High-speed Rail from New York to Chicago should be the top priority of rail funding once the current round of amtrak expansion finishes and California High-speed Rail opens

#big big fan of this #especially the Buffalo to nyc route because I do that train trip often and it current takes NINE HOURS #but yes the rust belt deserves this! #buffalo was recently ranked the most climate proof city in the USA #or possibly world I can’t remember what the article said #but we deserve better infrastructure #this city used to be a hub right on par with Chicago #and the two cities are very similar #so they deserve to be connected #and not just because Chicago and nyc are two of my favorite cities and I’d like it to be easier to get to both

We stood around, looking at each other, not quite knowing what to do with ourselves at first.

After many moments of silence, one by one, and slowly at first, we all put down our weapons, solemnly nodded to the rest, and went our separate ways. None of us knew if we'd ever see each other again after that one wild day, but we knew we'd never forget the friendships we made. No matter how life changed us, we'd always have the day we booped.
