It fucks with Mykah more than he’ll ever let on, but instead of showing how upset he is, he merely lets out a breath he hadn’t known he’d been holding onto until now and kneels down next to the young woman, swiping his hand over her right shoulder to collect her soul and to alleviate her pain, should she feel anything yet.
The human body is extraordinary, he thinks to himself. It does all it can to prevent one from feeling anything by going into shock. From the amount of damage done, Mykah assumes that’s exactly what happened here. He doesn’t stand yet, gaze reluctant as he meets her eyes.
“Take a breath and close your eyes. Your lungs have failed and they both stopped breathing.”

Mariam couldn’t remember what had happened. What happened to her? Why was she lying here, something was not right. Blinking she tries to recall the events that had happened mere moments before but to no avail.
“I don’t - I don’t...” She couldn’t feel any pain now as she saw what was around her and clued in to her surroundings and what was through her. It was a car crash. She should be feeling it - a piece of metal in her shoulder - right now but she wasn’t. It was then that she saw him. He looked beautiful. Something inside her ached. Not for him, but for someone else.
Those words he had spoken.. No. Her life was just starting. She didn’t want to die.
