MITZI BY POLTRONOVA
The Mitzi sofa — 1981, for Poltronova — part of the rich production of the Austrian master Hans Hollein, highlights a rigorous design while staging of a dialectic between different connotations and symbolisms. Soft and rigid elements are present together in the materials and forms. Upholstered cushions and soft wool cloth come alongside the walnut, both solid and in sheets, of the structure, and the curved line of the backrest coexists with the straight line at the base, masculine and feminine together: a sofa with a woman’s name.

SOFO COLLECTION BY POLTRONOVA
Sofo is a seat to place in a row, like a train, or to stack to build solid, colorful mountains. It is simply a block made with an S—shaped cut from a cube of polyurethane, covered with fabric featuring two large stripes. The result of a very simple operation, without wasted material or thought. It presents itself as a compact, abstract, colorful object that communicates the joy of living, like things that arrive from another world.

BLOW INFLATED ARMCHAIR BY ZANOTTA
The Blow inflatable armchair was designed in 1967 by Jonathan De Pas, Donato D’Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi (with Scolari). Blow, the first Italian inflatable design object, soon became the symbol of the new free and light style, and represented the embodiment of the utopian design project by Marcel Breuer as an article of furniture supported by a column of air, in addition to confirming how Zanotta has consistently combined research and the promotion of experimental products to an evolved public over the years. In the wake of their success at the 1968 Furniture Show, the designers created other visionary inflatable objects in transparent PVC, such as those displayed in the Pneumatic Hall at the 2nd Eurodomus Show in Turin. Although the armchair is currently out of production, Blow is nowadays considered a symbolic object of the legendary ‘60s, one of the most important “pop” items and as such it is taken as a model of the social and cultural changes of those years.

4/4 Coffee Table by B-Line
From the drawing board of Rodolfo Bonetto in 1969, 4/4 represents the typical multi-functional product that can easily adapt to setting and use, in this way allowing continually new interpretations of the spaces in which we live. Curving lines, glossy plastic and easy dovetailing turn the four elements making it up into a round coffee table, a serpentine table, a modular bookcase or even a corner shelving. Made in injection-moulded ABS plastic, 4/4 is a clever solution for the home, study or waiting rooms. For lovers of this kind of genre, it appears with Sean Connery in the 007 film “Diamonds are Forever”.

Plywood Mobile by Vitra
In the early 1940s, Charles and Ray Eames conducted a series of experiments for the purpose of refining their plywood moulding techniques. These investigations led to the creation of two objects whose biomorphic shapes are strongly reminiscent of Ray's artwork and graphics. The Eameses hung them as mobiles from the ceiling of their Los Angeles apartment. Each Plywood Mobile consists of two abstract, organically shaped plywood elements that playfully revolve around one another.
