This image is Akechi's wish, too. I am emotionally devastated but also extremely pleased because this basically is an official, word of god statement to finally put to rest whether or not he actually hates Joker. Source is the P5R artbook. Image from here.

So, today I was on Reddit reading about KOSA, and I found this on r/AO3
Tumblr media
Here's the Invest in Child Safety Act, it only has *five* cosponsors compared to KOSA's sixty-three.. wonder why..
Anyways, I was wondering, could steering reps away from KOSA while leading them towards other and SAFER bills help? :P
If these bills really ARE safer, wouldn't it give us a better chance of KOSA not being passed if we gave our Senators and Reps examples of alternative bills they could support?
Like, instead of just saying "DON'T DO THIS!!!" We could say "DON'T DO THIS, but THIS is a better alternative that will keep everyone safe AND actually be helpful."
I have a feeling most of the Democrats supporting this bill have fallen for the "We're protecting the children!!" farse. So, let's not just tell them the problem, but offer a solution! An alternative that will ACTUALLY protect children.
I suppose I got lucky with those first few KOSA posts, and I don't know if anybody will see this.. but it was just a thought I had, plus the Reddit post doesn't have a lot of traction either, so I thought I'd try and share it.
Please post this on other sites, on Twitter, TikTok, other Reddit pages, etc. I only ask that you cover-up my username :]
Also use the tag #Invest in Child Safety Act if you reblog this!

If you had told me a few months ago that I'd be deeply emotionally invested in writing a friendship between a 13 year old Akechi and Taro Namatame, I would've probably been... intrigued, but also surprised. Now I sit here, writing Akechi's Rank 6 with Namatame after some big developments in the chapter I'm working on and I'm like, "Oh. They are actually really sweet in this story and this may be one of his most interesting Social Links." Every time I think who the MVP is gonna be in this arc, it changes. Could be Dojima. Could be Namatame. Could be [SPOILERS REDACTED]. ...tbh, that last one ended up surprising me when writing the pivotal scene in this chapter. Anyway, Taro Namatame is actually a fairly interesting and tragic character and there's a certain irony to Akechi having a link with him since, like Namatame, his canon counterpart didn't have the guidance of the mascot character to help him understand the supernatural cogntiive world stuff. Ow.

I found your fic "The Crow Cries at Midnight" this last week and love it so much. It's definitely one of the things that made being laid up with a broken leg bearable[lol].
Can I say I have this scene in my head based on TCCaM met the Canon P5 gang during PQ2. That if I had any skill or means I would happily draw.
Where, little Akechi walks up to his older au self and states with a Tilted head, "You are aware putting a mask on with the outfit our shadow wore before he became Robin Hood doesn't make it any less ridiculous looking for someone your age. Right?" While Canon Akechi looks down, nearly poking the child with the beak of the mask, on this sassy 13 year old him going wtf mentally over and over and the confused PTs in the background
Aww, happy that my fic could provide some enjoyment. Sorry about your leg, tho. D: That definitely can't be fun. Also, that sounds super comical, tbh. x) The red mask is very pointy and pokey. Tbh, I've actually RPed the Akechi in the fic off of a canon Akechi, and it's been very enjoyable. I love the idea of AUs crossing over or AUs and canon. There's so much fun to be had.

When you're a 13 year old Goro Akechi and you're very slowly accepting that your current parental figure isn't bad and it's actually rather nice to have a father figure that gives a shit. A patron requested art piece for my fic, The Crow Cries at Midnight!

Sunday was the ideal opportunity to get everyone up to speed on recent news. However, a place as public was Junes was far too risky to discuss something as massive as an idol's pending arrival. Thus, rather than meet at their usual hangout, the Investigation Team instead made their way to the gazebo in the flood plain, clustered together at the table as Akechi and Naoto prepared to deliver the details.
It seemed the sudden gathering left many questions hanging overhead, as Chie, Yukiko, and Yosuke all stared intensely at Akechi and Naoto from across the table, while Yu watched calmly with his hands laced together, and Kanji just awkwardly fidgeted to Akechi's right.
Then Chie, ever the bold one, broke the ice with a simple question. "So, what're we doing out here?"
Well then. Time to cut to the chase.
Akechi leaned over the table, palms pressed to its surface. "What we're about to tell you is highly confidential. I couldn't risk the crowds at Junes overhearing us."
To Akechi's left, Naoto folded his hands and said, "To call it sensitive would be an understatement. So regardless of personal interests…" He gave Yosuke a particularly pointed look. "You must agree to keep this between us. That means no telling peers, no sharing 'leaks' online, and no divulging this knowledge with your families."

Undertale's No Mercy Run is vastly misunderstood, as the fandom fixates so much on hyping up the Sans battle that many of the route's brilliant deconstructive elements fall by the wayside. In this video, I go in-depth about the route and the way it functions as a deconstruction of RPG tropes, an exploration of how we as players relate to video games, how it sets up a mirror for the players through Flowey, and also just break down the cool elements and writing in each section of the route in addition to those hyped up moments.

Rebloggin' cause I ended up posting this spontaneously last night and AO3 was kind of a butt about it.
Akechi woke to an empty room. Yu's futon lay rolled up against the wall. Was he even still at home? Perhaps a bit hasty, Akechi scampered downstairs to find Yu stuffing his backpack with various odds and ends for his camping trip. Rather than join him on the way to school, Yu headed off in a different direction, toward the campsite. Though Nanako joined Akechi that morning, once she parted ways to go to her own school, he found himself well and truly alone.
It was fine, really. He still had Nanako. Still walked her home, but restlessness kept him from staying home that afternoon. Desperate to occupy his thoughts, Akechi rode his bike to the Samegawa riverbank, where he gathered a pile of flat stones and sat down by the river's edge. One by one, he then flicked them across the water, watching them skip along, as he had with Kanji several times before. Just what was he doing now? Hopefully the trash cleanup had subsided. Surely he and the others had found a way to have at least some fun on their trip...
It was fine. Akechi was perfectly fine. It wasn't as though he hadn't spent afternoons without them before, so why was now any different? He just needed to focus. He just needed to relax...
And so he did, at least for a time. Each rock made it easier to tune out his surrounding. Each subsequent throw became more fluid, more automatic...
Until a sharp, unfamiliar voice cut through the air and shattered his focus. "All alone, skipping rocks? Man, your little 'friends' must be stone cold." Previous Chapter | Full Chapter | Read from the Beginning -- When I realized I had a short chapter queued up, I decided I'd just do two updates this week. Yay!

It's incredibly miniscule and kinda weird but I appreciate how the prejudices in dungeon meshi are more complex and realistic as opposed to the hamfisted and borderline cheesy bigotry that usually shows up in fantasy media
Like it isn't just "humans are ASSHOLES who hate everybody", every race has a different dynamic with each other and a different stereotype they try to shake off (halfling adventurers are often treated as disposable meat shields, elves have a bad habit of being patronising and unwittingly cruel to the shorter-lived races due to the differences in age, humans tend to regard elves as exotic, scheming foreigners etc.), and it makes the world feel more interconnected and realistic while still being hopeful that these attitudes can someday change
