What if the plan in the confrontation chapter fails not because they discover Lila but because everyone in the room thinks that Chloe is the culprit and that she has been badly influencing and manipulating Lila

After all, since Lila got together with Chloe, Lila has started to be very mean to Marinette and her stories have been more about celebrities than about charity.

Currently on hiatus but that is a very good prompt. Have to disagree about the last part though.

Secret Sankta Countdown: Day 1

A Moment Too Late by @angstythumbs

This entry from last year imagines a scenario where Alina and Mal had left the Little Palace hunting for the stag and then… encountered some druskelle. Aleksander of course is hot on their heels, stomping through the snow in the cold, icy Northern winter, desperate to find his sun summoner, but will he arrive in time? 

This story deviates at this point and has a bit of angst and panic, sneaky druskelle that are trying to destroy Aleksander’s plans, and (maybe) a tiny bit of tragedy. If this is something for you, have a look!

The Plagues on Tashbaan

Currently rereading the Horse and his Boy, and I can’t help wondering, what if Rabadash had managed to kidnap Susan? What would happen then? I cannot see the Narnians succeeding in a rescue attempt in such a fortified city.

Then I thought, if everyone prayed to Aslan for Susan’s return, what if Aslan threatened to send plagues on Tashbaan unless Susan was safely returned to her brothers and sister?

Based on the plagues song from Prince of Egypt, I can see Rabadash arguing with his father not to give in to threats from the Lion, that they should pray to their own gods instead. They can handle a blood river and frogs, right?

Then the locusts and flies arrive. The Tisroc has had enough. Their gods have not answered their prayers. And he isn’t going to risk the firstborn plague when he himself is a firstborn son.

Susan is sent back on a comfortable boat.

Rabadash loses his title after causing the plagues.

Hi, does anyone know the name or link of the fic where Marinette lost Plagg (and Kaalki) in Gotham. She find Kaalki but has to put up missing cat posters for Plagg. When she does find Plagg at Wayne manor, he is reluctant to leave until Marinette slyly tells him that normal cats cannot eat cheese.

Main thoughts on Miraculous Paris

1. When Betterfly rushed to fight the villains and left Marinette to watch behind a wall, I wanted to snap at her, “Quit stalling about what is going on and help Betterfly already! He’s losing badly.” (Even if I do find Tikki’s explanation for not explaining really adorable).

2. Shadybug and Claw Noir are so cool, even when bickering. For Shadybug, I admire her mastery of her power. She may not have Ladybug’s wacky creativity, but she is very efficient. Also, when she is reading Marinette’s diary, not sure how to explain, but her disgust at Marinette’s sweetness and crush on Adrien just exude an aura of cool. Maybe it’s because she isn’t losing her head (and morals) for love. Although, I am not a fan of her civilian jacket, it’s too bulky and unflattering. As for Claw Noir, he’s crazy to take on cataclysm, but I do admire his spiky belt and his civilian style.

3. Aw, parallel Adrien’s crush on Marinette is so longing and sweet.

4. What happened to Gabriel’s lesson about merging too many kwami? He did not divide Trixx, nor do I think he would remove Stompp’s power.

5. My suspicions for who the Supreme is: Master Fu.

6. Considering how the resistance knows Gabriel’s secret identity, I’m pretty sure Butterfly, Shadybug and Claw Noir will know each other’s after the movie.

7. I wish we could see Plagg and Tikki meet their parallel selves, especially since they “experience the parallel worlds simultaneously”

8. Did anyone else think Gabriel’s gave up on his last plan too easily? All he needed to do was de-akumatize Ladybug, or wait till Betterfly left.

Revelation AU

What if Felix took Adrien’s place again the day Lila tried to take over class rep duties.

Let’s just say thanks to his stalking, Felix knows Lila is a liar who makes Adrien uncomfortable and Marinette unhappy. He warns Kagami about it, who in turn wishes to expose Lila after being manipulated by her.

Knowing Lila has had too much time to sway the school to her side, Felix proposes an idea but needs Kagami’s help. Like Lila, Felix is a master at deception, at least when pretending to be Adrien.

When Gabriel fires Lila Rossi, Felix suspected Lila would want revenge on Adrien to hurt Gabriel. As such, he insisted that he take Adrien’s place for that day in school. Kagami lured Adrien and knocked him unconscious, allowing Felix to take his place while Kagami stayed with Adrien to keep him from interrupting their plan.

When Marinette tried to argue that Chloe should be punished for cheating, and how Caline suggested that Chloe was going to need a lot of work, Lila suggested she take over Marinette’s duties since Marinette is too busy with her love life.

Felix: I’m sorry, Lila. It’s just what you said. The reason you were not around to vote for Marinette is because you were on one of your MANY trips for charity. I know you’ve had more time for us now, except last I heard, you said you were going overseas. I know you’ll try to be there for us, but we all know how you can’t help answering the call for help from your many other friends overseas, even changing your plans at the last minute because you told us how much you cherish bonds overseas, knowing you can’t dismiss friendship that easily.

And just like that, Lila is also unreliable for being class president.

Lila: I will try to be there for the rest of the school year, even my mother put her foot down about that.

Felix quickly interrupts: Oh no! Are you that exhausted? We shouldn’t put more pressure on her.

Lila: But I have more free time on my hands.

Felix: Um, I heard you refuse to join Mylene’s cause to help Ramier’s cause to build pigeon shelters next week. And Marinette is not even going to be there! Not to mention I’m worried that Chloe might take advantage of you like she’s taking advantage of Sabrina, she’s already trying to take back power, but we all know that Chloe will dump her deputy duties on Sabrina, again. You’re too nice, Lila.

No matter what Lila says, Felix is ready to counter her.

And then comes the killing blow

Felix: I know you mean well, but my father also told about your special disease

He looked at Miss Caline Bustier, who now recalls Lila’s lying disorder

Felix: It’s embarrassing but my father does do background checking, Principal Damocles told him about your uncontrollable lying disease. I know Miss Bustier wanted to keep this a secret so we would not worry over you like we do over Rose, but we’re your friends Lila, you don’t have to hide this from us.

Alya is unsure if Adrien is telling the truth or he really wants to defend Marinette

Caline: I think you’re right Adrien. Lila needs all the support she can get, and she can only get that if we help her be honest

She just confirmed what “Adrien“ said.

The class is stunned. Lila really was a liar. And Ms Bustier did not even tell them. It was hard to tell whether their feelings of betrayal were directed more towards their naive teacher or Lila.

Lila herself was feeling quite furious with Adrien.

Naturally Hawkmoth was attracted to the akuma class…again.

He sensed Lila Rossi’s hatred to Adrien. Not a good idea. (Sure Lila tried to direct some hatred Marinette’s way but the latter was clearly surprised by Adrien’s move). Nathalie was already breathing down his neck on his treatment of Adrien.

Someone else in the class will have to do.

There was obviously a divide.

Some actually thought Lila had a lying disorder and could not control it.

Others like Alya Cesaire were immediately apologetic for not believing Marinette, cursing their own gullibility, and angry at Ms Bustier for keeping it from them.

Yes, Alya’s guilt was prime for akumatization.

Except…what is this? Her resistance to the akuma…it was so similar to…Viperion/Luka. Alya knows Ladybug’s secret identity.

True, Alya rejected the akuma and Hawkmoth summoned it back, but the idea that two friends of his son knew Ladybug suggested the possibility that the heroine herself was within Adrien’s social circle.

But who? He had akumatized most of them. All except…Marientte Dupain-Cheng!

Oh wait. If Alya is aware that Marinette is Ladybug, how could she actually believe that Ladybug is best friends with Lila?

No one is that stupid.

He discusses this with Nathalie.

Nathalie: but Alya is that gullible. Didn’t she believe Chloe of all people was Ladybug? Despite witnessing Ladybug saving Chloe from Stoneheart?

A pause.

Gabriel: it’s time we invited Marinette to our home again. It will be a chance for Adrien to tell her about his trip to London. (Aka akumatize and see if she really is Ladybug)

Meanwhile, Alya confessed Monarch discovered she knows Ladybug and has to leave town. She joins Luka with his dad and Penny.

Marinette feels guilty for telling Alya the truth. Tikki reminds her that Alya knowing has helped her before.

Before Alya left with Luka, the latter warned Marinette to be careful with her secret identity. “Monarch might decide to investigate our common friends. And you’re the one of the few he hasn’t akumatized.”

Marinette: few…Adrien! Wait, what am I saying, Adrien can’t be confused for Ladybug.

At the invitation for brunch, Gabriel knew Marinette was still oblivious to Adrien’s impending departure (he would have akumatized her otherwise).

Gabriel: I wouldn’t want to keep two lovebirds apart in these precious moments Adrien has in Paris.

Adrien dropped his fork. “Father!”

Marinette looked at her boyfriend in concern. “Adrien, what’s wrong?”

Gabriel: you didn’t tell her?

Adrien shut his eyes. “I’m moving to London at the end of the school year.”

Gabriel: as soon as the school day is over, he’ll be packing his bags.

Adrien: but I’ll miss the dance!

Gabriel: so is Kagami but I don’t hear her complaining to her mother.

Marinette understood immediately. Gabriel disapproved of her so much, he was willing to send Adrien away, take him away from his friends. “You can’t do that! It’s not right!”

“Oh, and what would you know of right, Ms Dupain Cheng. My own surveillance cameras have caught you spying on my house. Your male friends threw a wild party under my very roof while I was absent, draining even my back up power reserves. I’ve already shown my generosity by not suing them for the power disruption or demanding a restraining order on your presence. Do not test my patience.”

Marinette and Adrien were horrified, for different reasons. Adrien knew about Marinette’s stalker habits already but to hear that his father was capable of using the law to punish his friends…he knew he needed to tread carefully. Marinette was horrified to see her own flaws turned against her.

Gabriel settled down, forcing a smile on his face as he civilly asked, “And what do you think of my pancakes now, Marinette. Do you think my new recipe is better than before?”

Both knew they could not insult him and make their own situation worse, not when Gabriel has already proven himself of capable of following up his own threats.

“It’s certainly efficient,” Marinette finally managed.

They finished the breakfast in silence. Gabriel happily eating his pancakes. Marinette and Adrien holding hands tightly under the table.

Nathalie came in. “Adrien, your piano teacher is here.”

Gabriel: it’s been nice having you here again, Marinette. But good times never last long.

It took all Marinette’s willpower not to run or call Gabriel out for his cruelty. As soon as the coast was clear, she sank down against the wall and cried.

Her despair just begging Monarch to akumatize her.

Unfortunately for him, Tikki was also on alert should Marinette be depressed enough for an akuma. (Being in an akumatized purse was not fun!)

Tikki: Marinette, an akuma!

Marinette freaked and ran, worried that Ladybug’s immediate purification would give her identity away.

Rather than let the butterfly go rogue and cause another startrain, Monarch summoned the butterfly back. He can be patient. Sooner or later, Marinette has to break down and he will be ready.

Knowing she had to stay positive, Marinette devotes her energy to try to be optimistic, thinking of how she can get Gabriel to change his mind, or ways to make a long distance relationship work.

This was enough to make Gabriel give up and instead wait for Adrien to leave for London.

By that time, Marinette had already tried several plans to convince Gabriel to stay. She got Wayhem to organize Adrien’s fans to strike about Adrien’s departure but was countered by Gabriel saying Paris was too dangerous for Adrien. She threaten to call child care services except Adrien (influenced by the Graham wedding rings) vetoes this plan. She considered using Cosmobug to visit Adrien except Marinette doesn’t have the money or time to make such frequent visits plausible.

Eventually Marinette came to accept Adrien’s departure and both agree to work out a long distance relationship.

Gabriel is extremely disappointed that Marinette isn’t more unhappy when Adrien leaves. Oh well, it doesn’t matter. project Alliance will continue as plan.

Breakfast with a stranger

Thanks to his karate skills, Felix was able to knock his cousin unconscious.

As they are eating lunch after Kagami was reunited with Tomoe, Gabriel breaks in the bad news about the move to London

Felix: Adrien would be heartbroken if he knew the truth, uncle.

Nathalie and Gabriel stand up. “Felix!”

Felix holds up a finger. “Do you really want to make a scene to draw Ladybug to your own house again? She is ever so keen to confront Monarch, even more than me now.”

Nathalie: what do you want? Where is Adrien?

Felix: sleeping. And soon, he’ll be free of the both of you. I’m aware that you still have parental authority over Adrien, but if you’re in prison, I believe custody goes over to my mother. Especially since Nathalie doesn’t have long to live either.

Gabriel: then why haven’t you reported me in?

Felix: for some reason, Adrien actually loves you. But if you were to send him away from his girlfriend, I imagine he’ll get over your secret identity.

Gabriel: blackmail

Felix: you have such little time left uncle, try not to waste it making Adrien hate you.

Gabriel looked down and was shocked to see one of his gloves missing, exposing his blackened hand, without the rings.

Felix held them up. “It’s a pity I can’t save the kwamis too. But this will have to do.”

Gabriel: how dare you! Everything I am doing is to save your aunt and Nathalie.

Felix: you could have just gone back in time and fixed the broken peacock miraculous.

Nathalie: thank you! See he gets it!

Gabriel bared his teeth. “I will think on it.”

Felix: see that you do. Duusu, spread my feathers.

Gabriel slams the table in anger and calls Tomoe to report Felix’s threat.

Tomoe: get Ladybug and Chat Noir’s miraculous and it won’t matter because then we will win the war

Meanwhile, Argos visits Marinette and asks her to give Adrien his amok back in disguise so Gabriel can’t demand it back

Marinette asks why she would ever trust him.

Argos gives her Monarch’s stolen rings. “Is making his future akumas less powerful enough? Even if you don’t want to help me, we both want set Adrien free. These rings literally contain Adrien’s free will.”

Marinette sinks as the reality sets in. “Adrien is a sentimonster?”

Argos: please don’t call us that.

Marinette: sorry.

She looks down at the ring. “I’ll…do it. But only because Kagami recommended I give you a second chance if I should see you again.”

Felix smiles. “she really is special.”

Adrien happily wears his new ring and tells Marinette his father gives them his blessing.

The stone among diamonds

Yeah, Lila has an overinflated ego if she thinks she’s going to be invited to an upper class party because she’s a model. Only those born in prominent families are invited and Mrs Rossi clearly wasn’t. She overestimated herself and got too pushy.

When Kagami told Lila about the diamond dance and the latter expressed surprise at not being invited, Kagami’s answer was blunt.

“Of course not. You may be a model for Gabriel, Lila, but this dance is for those with connections, not for every model. Adrien is coming because he’s Gabriel’s heir. My family is ancient Japanese nobility. Chloe’s father is the mayor. If you do want to come, you should ask your mother. She’s the ambassador right? She should be invited. I know a few political diplomats who were.”

Lila feigned a smile, knowing full well her mother’s job was nowhere near prestigious enough for an invitation. “She did receive it but she rejected it. She’s never been one for parties. And it was just one invite.”

Kagami: oh, then I’m not sure what you can do. You can ask Gabriel if you may attend in your mother’s place.

Lila: I’ll be sure to do that. Besides, as the face of the Gabriel brand, I’m sure I’ll merit my own invitation

Kagami: don’t hold your breath on that count. You also have to have a rich background.

Lila: are you saying I look poor?

Kagami: no, but my mother trained me to watch for those who have money

Lila is annoyed. She calls Gabriel to get her invitation but he ignores her. Ugh! One way or another she is getting to that party.

But wait, wasn’t Zoe going to the movies with Marinette? As the daughter of style queen, she is sure to have an invitation.

Sure enough, Zoe doesn’t mind giving her invitation to Lila, who says she lost her own and Gabriel is too busy to bother.

At the party, Lila is all for schmoozing with the guests. She would have preferred the adults but the party was clearly divided between adults and kids.

To Lila’s dismay, her own introduction as the face of Gabriel and the daughter of an ambassador wasn’t impressive enough for these people. It wasn’t until she spun her usual lies of knowing Jagged Stone and Prince Ali that she actually got anywhere. (And even then the snobs were not impressed with her charity work, just her connections)

Another guest overheard and walked over. “Excuse me, is it true you worked with Prince Ali? I’m a fan of his work. Might I know your name, please?”

Lila smirked. “Lila Rossi. I worked with Ali on multiple projects and parties.”

The stranger unmasked himself. “I am Prince Ali of Achu, and I have never met you before in my life.” He paged his chaperone.

Soraya walked over. “What is going on here?”

Ali gestured to Lila. “I believe we do have a party crasher.”

Another guest called for security in a loud voice, drawing attention from the rest of the room.

The security drones analysed Lila’s mask and announced it belonged to Zoe Lee.

Chloe pushed her way over and gaped. “Lilo, what are you doing here?” (This is not a typo. Chloe actually called Lila Lilo during Confrontation)

Lila gritted her teeth. “Your sister lent me her invitation when I lost mine. As for this lying accusation, I wasn’t referring to Prince Ali, but another one from Egypt.”

Except the guests she had been trying to impress called her out on her lies.

Guest: isn’t she the alliance Lila?

Lila exhaled in relief. Perhaps her fame could still save her.

Soraya scowled at Gabriel. “You have made a disappointing choice, Gabriel.”

Guest: what a wannabe. I am so changing my alliance avatar.

Seeing the crowd murmuring in front and the adults whispering behind, Gabriel addressed the situation at hand. “I am aware of Lila’s behavior, that was why I had planned to announce at my diamond dance that Kagami would be taking her place.” Tomoe subtly activated the screens showing the new changes, simultaneously having all alliance rings updated.

Lila’s jaw dropped. Her fame gone, just like that. She was tempted to expose Gabriel for hiring her to spy on his son but she doubt it would change much in the face of all these snobs.

Soraya glared at Lila. “Whatever other claims you have made about Prince Ali, we will find out. Prepare yourself for a lawsuit.”

Surrounded by hostile faces, Lila looked for friendly faces.

Chloe wasn’t going to stand up for her.

Kagami was shocked at Lila’s appearance and the revelation that she was a liar.

Felix already knew Lila was a spy and was fine with her current predicament.

Gabriel just fired her. “Escort the Miss wearing Zoe Lee’s mask out of my party.”

Lila was practically boxed in by 4 drones. Chloe snapped a photo because it was kind of funny

Meanwhile as Kagami protested having their avatars be in a romantic relationship, Felix revealed himself.

Cue Canon ending

Now, Rose received word from Ali asking what she knew about Lila. She was shocked that her friend was a liar and that Marinette was telling the truth. Did this mean that Marinette was indeed framed?

Rose calls Marinette to apologize and suggest that they tell Miss Bustier. However Marinette tells Rose that both teacher and principal know the truth. However Lila used the same reason Rose kept her illness a secret to keep them from telling the class.

Rose: this can’t be how it ends. Ali will expose Lila in public, it will be on the news, she can’t hide it then.

Indeed, Lila knew she couldn’t. So it was time to become Cerise once again and abandon Lila.

But Monarch has not seen the last of her. Neither has Prince Ali.

Does anyone think that Monarch giving the King of Plastic the bee’s power was unnecessary? The akuma’s powers both freeze the victim. Him immobilising them with venom first just wastes time.

Recreation review

I am still pondering about Gabriel’s wish, because him giving up his hours of life to restore Nathalie’s health is hardly balanced.

I have 2 theories but they depend on Emelie

1) Emelie is resurrected via Gabriel’s death and possibly something else. Nathalie’s health was restored but her terminal illness was passed on to the next wielder of the butterfly miraculous, someone Gabriel knew would be a villain.

2) If Emilie is still dead, then I say that Gabriel’s doomed life to save Nathalie’s wasn’t enough of a price. Lila had to be cursed to make up for that wish.

Despite Felix practically telling Marinette his uncle (the tailor) is Monarch, she doesn’t grasp that. Come on, who else would have the peacock miraculous!

As for Lila, i suspect she knows who Ladybug is, and she definitely know who certain holders are. I will be disappointed if no one recognizes Lila’s new disguise. Her facial structure and voice should at least strike some familiarity! How does Damocles not recognise her voice!? Lila never stops talking that even I recognised it.

I suspect Ladybug’s decision to distribute the miraculous…may not be so successful considering Lila and Tomoe know the secret identities of certain holders. Also, is trusting Kim, the insensitive boy with a miraculous so wise? I have a feeling all heroes may show up whenever an akuma arrives (good thing the new school doesn’t have classes or it would be strange to have the entire class missing), and unless Lila’s akumas are far more competent, the future battles will be overkill.

I do wonder how Tomoe will continue to play the villain. Will she team up with the new Hawkmoth, unaware that it is Lila, the girl Gabriel tossed away for her daughter?

Detransforming to offer Monarch mercy was such a dumb move

Personally I don’t mind Ladybug covering up Monarch’s crimes if he decides to turn over a new leaf when he already won. But making him into a hero is a bit too much for a terrorist! And she says she hates liars! What a hypocrite!

Also, Ladybug’s transformation to Bug Noir has awesome music and slow mo effects, her name however makes me cringe.

Bully has got a point

As the students protest for the return of Principal Damocles and Miss Bustier, Lila feeds Chloe lines to make them look incompetent in front of the camera, her revenge against them for expelling her

Chloe: right, you want me to re-hire the man who leaves during school hours just to do community services, modified public property to become his own playground headquarters and didn’t even hear out your case Dupain-Cheng before expelling you when Lila framed you

Marinette: you framed me too!

Chloe: that was Vanisher remember? And as Ladybug said, akumas don’t deserved to be punished while being under Monarch’s thrall. Oh, and you want Miss Fairytale to return. Does no one find it odd how our studies are centered on fairy tales instead of actual literature? I may not like you Dupain-Cheng but surely even you notice how it is strange for a teacher to judge and sentence first before learning the real cause. Didn’t Miss Bustier scold you in private after you lashed out over my silly prank, but was all for accusing you of cheating in public? Isn’t that why Stoneheart was even in school in the first place? And to love our enemies instead of punishing them, I suppose if she had it her way, we would be trying to reach out to Monarch and Lila and welcoming them to a forgiveness party.

The reporters exchange glances.

Caline and Damocles ducked their heads under the public lashing.

Alya: and since when have you cared about Marinette, Chloe?

Chloe: since I heard that the rest of you actually tried to get Gabriel akumatized. The man was trying to be better and closer to Adrien, but thanks to you all, he’s decided to send Adri-traitor back to London where he can be free from all of your bad influence

Nadja: Marinette, is this true?

Marinette: it’s not true! I mean it is, but we were trying to find out how Monarch gave miraculous abilities to akumas.

Chloe: by antagonising a man still mourning his wife. What an excellent idea. Do you still think the school system was so perfect before?

Marinette belatedly realized what Chloe said and looked to Adrien in horror. “Adrien, is this true, you’re moving?”

Chloe: aw he didn’t tell you yet. You should have, Adri-traitor. We both know your dad might decide to bump your flight earlier at any time

Adrien: it’s true. I didn’t say anything because I’ve been trying to find a way to stop him

Chloe: and since his dad’s decision is based on all your ideas, that’s why he decided to go solo here

Adrien: no, it’s not

Chloe: I have 2 things to tell you before I leave this ridiculous city behind. 1. Don’t think you’re safe for one moment, Dupain-Cheng. I may not be around anymore but Lila still is.

Marinette: What? Lila?

Chloe: Did you honestly think she would be gone for good? We both know how much she loves holding a grudge. And please, that whole fake slap act, not really my style, and we both know it.

Marinette was stunned. Her broken heart temporarily forgotten as the threat of Lila made itself known. “Why are you telling me this?”

Chloe: Because the traitor left me to the mob. I haven’t heard a word from her since. With that lying tongue of hers, she could have fed me lines to mother so daddy wouldn’t get his way. I don’t like you, Dupain-Cheng. But you’re the only I know of who has put Lila in her place.

Marinette: Lila was with you during your election as mayor?

Chloe: with me? She was the one with this whole stupid idea in the first place. I knew accepting an akuma was a bad idea but she insisted I do it.

Marinette gasped. Lila always played a bigger game. Why would she want Chloe akumatized? Why would she abandon Chloe? The answer was obvious. She got what she wanted and no longer needed Chloe.

(Or Lila abandoned Chloe once she lost all power).

Marinette: What’s the second thing then?

Chloe: Oh, Adri-traitor is moving to London. How funny that it’ll just be like the old times. The two of us alone, and you not part of our social circle. Isn’t that sad?

She gave a cruel laugh.

Marinette said coldly, “Quiet, Chloe. I already know about Adrien because he told me. I also know that he loves me, and he is through with you and your ridiculous ways. Unless you have anything more to add about Lila, I’m hanging up.”

Chloe paused. She exhaled. “Fine. Lila told me that the war has only just started. And it won’t just be you she’s after. I’m not sure about the rest of the losers in our class, but other than you, she definitely dislikes Ms Bustier.“

Marinette: Ms Bustier didn’t even do anything to her.

Chloe: I know. But it was her idea to get Caline fired. One more thing. She was insistent I work with Gabriel and the blind woman, wanting me to have a live camera on at all times so she could see them.

Marinette: She must still hold a grudge against Gabriel for firing her.

Chloe: obviously. When we got Sabrina to fake the forms, Lila was all for making Adrien’s fake answer as worse as possible. So much for having a crush on the traitor. That’s all. Have fun at the dance, racoon eyes.

Then she hung up, unwilling to let Dupain-Cheng have the last word.

Marinette stood alone. Tikki came out. “So Lila is still here. And I have no idea what she’s planning.”

This was supposed to have been the perfect night. Chloe gone. A romantic dance. Instead, Lila was still around, and Marinette had no way of keeping tabs on her. Worst of all, Adrien was moving to London.

Revolution review

Forget the fact that Gabriel is Monarch and akumatized Chloe, the fact that Marinette wants to ask him for help when he obviously disapproves of her is a ridiculous plan. Also, she could have just transformed and swung her way to Paris. I am pretty sure Astrobug is a lot faster than her scooter.

Gabriel, maybe let the experienced swordswoman pick up her important computer. She can’t be that defenseless against a mob.

There is no way Lila could have planned for Tomoe to accidentally drop her computer. What exactly was she planning for by letting Monarch akumatize Chloe? I wonder if the Tsurugi laptop is that secure against a determined hacker…

Love Nooroo’s line. Basically saying, you forced them to grow up. Nice job fixing it, villain.

Kind of disappointed the Owl didn’t use his magical charm shield.

I’m surprised by Chloe’s angry reaction to Audrey’s berating her. True, she’s isn’t speaking back to her mother but i would have thought she’d be cowed by her. It’s almost sweet how she pauses on Sabrina’s face and looks sad, missing her lackey. Yeah, Sabrina is better off without her. Good riddance to that toxic relationship.

Two Princes to the Rescue

How is it that all the guests to the diamond dance are snobs…? Come on, Prince Ali is there and he’s known for charity. He could not even bother to defend Marinette?

As Chloe exposed Marinette at the Diamonds Dance and everyone insulted her, a masked man who sounded familiar stepped forth. “That’s enough everyone! You all ought to be ashamed of yourselves for your behavior.”

Marinette: prince Ali?

Ali unmasked himself and smiled at Rose’s friend. “Your courage is admirable, Miss. Adrien is lucky to have you by his side.”

Felix: thank you. It’s nice to know there are actual diamonds here.

He extended a hand to Kagami to join their small circle.

Chloe: you can’t be serious! She’s a baker girl!

Another boy stepped up. He unmasked himself. It was Damien Wayne. He glowered at Chloe, reminding everyone why he was dubbed the ice prince. “And aren’t you the girl who endangered a whole train of innocent people just so you could save them, only for Ladybug and Chat Noir having to do all the work?”

Chloe: you-!

Ali: Damien, nice to see you again

Damien: Prince Ali, you’re the only person I find tolerable among the rest of these peacocks.

Seeing a prince and the famous Wayne heir support the baker girl, those who previously expressed their disdain for Marinette shut their mouths, knowing they couldn’t risk their families connections.

But of course Felix was not going to stop his plan. “Thank you both. You are indeed diamonds hidden amongst these fakes.”

The return of Amy Squirrel

“When the superintendent personally asks you to work at one of the worst schools…you say yes.”

Not only is Amy a more suspicious teacher than Ms Bustier, but she will be taking over Ms Bustier’s class while the latter is on maternity leave.

Now Amy may treat everyone like they are in kindergarten, but she has a history. She was forcibly transferred after her rival framed her for being on drugs. Said rival Elizabeth was now a guidance counselor but it galled Amy to be sent to Paris, aka the emotionally troubled city, to teach the akuma class, under false charges. In hindsight, she really should have returned Elizabeth’s desk after stealing it to check for drugs.

The unfairness and humiliation made Amy reflect on the situation and she vowed to be smarter, more prepared to see through such tricks.

Naturally, when it comes to Chloe’s bullying, Amy puts Chloe in a time out. When Chloe calls her father angrily, but Amy scolds her for talking to her father as if he is her servant. And Chloe is making her family look bad. Audrey happens to be near Andre when Amy says this and hearing this, agrees Claudine should be disciplined and gives Amy free reign. Until she is respectable, she isn’t a Bourgeois. Chloe is akumatized except Amy has a solution for this. While the butterfly is happily accepted by Chloe, Amy punches her, knocking her unconscious while Alya posts on her blog about the akuma so Ladybug has an excuse to come purify the butterfly.

Chloe: You punched me!

Amy: Your mother authorised me to use any means to make sure you don’t keep embarrassing her. Frankly, you losing again to Ladybug would be humiliating since it just enforces to your mother that you are a loser.

Chloe is stunned to see she has lost influential power. Aka she can be sent to detention and her parents won’t help her.

Now, Marinette is holding a car wash for a future field trip. Seeing Marinette’s clumsy and efficient record (she was practically doing half of Caline’s work for the pregnant lady), Amy did not mind. She minded however when Lila, who did not show up at the car wash at all, said she felt bad about not being able to help and volunteered to help with the money arrangements.

Marinette and Caline: Absolutely not

The class was stunned. Marinette was not expecting someone to be on her side.

Caline: I know your reputation for being charitable Lila, unfortunately it is that reputation that leads me to mistrust you with this. Mylene told me how you had donated the money she organised to your fundraiser for the poor instead of her preferred save the earth charity. While the cause is still noble, the donators wanted the money to go to the earth. I cannot risk you donating our fundraiser trip money to another one of your noble causes. If you are that worried about their causes, you can ask your class to help with another fundraiser, except Marinette and Alya, they need to help me plan the field trip.

Lila gritted her teeth. This immature teacher was a hindrance!

Amy had done her research on Lila too. A disturbing number of ailments and disorders, long leaves of absences with parent approval, and she was not unaware how the class catered to Lila by helping her copy notes, buy her lunch, carry her backpack, etc. All in all, Amy would not want to look before she leapt and think Lila a liar but she finds her suspicious. When she confides to Damocles, he mentions Lila’s lying disorder.

Amy: THAT’S BONKERS! And if she is telling the truth, how can you know when she lies, we need a proper authority figure to guide us on how to help accommodate Lila’s needs. We cannot trust the poor girl whose ability to distinguish fact from fiction is so hampered.

Damocles: I have tried reaching out to her mother, but she’s so busy, I’m afraid emails are allowed. Rest assured they are detailed.

Having dealt with Elizabeth, Amy was not discounting the possibility that the email was a fake.

Amy: May I see Mrs Rossi’s occupation? What job is more important than being here for her daughter.

Principal passed her a paper. “She’s the ambassador of Italy.“

Amy: And what does it mean for Italy if she cannot even be there for her child?

Principal had no idea how to respond to that.

Amy personally went to the embassy to talk to Mrs Rossi and boy was there some clarifications to be made.

If Amy was immature, Diplomat Rossi was oblivious/ignorant. The diplomat readily agreed to come with Amy and see the principal.

The next morning, Lila was called to the principal’s office where she was roundly scolded for lying and framing Marinette.

Damocles: Lila Rossi, you are hereby expelled.

Lila promptly runs away, to become Cerise. She has 2 more mothers to financially rely on.

Mrs Rossi speaks to the class and tells them the truth about Lila. She apologises to Marinette. She also asks that if Lila should contact them, to call her.

Only, Lila isn’t answering any of their calls.

Marinette is so thrilled with Amy handling her bullies. She is so much more efficient than Ms Bustier!

Her efforts were enough to get her promoted from substitute to main teacher.

Confrontation thoughts

Sabrina finally draws the line. But considering how much bullying she was willing to help Chloe with in the past, I suspect part of her switching sides is due to how Chloe and Lila both treat her like a machine than a friend. Chloe is far worse to Sabrina now, especially when Sabrina can see how much better Chloe treats Lila, her new friend.

I’m happy that Marinette finally exposed Lila. Granted, I wish she could have stopped the plan beforehand but without proof that would have been impossible. Perhaps Marinette could have asked the students to check her work before she passed them on to Lila and Chloe. They probably would claimed she switched them later on with ready fake forms.

Chloe proves once again she is too dumb to live when she doesn’t try to stop the akuma. Have all those akuma attacks on her person not affected her at all? Disappointed that she won’t be really punished but that’s been happening throughout the show. I do wonder what she plans to do for homework submissions…probably ask her butler to take over Sabrina’s role.

Lila’s new name and outfit is not as surprising as her hair change. But still…Cerise’s classmates actually didn’t see the resemblance to the Lila avatar from the alliance ring? Seriously? Even the romper stayed the same. Her face and voice are the same! Even the fake achievements sound the same!

Sure Cerise can claim to be related to Lila or have inspired the Lila avatar, but really, no one in her class finds it weird that their classmate is missing while Lila is making a name in the modelling world?

I’m happy the magical charms finally show more potential, especially since I found Ladybug creating them post megaakumas kind of pointless
