Say your bedroom / apartment / house / workplace were suddenly perfectly preserved for future generations, a la Pompeii, King Tut's Tomb, or the Motel of the Mysteries. Second canicross outing was a hit! We ran 5km along the beach, definitely faster than we've ever run before. Rhu loves running with others, he clearly finds it super rewarding.

Hi! What does Rhu feel like? Does he have a wiry coat like he looks?

Hi. Sort of? His top coat is definitely wire hair from his Patterdale side, but he has a really thick soft shar pei undercoat. So although he's a bit wirey, he's softer than he looks.

I took today off because it was our one day of good weather, and it's been raining non-stop for literally months, and I've been so low and so, ugh, I needed it.

We went to a beginners canicross meeting yesterday and had an absolute blast! The group was really good at making sure everyone knew the etiquette of keeping their dogs to themselves and ensuring everyone had the right kit. Rhu adored running with a group, had a small objection to an entire male running behind him but it wasn't a problem, everyone understood dogs so we just made sure it didn't happen again. They do hiking in the summer when it's too hot to run! We're going on a beach run next weekend and I'm so excited to have dog people to play with.

No photos of canicross because we were busy, so enjoy the aftermath
