there will always be something satisfying in the symbolizm of haircutting scenes; when the character chooses to embrace the new role in society they are going to play.
Conversely, growing out your hair is also impeccable symbolism, but you can’t exactly make it as snappy and cool as mulans one slash perfect bob special

Sometimes you're engaged to be married to your childhood friend and while you're not opposed to the idea on principle, something's not right.
Later, it turns out both of you were gay and gender non-conforming which clears up a lot of things.
Or, Lila and Stefan, before and after they figured out what's going on with them.

Guess whos back on his tma bullshit babyyyyyyyyy
What I am expecting for The Magnus Protocol is for it to fuck hard, be nasty and come out with thigh slappers like “Statement from Joe Spooky regarding sinister happenings”
and so far Alice has not disappointed.
Sketch of Colin (king) and Alice (queen), with Alice being loosely inspired by @lonelyslutavatar ‘s impeccable design. I think no matter how hard I try, that Alice will never get out of my head while listening.

i dont know what i imagined but. Yeah dead on
face claim from now on i guess:
i’m genuinely disgruntled that the Murderbot diaries are this good. I’ve been seeing too many people praise the books so to find out theres something praise worthy and I’ve been holding out on them for nothing is very humbling
all that is to say i love secunit and if anything bad happens to it ill start crying. Probably at my office desk where ive been listening to the audiobooks to beat the ennui

Just finished the fourth novella, someone hold me. Technically I know Murderbot prefers big jackets and tshirts, but I'm deliberately ignoring that in favour of silly anime outfits that expose its arms. The text is secondary to serving CUNT

Being a rogue murderbot on the run is really tough when all you want to do is watch your serials but everywhere you go there’s nice helpless humans to aide and robots to befriend

Was idly scrolling through @gaenzlichtot blog and found this old fanart I drew 6-7 years ago (What the fuck what the fuck what the fuck)
Decided to quickly sketch a redraw while my phone was charging, ended up sweating over it for longer than intended. The power of procrastination
The original is also under the cut. Had to link it to my friends blog, because I did a purge of all my aftg fanart in a fit of pique like five years ago

Listened to the first audiobook of the Will Darling adventures and enjoyed it more than I did when I was reading it for the first time. That happens a lot with KJ Charles books, so I shouldn't have been surprised.
What I love most about the writing though has always been the description of Kim as looking like a nervous greyhound. Couldn't really get past it.
I tried my best to make him look as oblong and tense as those dogs look.
Whereas Will is just. Some Blond English Guy. What a pair.

The best part about Think of England for me has always been the dynamic between Archie and Pat, and Daniel and Fen.
KJ Charles writes female side characters like no one else, and I always get excited every time they come up in the book or they interact with the main characters.
when they’re center stage in their own book however…well…

Archie Curtis and Daniel da Silva from “Think of England”.
Think of england remains my favourite KJC book. The characters have stayed with me for 6 years now and aren’t budging from the space theyve reserved in my brain. Anyway heres to the toe girlies if you guys are even still around.
