Hardest part about writing fanfic for me that often causes writers block is I keep trying to establish the world when it already exists

The reader doesn't need me to tell them everything again

And that any context in my head on how the world has changed can easily be given with an au tag or flashbacks and a prologue

Like a good au fanfic set up is:

Chapter establishing differences. It just needs to establish the biggest change and all the ripple effects and authors head canons can be sprinkled in throughout the rest of the story (this can be put anywhere in the story I personally like to make it a prologue)

Beginning

Conflict

End

This is mostly a reminder to myself, I have rewritten something like four time in just yesterday and then stared at it today as I tried to figure out why I'm struggling so much

It's because I am trying to hard to write it like a book and not a fanfic

Tiktok and Youtube

So I do live in the US so I will make a tiktok account specifically for Ninjago (just makes it easier to sort things out) but idk exactly what is happening government wise with that

But I will also be on YouTube! in fact I already have that account started with a single how to draw video that was done very poorly 😅👍

I know tumblr isn't really the platform for doing this kind of stuff so I'm trying to get stuff set up so I'm not annoying. Which I'm probably failing at. Sorry.

My brother did weightlifting and has done training to be a fire fighter and the things I seen him eat...

And then I'm a military spouse so I have heard the guys talking about things they will eat to bulk or drop weight 🤢

And it's mainly a guy thing

Some of the girls will join in but majority of the time they will just make/buy actual food

I bet and hc Lloyd may not want to eat gross stuff but if it means he doesn't have to cook he will just eat anything

Mending at least feels super productive because typically it's pretty quick especially is you use sashiko

But you know it's still creative

Knitting Goblin, living in my brain with $0/month rent: “Ooh! Double pointed needles! You prefer metal needles and they’re shiny!”

My WIPs: “Or you could finish the scarf, bag, cat toy, or doll before you start a new hobby.”

Crochet Goblin, somehow paying even less rent: “Or you could try tapestry crochet? Perhaps an amigurumi dog?”

Embroidery Hoop: “She hasn’t even looked at me in months! Wait your fucking turn!”

Okay so I just saw something and I now understand why people ship Azula and Aang

I don't ship it but I understand it now and it's not toxic

So after Azula has the break down(s) apparently in the comics she went through a lot of healing and Aang was there for it and helped her along

This paired with them both being extremely young children who were prodigies and the fact that the authority figures they looked up to basically place the world on their shoulders creates a great foil between the two of them

Showing the different ways they were raised and who they became and then their growth past that and into them becoming adults is why they are shipped

What's being worked on

Alright so what I am currently working on:

The Lloyd Garmadon cosplay: I just recently moved out of my parents' home but I don't have all my stuff and it's looking like I will not be able to get it until I move back to the same state as them. So I may have to buy new stuff which equals more time before I can start it because I need to earn the money first. I'll see about working up like the costs not including my time so I can set up goals of what needs to be earned.

Youtube videos: I suck at technology. I have a video all ready but I can't get the program it's on to let me have it because of it's length and I can't afford the subscription to get the longer video. So that may get added with goals

Motorcycle endorsement: I know how to ride and how to do it safely but I technically can't do it legally until I finish a course and considering it's snowing outside right now... it's going to be a minute

Fanart: Got a few in the works. I'm just struggling because my brain went into writer mode 😅

Fanfics: Green Tea and Things already has another chapter started. I also started the scripts for 2 animations. One being the ninjago tiktoks and the other being for a fanfic idea that won't leave me alone and will look way better animated if that makes it multi-year project
