"A Child’s View from Gaza" was an art exhibition showcasing drawings created by the children of Gaza.
"The captioned illustrations were created by Palestinian children who lived through the Israeli bombardment of Gaza in 2008-09. The pictures were drawn as part of an effort to help children deal with the horrors they had experienced. A Bay Area nonprofit, Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA), arranged to display a collection of these pictures at the Museum of Children’s Art in Oakland, California. However, under pressure from the Jewish Federation of the East Bay and other organizations, the museum backed out of the agreement at the last minute."
the way mike’s decision to keep up the facade of platonic feelings is making them both miserable because this is mike, right after saying he’s dating el and will is just his friend.
and then this is will believing mike and thinking that they’re never going to be anything more than friends.
it’s the same longing look, a shot taken in the moment of them both thinking that staying away is the best decision they can make, yet unintentionally achieving the opposite and making the other one miserable.
Thinking about this post by @pholiabanna and wondering how everyone (including the nebulous “GA”) understood bedroom decor + poster implications for the character’s primary attraction with this for Steve
And this for Billy
And even this for Nance—
—but the implications of this/these (+ the one-way-into-the-closet street sign) for Mike is lost on everyone.
will’s picture perfect guy being mike is so…. hehehehehehehehe
will dreaming as a kid about what kind of person he would spend time with at school and mike rolls up the next day. will who, everytime he envisions something, it always ends up as mike. will getting his six feet tall knight in shining armor to fulfill all his dreams and its slways mike wearing it… mike saving him as a lonely kindergartener, a scared and missing boy, the loss of his own mind and body, AND from having to help flip over that car in the mall. what sillies
mike really said "i dont know what's gonna happen next. but whatever it is, i want YOU by my side. because NOBODY compares to you, and my life is incomplete without you next to me. life is easier when we're together. i never want to lose you again"
I love this analogy to symbolize the trio, but might I add how hilarious it is that this is basically comparing Mike to a Tonka Truck?
“you saw that girl and she was in the sandbox, and she was crying. you gave her your tonka truck. and i told you we couldn’t afford to buy another one. you said she should have it because she’s sad. she’s sad mommy.”
If Mike had the same focus on his mental health as part of his character arc in season 4 like Max did, he wouldn’t be as a disliked character by the general audience as he currently is.
I’m being serious.
Their behaviors throughout season 4 are similar enough to draw parallels between them.
They both treat Lucas like crap in less than ideal terms.
They both get their declining academic performance pointed out by another character.
They are both hiding things from people, and being open and honest about it could help them but they won’t do it.
They both mistreat and push away someone they love.
They both lack self-preservation, which leads them to have suicidal tendencies and put their lives at risk.
The show even makes a point of putting Mike next to Max in two of the symptoms mentioned in the Vecna’s curse.
The only difference is that Max’s character has a huge focus this season, and most of it is centers on her deteriorating mental state. On the other hand, the only time Mike gets a chance to explicitly and verbally acknowledge that he is struggling with something, he admonishes himself for caring about something so irrelevant considering the ongoing situation, and the scene shifts to be about Will and his disguised confession through the painting.

So, with all being said... what could this possibly mean for Mike in season 5? Well, Ms. Kelly said it best:
"Byler should have a soft first kiss" this and "Byler should have a passionate first kiss" that, well how about Byler having a first kiss that is sweet, gentle, soft, loving, and a little hesitant and then they pull back slightly for a second and stare into each other's eyes before slamming into a second kiss that is more passionate and where they can express the pent up love they've been burying for years.
You say "Will deserves better" but Will says "Sometimes I feel like I'm a mistake for being different but he makes me feel like I'm not a mistake at all, like I'm better for being different and that's what gives me courage to fight on."
