3am lady warden mage thoughts that may change later who knows

was brought into the circle at a very young age after having a small outburst of cold magic in public

had a baby somewhere around the age of,,, 17?18?? as a result of Relations with another mage. she got to spend one day with her baby boy before he was taken away; not long after that the mage that she had hooked up with disappeared as well, no explanation was given but she assumed the worst.

those events resulted in a complete loss of faith in both the maker and the system of the chantry & circle, domino effects over the years into a Very Angry lady who hurts at every injustice done to her and her fellow mages.

somewhere around the age of 25-26 she's approached by a young apprentice who trusts in her enough to reveal that she is with child and is terrified of the consequences because the father is a templar. lady warden decides Fuck This bc she sees so much of herself in the girl and enacts the escape plan she'd been working in for well over a year at that point to escort the apprentice from the tower and try to get her to safety. some time later they get caught by templars (before or after the birth idk) and lady warden is not long from being executed when warden sylarre saves her life by whipping out the rite of conscription.

not as outwardly aggressive with her hatred for the circle/templars/etc as somebody like greer, more like having a constant simmering anger below the surface whenever they're mentioned or on the mind.

never felt at home in the circle after The Events, but was able to find that comfort with the wardens despite all of the obvious cons that come with being one of them. is a Little bit reluctant to recruit wardens because of those cons but doesn't cause too much of a fuss about it unless the situation really steams her nuggets.

is either a rift mage or a knight-enchanter, not sure which yet. specializes in cold magic because it's sexy and i think she deserves it

put on the warden's mage armor for the first time and immediately started checking herself out in the closest reflective surface, that's an important detail trust me

actually that does make me think more about an emma flaw that i didn't predict but has manifested the more i think about it, being emma's,,,, naivety?? when it comes to how wounded she is when learning people keep things from her, or they change and pull away. because for what is essentially all of her life, emma has lived with a family that is open with each other and talks about things frequently (because of both mom's distaste for lying and dad's belief of being open and honest). merrill pulling away from her was the first instance of it and easily the worst, but it extends to little moments with her party members and such as well. and it's just so interesting thinking about things from that,,,Perspective of a little lady who has only ever known being Open and Honest with others, trying to comprehend and learn that not everyone subscribes to those beliefs or is even capable of them
