What is true love? People have given so many personal definitions of it and once it becomes a belief, it becomes very true for them. But the worse definition I have discovered to be most detrimental to a relationship is ownership. The unconscious belief that the other person becomes property. Some kind of ownership or asset. This is usually where the ego and lack of confidence comes into play and starts to destroy the relationship. What if??? What if love is the foundation of freedom? Being able to have the freedom with another to be vulnerable and authentic. To love unconditionally without expectations and assumptions. What would that be like? Understanding that nothing last forever and able to experience the greatest power in the universe because of the gratitude and being mindful and present in this moment. The moment you have with that loved one knowing that you have no idea when that may end. This way of thinking is an easy way to freedom. To love like no other way before. To know that when we are vulnerable with each other, the relationship reaches to all new level of experiences. Not having to live in a constant guarded state, wouldn’t that be freeing? Not clouded with expectations and assumptions of the other that is suppose to “love” you. Doesn’t that sound like freedom all of us would want to experience. Why do you do what you do? Have you been asked this? I have. Many times over. Most want to know why I do a daily short blog. Why every day? My life has become one of servitude. Not just helping others, but also helping myself. Working to get better each and every day. How? By consistency. Doing the work that makes me better. To make me successful. This consistent work is what helps set my day. It helps align my thoughts that produce the emotions and actions I want and need to be successful. The process helps rebuild the neuroplasticity pathways in my mind to build a different perspective. Away from the negative and catabolic mindset I had many years ago. This consistency helps reinforce this way of thinking by conditioning it every day. This blog has been helping me as much, if not more than the faithful followers that read it. Other than eat, sleep, drink and breathe, what have you done every day for the last several years? Never missing a day. Holidays, birthdays, weekends, and even vacations. See, the eating, breathing, drinking, and sleeping are survival processes. Me being consistent with this daily blog is more of a creative process. I do it not because I have to. I do it because I want greatness in my life. I want to be my definition of success. I want to help other think that great “what if???” Question to breakout of the mere survival mode. But I do it to better myself through growth and especially consistency. This is my alignment for being better each and every day. What do you see? Our imagination and the focus we can have of it is our greatest adversary when it comes to manifesting our reality. The vision we conjure within us is how the ideas form to build goals. The more precise we can be with the vision within our imagination allows us to be very specific on the goals we set. Without some kind of vision, it is hard to be very accurate in goal-setting at all. Whether you call them visions or even dreams, the more detailed they are the greater the chance of manifestation. So, be able to release the barriers of your imagination and allow it to create the sounds, sights, smells, tastes, and touch as if it was already real so our reticular activation system(RAS) can allow the abundant information, that always surrounds us, access our mind. Without the vision or focused imagination, this information can be filtered out to keep the conscious mind to avoid information overload just because it wasn’t relevant to your perception or your story. So imagine your dreams and ideas. Be very specific. Imagine all five senses in these visions. Allow them to become detailed goals. Allow the abundance of information and ideas to help you manifest the reality you truly want to produce. Your truly are the creator of your own reality. Who are you? The hardest question we will ever have to answer in our lifetime. Not what you do or how you were educated or even the responsibilities you have. The real question is who are you deep inside. What kind of person are you. How do you live your life and how could you live it? See, all these are examples of resolving internal conflict. Possibly eliminating fears and limiting beliefs. Do you ask this question? Honestly? Most don’t. They use their occupation or education to define them. Never fulfilling the full potential of who they are and the incredible value they bring to this world. For every person serves a purpose. All of us have a reason to exist. Can you find calm? When it comes to the best performance we seek in any aspect of our life, it is greatly increased by the presence of calm and mindfulness. It is actually a very simple equation. Performance = Potential - Interference All of us have potential . And that potential increases in small steps as we condition, practice, and consistently work and learn. So acknowledging your potential is a great foundation of what you are capable of doing. Interference is the negative factor in having that ultimate performance. What is the interference in our life? Fear, internal conflict, anxiety, depression, apathy, worry, and victimhood. It is hard to see these when we are continuously in survival mode. Anxiety-ridden and always trying to force something. It’s not just producing the calm around you, but more importantly, the calm within you. When we are consistently trashing about in panic or haste, we miss things. Things like new opportunities and helpful information. Always having a blind eye to what we need compared to what we want. We have to learn to calm the interference within. The fears and internal conflict. The anxiety and depression that limits out potential and takes away from any performance we are trying to produce. Be mindful of where your thoughts are. Acknowledge the emotions and feelings these thoughts are producing within you. Influence and focus on the thoughts you need to calmly see the opportunities and information that is abundantly surrounding you all the time. This is how you increase the performance of your life. Still using one ingredient? Do you really believe the “one thing” concept? That it only takes one thing to accomplish greatness. Sorry, life is not like that. Indeed, it is more like baking. You cannot make a loaf of bread with just flour. It takes more than that to make something amazing and delicious. In life, there is a couple major ingredients you need to make that fulfilled life. Knowledge probably is the “flour” in your ingredients. But there are more to get the results you are hoping for. Some of the other ingredients are influence, focus, choices, faith, courage, resilience, and even consistency. As you learn these ingredients and able to use them more, your results become more and more amazing. Not all results work out as we desire. Sometimes we follow ever part of the recipe and still fail at producing the result we want. But we discover new ingredients even with failure. We learn more knowledge. We make better choices. We refine our influence and focus as we combine the ingredients. We use our faith, courage, and our resilience to consistently keep trying to make that beautiful result. What can you change? In our journey to find that successful and fulfilling life, we forget that most of that is already within us. Conceived from the very thoughts and emotions we experience that help us take the actions in our life to produce the outcomes that become our reality. If there was anything we could educate the younger generation is to understand that their emotions are just chemicals that are produced within by the very thoughts they are having. No one hurts their feelings. It is merely the quality of the very thoughts they are having. Basic terms: If you think bad, you feel bad. If you feel bad, you act bad. Period. But it is the same for good: If you think good, you feel good. If the you feel good, you act good. That simple. Not always that easy because there is no control of your thoughts. Sometimes those nasty hard thoughts enter your mind and try to pull you down. You can’t control those thoughts. But you are so much more powerful than you know. You have the power of influence and focus. We can influence different thoughts. That’s a choice. New thoughts that will create new emotions. And the more we focus on those positive and anabolic thoughts, the more the body creates new chemical compounds that change the way we feel. And when we change our thoughts and emotions to more positive and anabolic ones, we are so much more inclined to take positive and anabolic actions that will absolutely create better results. Which helps us create a better reality. Teach them young how powerful they can be. Teach them by being the example because you started to increase the quality of your own thoughts. How does your mind work? Sometimes that is the hardest question. Usually because we never really acknowledge how our mind is programmed to think when we are not present. The only way to discover this is to be present in most moments to see the thoughts that come up and run through your head. Being reactive is a perfectly normal state. Indeed, it is a way we survived for generations. But this present time we have to acknowledge that being reactive is mostly a catabolic and negative possibility. Not always but most of the time. Most of the time our mind works off of association. Like the word “candy”. The mind associates the word with a pleasurable experience, exclaiming, 'Candy tastes good! I want some!' But it also associates when you meet a person who once hurt our feelings and the reaction becomes 'Danger. Be careful.' Association is a mechanical way of thinking. Which has its benefits in subjects like sports where there isn’t time to think, just react. But in everyday life, mechanical thinking and being reactive can be very counterproductive. Understanding how the mind is programmed can help us use that programming or replace that programming. Consciously. Not just being reactive all the time. We always have a choice but being reactive, the choice is made by the unconscious programming within. Acknowledge your programming. Learn your mind. Be more mindful and present. Where is your home? It is funny how most people try to relate this definition with a physical place. Someplace that physically shelters us. When in reality, most are looking for that feeling of being home. The security of safety. The warmth of comfort. The familiar smells and and sights that relax our tensions and help us unwind. But aren’t all these merely feelings? Seeking out this “home” to feel a certain way. When truthfully the thing we seek is just a feeling. And all feelings and emotions are created by our own thoughts. So would it stand to reason that to create those feelings and emotions we have to be in the state of mind that creates those thoughts? A mind with less inner conflict. Less expectations and interpretations. A mind that is more anabolic than catabolic. What is the easiest way to achieve this mindset? Discovering our True Self. Becoming more of our True Self. Our True Self is an image or goal for us to become the most grateful, compassionate, empathetic, and forgiving person we can be. Wouldn’t that help eliminate most of the inner conflict of trying to not being who we were meant to be? The freedom of just being and not pretending to be someone or something we are not. Carry on with the a false life and deceiving others and especially ourselves. Nothing to “have to” do. Just be. What if this is “Home”. Just being. Are you being you? Seems like a weird question but have you really asked it? The idea of getting lost or stuck in life is terrifying. But sometimes being alone scares some so much more that they refuse to be themselves. They fear the loneliness that might come with not “fitting in”. I found this more so in the younger generation just trying to be a part of something that they lose their own identity. Then the programming get engrained so much that being stuck or lost in life and not understanding how this happened escapes them. Even into the latter parts of their life. Forgetting who they really are. Or worse, who they were meant to be. It takes true courage, almost a sense of heroism, for one to be their True Self. To really become who they were meant to be. We always have the opportunity of change in our lives no matter how old we are. We can always make that change to quit being like others and hiding behind masks to fit in. We can choose to be our authentic self. Our True Self at any time. We just have to make that decision and be courageous about living a life that was meant just for us. Not trying to live someone else’s life. Discover who you are. Who you are meant to be. By discovering who your True Self is. It all starts with being the most grateful, compassionate, empathetic, and forgiving person you can possibly be. Being alone can be very powerful if one shifts their perspective to being authentic. Are you aware of your health? Seems like an obvious question but many don’t really acknowledge it internally. Not realizing that it isn’t just a singular issue. Modern medicine focuses only on treating just the mind, or just the body, ignoring the fact that the two therapies should not be separated. They are very much connected. Just like if you were to imagine a lemon — its smell, rough yellow peel; imagine taking it in your hand and cutting it. Visualize the juice dripping from the knife. Now, imagine taking a slice and putting it in your mouth. If your mouth fills with saliva and your tongue reacts during the visualization, you have created a connection between body and mind. We can change even at the cellular level; our genes do not determine our capabilities. When we don't ask how we can work on our own wellness, we become helpless and dependent. We have to take daily steps to work on out overall health, mentally and physically together. Daily steps like journaling, meditation, exercise, and introducing new productive habits helps us heal. While also acknowledging what trauma and harmful habits we need to let go and replace help us in this process. Awakening this awareness of the whole holistic health within is more influenced by our own mindset that helps empower us to get healthy. Mentally and physically since they are connected. If you can think yourself sick, doesn’t it stand to reason that you can start to think yourself healthy? Daily work brings consistent change. Can we help? In this journey we are in, I realize that there are so many times that we are the teacher and the student at the same time. With the ability to help others in their journey, we always have the opportunity to learn from others too. For life is a constant learning opportunity. But to live the full experience, we have to be willing to learn as we help. We have to be willing to listen while talking. Be willing to give while taking. So many, because of their egos, try to just teach, talk, and take all the time. Never realizing that life is a delicate balance of all of these. When we are honest and humble, we realize that we don’t really know everything. We can’t always say everything. And we definitely cannot just take all the time. You would be surprised how many don’t acknowledge this. Therefore they miss out on the opportunity to live life to the fullest. There will always be the “takers” out there. But it doesn’t mean you have to be one. You were meant for a great purpose and when you have that balance of being the teacher and the student when it comes to experiences, it helps you become who you were meant to be. More of your True Self. That most compassionate, empathetic, forgiving person full of gratitude that is willing to teach and learn at the same time to grow in ways most will never experience. Always be willing to be helpful and guide. But always be willing to learn. You deserve it to yourself. Others deserve to see the True you. Become who you were meant to be. Not just a taker. Are you reactive? This is a choice. Being reactive is how most get stuck in a unhappy and unfulfilling life. Always allowing the environment to guide them in directions that are probably not productive for the life they desire to live. Being reactive is a natural state for humans. This is how we survived as a species for thousands of years. But we had to. There were so many inherent dangers during those early stages of our evolvement. We were always calculating “what is trying to kill us?” or “how far do I have to go to survive?” or even “how much time do I have to live?”. All of these are reactive states of being. Very catabolic and draining. Now days we don’t have the primitive dangers our ancestors had several generations ago. These days we are consumed by mental fears, not so much physical fears. There are still physical dangers in our lives. But nothing like several generations ago. Today we have to be more proactive in our choices to produce the life we desire. Choosing how we show up in any situation. Not being reactive. We can choose to leave an environment if it is not suitable for our goals. Just like we can change an energy within us if it is not suitable for the situation. All our own choices. But we don’t make good choices if we are always reactive. Always the victim. Make the choice to change. Don’t change just to be reactive. You do have that power. Stop giving it away. Choose your path. As we say, “Get out of BED!” Stop using BLAME EXCUSES DENIAL!! Can you see them? We talk about the abundance that surrounds us everyday. The miracles all around us. But do we actually see them? Do we experience these miracles? For most, we may see one every once in while because life gets busy or we are focus on others things all the time. Truth is they are always there. It is our own perception that is either denying or allowing ourselves to see this abundance. Just changing our perception can allow us to truly see more abundance and miracles around us. Add in the fact of being more mindful and present with the acknowledgment of choosing our more powerful anabolic energy opens the door to a flood of experiences we have yet to encounter. Make time to see even the smallest miracles and abundance in your life everyday. Help reshape your perception to see more of these amazing experiences. Even on your darkest or hardest day, you still have the ability to shift and begin to see all of the amazing miracles around you. It is always allowed by your perception. Even to catch a glimpse of a honey bee is a miracle. Especially if we understand what they do. Bees are nature’s best pollinators. It’s very impressive, actually – a single colony can pollinate more than 300 million flowers each day! They pollinate one third of all the food on this planet. They are more than just an insect. But most miracles are more than what we just casually observe. Shift your perception. See the real miracles. Don’t dismiss the power of any miracle. Big or small. Why did we miss it? A very simple question but has great relevance when we acknowledge the truth. There is always something going on even when we don’t see it. Especially when we don’t acknowledge it. How is it that we miss so much? Usually by the mindless junk we keep in our minds. Everything we don’t need to be thinking about but we do and it distracts us from what is actually going on. And we always seem to have an excuse for this mindless living. “I was preoccupied.” We actually miss so much in life by being “preoccupied”. By wasting our energy on worries and expectations. Never really experiencing what is going on around us because we are faded in the past or forward thinking in the future. Regardless which direction we are, we miss out on life as it happens. Whether we see it or not. By clearing the many distractions and junk in our heads, we are posed with the ability to be more mindful and present. To experience more around us. To reveal the hidden that was always there. Something is always happening. Everywhere around you. From the smallest event to the largest experience. Always going on whether we are present or not. We just seem to miss out on most because of the distractions and expectations. Clear that junk and trash out of your head. Try to free yourself enough to experience what is happening around you. Practice being more present and mindful of your environment. This will absolutely lead you to a more experienced life. Fill your life with experiences. Not with mindless thoughts that keep you from living a fulfilled life. What are you acknowledging? Do you ever seem to notice how you silently ask the world to leave you alone? To just go away and let you live your own life? This happens to everyone that slips into catabolic energy of victimhood. You become convinced that this world does have power over you. Over your journey. Over your wellness. Over your happiness. How does this happen? Because in catabolic energy, we become weak. Restricted. Because we don't understand with the lacking of clarity and focus. Because we always want something from this intrusive world. We just want something. You make the terrible world go away by not acknowledging its authority over you. It has no authority. You make the terribleness go away by dissolving the “want”. To constant performance in the nasty world’s confines that it imposes on you. Stop wanting anything from it and start wanting what truth itself wants to give you and is ready to give you the moment that you're tired enough of the empty boxes of society. Look for the truth. This is the discovery of the power we give away in beliefs of authority. Everything we need and seek is within us when it comes to happiness and fulfillment. Not out there. What if we are the ones? I can show you case after case of how we actually do this to ourselves. We set the limitations on what we can actually do. But on the other hand I can show you so many that have had the most challenging and unbelievable situations and still came out successful. So, if you might be the only reason you are limited or not able to find that success, does that make you become more the victim? Or does it empower you knowing that you really are the creator of your life and your success? To have the correct correlation, we have to shift our energy from that catabolic victimhood to a more anabolic energy of responsibility, concern, integration, and other productive energies to allow us to see that abundance that always surrounds us. Remember, control is the illusion we chase all our lives and never really obtain it. Our power is influence. Use it to increase the odds of the results we want in life. Quit wasting energy on expectations we conjure up in our heads. Release yourself. Let go of the illusion of control. Use your influence as much as possible. When there is no more influence, let go and move on. Don’t entrap yourself. Discover the freedom of your true powers.
