''The puppy was adopted''
Someone asked what happened to the puppy. Well... that same day a quieter girl, who didn't scare the stray puppy, convinced her family to adopt him~

Various states of things that might  probably not ever get done, now that I’m going back to hiding under my mounds of work.
———————————————–
-Headconon- Xerxes snores, but he still shares Moz’s giant pillows. Moz seems like the type of guy that stays up until 4 and sleeps until noon when he can.
–I probably won’t get to writing any stories about them for a long while, but most of these were part of a fic idea where she and Moze meet up somehow, after Moze steals his gauntlet back from Aladdin. Except, thanks to Genie the gauntlet is in an extremely weakened state, thus Moze can only do very basic spells. In order to restore it to full power he needs the last witch of the sand to unlock some ancient artifact some 1000 miles away. Somehow he tricks Sadira into believing she’ll finally become a full-fledged witch with this artifact or otherwise convinces her to help him. They travel through many different places, and manage not to kill each other, hooray. Do they ever find it??? Takes place after Aladdin and Jasmine get married, and I think Sadira would probably just go back to her poor lifestyle, but maybe with a new outfit as a gift from Jasmine or something. I don’t see her begging Jasmine for help, but I have no idea how she’d get off the streets otherwise. I think she’d agree to look for this artifact so she can be someone, & because she sees magic as her ticket to a better life and to do some good.
—Sadira’s outfit in white is from when they visited a distant kingdom while on their way, and were taken in as guests in the palace. She cleans up pretty nice, but dang I had no idea how much taking out her pig tails would totally change her look. Clearly the image seems to have made a lasting impression on someone. With Sadira he’s struggling to come to terms with the fact that for all his magic and studies and (former?) plans- he is still a virile young guy.
—-Mozenrath has a basic understanding of anatomy and emotion from all his books, that appears to have gone out the window when it’s happening to him. Yeah he’s smooth and flirty when he’s in a position to taunt, but he’s really just a clueless brat when it comes to controlling his body (teen hormones anyone?) and definitely his emotions- let’s be honest here. Sadira, on the other hand, definitely knows what she’s doing and is much more mature in every sense of the word. She’s clumsy and bumbling when it comes to magic, cooking, ect… but she’s very street smart and has a very honed skill set. She always tries to have good intentions, but certainly isn’t above manipulating situations to her advantage. That’s what I love about her.

What do you think a meeting between Sadira and Mozenrath would comprise of?
(Okay so, fun fact: I watch most of my disney stuff off either dailymotion or [redacted cartoon hosting site,] excepting the one time I watched 360p Aladdin off youtube bc it was so low-res it never got copyright struck.
So I'm not as crystal clear on Sadira as I am on Mozenrath, given that it just takes me a little longer to get to any given episode.
From what I've seen, though, I think Mozenrath would be reserved with Sadira, same as he is with anyone else. Eventually he'd start to warm up, and find her a little endearing, if only because of her persistence. I think Mozenrath isn't really used to having strong opinions on anyone, and so if he found himself being actually endeared with her, it'd unnerve him a little bit.
Of course, Sadira would be oblivious to his inner turmoil. She just knows he's a big bad sorcerer, and that's how he likes to be known, anyway.
A meeting would probably consist of..... hm. I like to think she gets very, very, very lost, and that's how Mozenrath spots her. He considers killing her, he does that with everyone, but doesn't go through with it because she's his pretty little duckie.
I may or may not write smth about this actually. If there are any Sadira rpers out there, this could also be a good thread, hit me up!)

I became a Wattpad refugee last year after I accidentally tried to post a story on Wattpad that has emojis. The emojis caused the site to crash and not work properly. I had to transfer most of my work from Wattpad to archive of our own before deleting my Wattpad account for good.
Alright, to ao3's soon to be arriving Wattpad Refugees, a basic guide to general user culture:
1.) Unlike Wattpads vote system that let's you like each chapter, the ao3 equivalent kudos only allows one per work. Everyone is generally quietly annoyed about this. To engage with each chapter, you're heavily encouraged to comment. Trust me, it makes people's day.
2.) Ao3 has no algorithm. By default it's latest updated work first. You can find things to your taste through searches, filters and tags.
3.) 'No archive warnings apply' and 'user has chosen not to use archive warnings' mean two very different things. No archives warnings means the work is free from any content that could require a warning tag (character death, graphic depictions of violence, non-con, etc). User has chosen not to use archive warnings means it could contain any of the warning content, be it hasn't been explicitly tagged. Treat it like an allergen. No archive warnings apply is allergen free. User has chosen not to use archive warnings, may contain traces or whole chunks of the allergen. If you're likely to have a bad reaction, maybe don't take the risk.
4.) Speaking of warnings, ao3 has very few restrictions on the type of work that's allowed. Whatever your personal thoughts or feelings on that are, thats how the site is. You're likely to run across some dark subject matters and a lot of people are uncomfortable with reading that. You're well within your rights not like these works and have your opinion on whether they should be allowed, but harassing the authors of such works (or any works) is more likely to come back on you than them. Ao3 operates on a strong policy of 'don't like, don't read'. Use the tagging system to your full advantage to only engage with the kind of works you want to see.
We look forward to welcoming you all and seeing the fantastic works you create. Happy writing!

Tangled the Series Character Analysis: Childhood Trauma POV
I can’t believe Tangled the Series really created two incredible antivillains and threw them in direct contrast with the pre-existing golden couple. I love what the showrunners did with the main quartet, so I made a very subjective analysis post about it from a Childhood Trauma POV. (Spoilers, obviously.)
The Boys
Tumblr media
The series’ focus is on Rapunzel, and by association her direct opposite, Cassandra, so the boys get comparatively less screen time. But it doesn’t take long to figure out that Varian is meant to be a parallel for Eugene—these are two people dealing with the absence of parental guardians, struggling to reconcile the lives they previously had with their changing ideals in relation to a less-than-perfect Father Figure.
They both respond to the helpless state of being young, alone, and powerless by trying to take back power in any way they can. Eugene reinvented himself and buried his desires for a family. Varian throws in everything he has into recovering what he lost, because he’s a child and the best solution he can think of is to return to the familiar safety of his father’s presence. A significant portion of his desperation is fueled by fear of his father’s disapproval, because as much as Quirin loves Varian, he wasn’t the dependable voice of support. Varian needs approval from outside sources, which was also Flynn Rider’s purpose in life, once upon a time. (Again, parallels.)
Throughout the series, the boys’ relationship with each other transforms from exasperated incomprehension to easy understanding. The process is hastened as Eugene lets himself realize he cares a lot about troubled kids who remind him of himself. He becomes aware that children should not be required to survive on their own like he and Lance had. Spurred on by his significant other’s love and encouragement, Eugene is able to acknowledge the adverse affects of his childhood on his life and start moving on. His extending a ready hand to Varian is his process of healing. Though Eugene’s first priority will always be Rapunzel, he truly wants to save Varian from the uncontrollable volatility of risky decisions because he knows that downward spiral intimately.
Of course, there is a difference between thieving from the rich and planning the destruction of a kingdom. We’ll get to that later.
The Girls
Tumblr media
Rapunzel and Cassandra are the biggest driving forces of narrative power in the show, and they are survivors of child abuse. Every one of the main quartet has Parent Issues, but Rapunzel takes the crown (figuratively speaking) with this one. She was kidnapped and groomed into a life-giving doll, and she was only able to escape her abusive adoptive mother through incredibly traumatizing means. For Cassandra, it was neglect, and even her loving adoptive father couldn’t leviate the scars left on her childhood mind.
They’re a classic case of Golden Child vs. Scapegoat, which is a common case seen in siblings raised by Narcissistic parents. When one child is “favored” more than the other, the kids experience vastly different childhoods, resulting in resentment that stems from their inability to understand each other. Rapunzel and Cassandra are both jealous of what the other had—Rapunzel wants Cassandra’s casual, practiced ease with freedom and personal agency, while Cassandra wants the attention and respect that Rapunzel is given by the status of her birth. Because they’re unwilling to speak candidly about the unique hardships of their childhood, what results is a series of miscommunications that put a strain on their friendship.
