Apparently, Twitch.tv is withdrawing from my country entirely. No streaming, no content creating, no fun.

This has been predicted by many people before, as not only Twitch, but other internet streaming/broadcasting services from outside of Korea have been complaining that we ask for too much fee. Not even our own service platforms were sustainable from that much fee.

10 times more than any other countries, the entirety of creators who relied on streaming on Twitch are now JOBLESS, but the internet providing companies and the IT ministry doesn't care.

I am at the beach. Not many people are around, and the view is fantastic. I can finally enjoy the peace.

Suddenly, I notice a shine glancing at my eyes. It catches my attention. I walk up to the source and find out it was a small glass jar, with nothing in it but a small geode.

I get curious and crack the geode. It suddenly makes a whirling noise with intense scarlet wind coming out of it. I dropped it from surprise.

In front of me lies a cracked geode, smoking something out. It's a person. It's like Genie from the Magic Lamp from the Allibaba story.

"My name is Amel, a wish fairy from the bottom of the Earth. You freed me, I will grand you a wish."

I am surprised but got my shit together soon after. I had to think: What would be the ultimate wish of my life?

I think for a moment and said, "I wish to be a better person."

"Wish granted!" He says. And then i woke up from the bed in my room. It was morning.

Later that day, I found out the world turned a lot more shittier than yesterday. Like, a lot. Murder rate has gone up 500%, robbery is too common, the words coming out from people's mouths are more foul and mixed with hatred and distrust.

Then I realized. His wish was a monkey paw, and everyone except me has become worse as I stay the same.

I now know: The world can not change if I don't wish to.

The analysis of generalizing a group/society from certain stereotypical ideas

In this essay, I will try to explain how terrible the world is with generalizing random groups/society. This theory is not exclusive to small parties like a school circle or a discord chat room dedicated for a famous streamer but also can apply to cities, states, even countries.

I will say, I by no means of insulting or downgrading certain groups for their activities/ideologies but rather borrow the ‘majority of the society’s’ thought process for my theoretical tumblr shitpost.

Let’s start something very obvious and impactful to help you understand better. Minecraft youtuber Dream has a shit ton of fans and anti-fans. And then there are stans. Think this way. Are all Dream fans ‘stans’? If you said yes, answer this too; Can all Dream fans be ‘stans’ both theoretically and practically?

This is like asking someone “Dude, have you heard of people who put milk first for cereal?” and answering “No, I have not because I’ve never seen one and therefore they do not exist.”

Am I a Dream fan or a stan? I stopped watching MC live streams ever since the fall of the ‘King’, if you know what I mean wink wink But I can certainly say this; [Certain stereotypical ideas that projects a single group/society should not be used to generalize them and their ideology.]

Let’s try another example.  Are all Texans crazy and bloodthirsty psychopaths who cannot stand for a second if they’re not pulling the trigger that is aiming something? I know this one is an old and rusty joke that has been dead for years but people still make fun of Texans for their laws compared to other states and how the people act in Texas, especially people from Asia.How do I know? Guess.

According to Wikipedia, mass shootings from 2020 to current time were recorded in 13 different states but the Texas is not in the list. In 2018, 19 mass shooting was occurred in whole year but it only happened in Texas once, and it did not happen again for 15 months.

I do like to state out that not everything i say could be true and make sense, but hear me out. Please stop putting innocent people into a group they don’t belong. They don’t deserve such hate. Think about hate crime. Think about the Holocaust. Think about yourselves and your friends and family. Would you be happy to see their freedom and happiness took away just because they were ‘accused’ as a part of certain society?

Stop the Generalization. Stop the hate. Start loving your neighbors. Start thinking out of the box.
