Do you guys remember Nadetta? My Genshin OC from Mondstadt? Well, I created a set of OCs from each nation at the same time, but they have had more time to evolve from their original concept. The Natlan and Snezhnaya OCs will have to cook a little longer, though.

These designs aren't final, I just wanted to properly visualize them.

Can you guess their elements? Well, you can read below to see if you're right!

Liyue: Lien; Pyro Sword. She helps upkeep the gardens of Liyue Harbor, but oddly enough, she isn't aligned with the Qixing.

Inazuma: Daichi; Dendro Sword. A member of the Watatsumi Army who has a habit of charging into battle. He isn't left with much to do ever since the war ended; poor guy.

Sumeru: Jalil; Cryo Catalyst. A Vahumana scholar from the desert researching the Fatui. He actually really dislikes the Fatui. Why? That's a secret.

Fontaine: Juliette; Electro Polearm. An inventor who struck out from the Fontaine Research Institute to do her own thing. She aims to gain the favor of a nobleman in the Court of Fontaine (because romeo and juliet, get it).

The Future of this Blog

As I'm sure you are all aware by now, Tumblr has struck a deal with Midjourney, an AI company, and has begun giving the option to opt out of letting third-parties use our data, including for training AI models.

It goes without saying that I am anti-AI. Even if I can't do much once it's already done, I can work to prevent my art from being used for training it.

What about Glaze and Nightshade? Well, I have been informed that it doesn't work as well as you think it does. TLDR: The effect can be easily reversed, and it will only work to protect your art from larger models. I would take this with a grain of salt, but it's still important to keep in mind.

So that comes to the topic of my blog: what will happen to it?

Well, I won't delete it. There's a high chance it's already been scraped, and there isn't much I can do about it once it's been scraped. I have opted out, so hopefully, it will prevent it from being scraped in the future.

Will I keep posting? That remains to be seen. But for now, and I'd hate to have to do this, all art will be heavily watermarked from this point onward. You will be able to find higher-quality images of any OC art on my toyhouse (MaplesHaiku), but for fanart, there isn't much I can do about it.

And the thing that sucks in general is that there's no good alternative for artists to post their art right now. I really hope one comes in the near future, but until then, we're all just stuck.

It may be a long time for any regulations to come for AI Art, and I hope the government is working on passing something. But there's more pressing issues at hand right now. Regardless, no matter what, we can't give up. We have to keep fighting. If we all become complacent, that could only lead to more terrible things down the road.

Young Tori doesn't wear this exact outfit on a day-to-day basis. But I opted to give her a simple outfit, so here we are.

This actually was an old sketch that I got around to lining and coloring today. Well, the head is old, at least. I didn't like the body of the old sketch, so at first I tried drawing an entirely new sketch, but I liked the head of the old sketch better, so I ended up stitching the two sketches together, which led to the drawing you see here.

Chibi of my New Agent 3! She grew a little bit of hair after story mode happened--depicted comically large here.

The scars on her hands + braid you see here will translate over to Tori's design. Taking her finalized backstory into account, it makes sense for her.

It's been a while since I've down a Hero Mode icon...and this one is of a new OC!

Meet Luna--she uses any pronouns. They're a blue-ringed octoling native to the Splatlands, which means the blue rings on their tentacles don't change color. While not particularly emotive, he's a big sports fan and wants to master as many weapons as possible.

Is she venomous? To some extent, but I can assure you their ink isn't poisonous.
