lol oh hey it’s been a minute hasn’t it 😬 so the world is on fire (I mean even more so) and I haven’t gone anywhere in like 3 weeks so I decided to break out some makeup and put it on my face!

Oh hey it’s maybe been a minute??? Anyway, we’re going out later for a holiday-themed ~event so I thought I’d do something very @spookylipsandfathips inspired! 🖤 My hair looks like garbage but OH WELL it is what it is.
I think I really like this look :D I’m liking how my face looks and the eye makeup is fun! I have a ton of fun palettes and it’s stupid to just ... never use them :p And I’m wearing a lip gloss I don’t think I’ve ever worn before lol

Hey hi hello it’s been a minute lol
Here’s the makeup I’ve most recently purchased! I’ve been trying really hard to be more selective in what I buy — I’ve got a SHIT TON of makeup already and I know better now what I like and what I’m looking for. I’m also less inclined to fall for The Hype so, like, this represents what I bought all summer 😬
So, what do we got?
🌻 ABH Sultry Eyeshadow Palette — I picked this up at TJMaxx! Pretty sure it’s been dropped or discontinued but I really like it! It’s a solid neutral palette with a pop of coral and the shimmers are super pretty.
🌻 Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter in 2 Light. This is supposed to be a primer I think?? But I use it as a highlighter and it creates such a pretty, subtle glow *v* Deffo an easy, everyday thing for me. Also I totally got it because Samantha Ravandahl keeps talking about it lol also picked up during the Sephora VIB sale
🌻 Hourglass Girl in Futurist. Idk what the full name of this is - it’s a damn lip crayon. But I’ve had the mini version for awhile and I really like it so I got the full size during Sephora’s VIB sale :T
🌻 Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush (mini) Another VIB sale pickup! I haven’t really played around with it so I can’t say too much but it looks pretty??
🌻 Physicians Formula Rosé All Day Petal Glow in Petal Pink. I’ve been eyeing these since they launched so I finally got one 🤷♀️
🌻 PÜR x Barbie lipstick in Classic. Ok see this is part of my ~growth~ as a consumer. I love this whole collab, it’s super pretty and sparkly and I do love Barbie but instead of getting everything I got one (1) lipstick to play around with and enjoy for ~the aesthetics~
🌻 Too Faced Bronzed Peach Melting Powder Bronzer in Toasted Peach. Another thing I’ve been eyeing for A While! It dropped to $10 on Sephora so I finally got it because I’m willing to spend that and take a chance, y’know?

EYELINER ✨✨✨ After a few trial runs I did eyeliner FOR REALSIES and it’s not complete garbage lol I mean, it’s deffo uneven but for a first attempt? NOT BAD. 🙌🙌
The other day I went through all my palettes and I pulled the ones I don’t really use (or have never used 👀) and put them all in one place so I can figure out what I’m gonna do with them. In that group is the Physicins Formula Butter Eyeshadow palette in Tropical Days and ... it’s not bad! Good colors, easy to blend, got a nice look with minimal effort ... I’ll have to play around with that one some more 👍

Trying out some more ~new makeup~ I went to TJ MAXX on a whim and found a new foundation for like $8! It’s a pretty good color match and I’m liking how it’s looking and wearing so far 💗 I got two ABH lip colors too but I’m not wearing either of them LOL OH WELL
The eyeshadow palette and mascara are from ipsy- I’m trying out their glambox plus thing and idk guys :/ I really think I’m going to For Reals cancel the whole thing. The eyeshadow was pretty meh - it took forever to build up and the shimmer wasn’t showing up at all. The mascara is fine tho the wand is super long and I poked myself twice in the eye with it 😖 I have gotten some nice face oils from it so at least there’s that!
Oh and I cut my hair 😬 So it’s finally all one length and all my ~natural color 💁♀️

I guess it’s finally summer out here lol I wanted to try something a little different, go for a beachy mermaidy vibe with just lots of bronzer and some highlight. I think it turned out ok???? Ulta finally got the Avengers highlight palette back in stock!! So I ordered it (and two more foundations because I’m an unstoppable monster 😈)
Anyway, just felt like playing around with New Stuff so here we are 🤷♀️ The eyeshadow palette I got from Ipsy and I’m not that impressed. Like the mattes are nice but the shimmers were disappointing :( Even with a wet brush I don’t think I got that much on my eyes. The mascara is from Ipsy, too, and it’s alright. It’s like a highend version of the Covergirl Lashblast Volume mascara and meh. I should probably cancel Ipsy tbh - I have yet to be blown away by a kit they’ve sent me 🙊

I went to Ulta today and got properly swatch matched with some foundation and BOY HOWDY does having the correct fucking base totally change what everything else looks like goddamn
So I’ve pitched all the foundations I had (that were all like 2-4 shades too dark wtf have I been doing/thinking) and now have three formulas that I love in the PROPER FUCKING SHADES 🙌
I also picked up an Urban Decay Lipstick (Ex-Girlfriend) and I can already tell it’s going to be a FAVE 😍 It’s a nude sheer shimmer and super lightweight and basically everything I love in a lip product~
