck on the Legendary Camilla banner. Not only am I happy that my favorite Fire Emblem character now has a (long overdue) Legendary alt with some fascinating skills that I’m looking forward to using, but I summoned her on my second summon!
This also lets me save plenty of orbs for the upcoming New Heroes banners, which will likely be Fates, Archanea or Tellius, and probably any of those choices will have characters I’ll want to summon.

I improvised this silver fox costume today with items I already had and a mask and ears I bought at Spirit Halloween on the way home from work. I'm not usually this late with Halloween, but October 2023 has been such a busy month for me. Not bad for something I came up with at the last minute!

I had horrible luck on the Legendary Elincia banner up until my 33rd summon. From there until my 40th summon where I sparked for Legendary Elincia, I received Rearmed Chrom (whose Arcane Devourer is destined for my Karel) and TWO Legendary Hinoka! Neither Hinoka has good assets, so one will more than likely pass on Wings of Mercy 4 and Atk/Spd Catch 4 to my Jakob.

Now I have 500 Miis in my Mii Plaza! From the same group I just met, I also met a Mii on his or her birthday for the first time. I’m surprised that took so long to happen.
These days, I rarely bring my Nintendo 3DS with me when I travel. I used to bring my Nintendo 3DS with me virtually everywhere, and in recent years I’ve just brought it to conventions, airports and other areas with large crowds.

Feh’s Summer Celebration started today. I’m immensely disappointed by the upcoming Special Heroes banner. The phantom thief banner will not return, which also means there won’t be a Phantom Thief Julian to complement my Phantom Thief Rickard. The tea banner, which like the phantom thief banner is something I had theorized about quite some time before either banner launched, had the gall not to include Jakob or even Felicia.
Some of this was made up for when I summoned the Black Knight on my first free summon on the Hero Fest banner! I had hoped to get him last December.

I summoned Felix with my free summon! This makes up for my unusually abysmal luck on the last banner I summoned on, which exhausted my supply of 180 Orbs. He isn’t my favorite Three Houses character (I’m still waiting for Dorothea to appear not as an alt, and I’m disappointed Ashe was not on this banner,) but Felix is still one of a fairly small number of characters that I like.

Not long after Lilith, I summoned another Fates character I really like and have wanted for years, Selkie! Better yet, I got her with a free summon on the focus banner she appeared on!

After a good two years, I finally have normal Lilith! She’s also +Attack. It only took five summons, and I got two other 5-star characters along the way! I gained Marianne from the free summon (I love getting featured characters from free summons) and Hinoka as a 4-star special immediately after! This makes up for a long dry spell on another recent summoning spree.

I put all of my Choose Your Legends votes towards Shura this year. I didn’t want any nonsense like last year where if I had used all of my votes for him, he would have been in the Top 200 (he was in 200th, and those two votes would have pushed him to 199th place, tying with Meg and Ricken.) I might have voted for Soren or Female Corrin except that they may or may not be in the Top 3, since the entire Top 20 were announced, but not in order.
After the 2022’s extremely underwhelming second-gen Fates banner (No Ascended Shigure? No Sophie? No Percy as the GHB? This would have been the perfect opportunity!) I want more story-important Fates characters added to Heroes. My interest in having Rickard in Heroes has waned slightly, due to his alt last year. I love the phantom thief theme and aesthetic (in general, I’m very fond of phantom thieves,) and he’s a great unit. I moved Kieran and several other characters up. It’s been years since Oscar was added; where is his superior red counterpart? A few characters also shifted down for various reasons.
Speaking of story-important Fates characters, I added Kotaro, who is still weirdly absent from the Choose Your Legends voting list despite the likes of Candace and the other Paralogue-exclusive bosses appearing, and even a dancer NPC who appears in one chapter. He has an interesting role in the story in Fates, and he isn’t that minor of a villain, so I was disappointed not to see him.

Ouch. 2022 was not a good year for me in Fire Emblem Heroes. Only three New Heroes (magenta) and three alts (pink) were on my card. Most the characters added were lackluster, though I was happy to see Legendary Xander, Resplendent Male Corrin, Hatari Azura and Leanne, Thief Festival Rickard and Sothe, Resplendent Gaius, Young Soren, Day of Devotion Lissa, Ninja Camilla and a couple others.
The plus side is that I saved up close to 500 Orbs by the end of the year, and 2023 is already looking to be a better year. I have New Year’s Panne, I’m going after Khadein Soren in the next Tempest Trials, and Female Corrin will have a Resplendent form in a couple weeks!
Like last year, where Wolf and Vika were “honorable mentions” (I wanted them, but didn’t have space for them on the card,) I count Elice and Kiragi as honorable mentions. That brings my total to eight characters I wanted that were added to Heroes.
Next I’m going to post my Most Wanted list for 2023!
