Jurdan gets funnier and funnier the more you think about them and realize how much of a big loser both of them are when it comes to love.
Mfs get married to supposedly "form a trustworthy alliance" -> Cardan exiles Jude the next day to impress her, because apparently his rizz disappears when it truly matters 💀 -> Jude takes it seriously, stays in the human world for months and is salty af -> Cardan cries himself to sleep and writes pathetic little letters to her. Like wow you did that to yourself you dumb bitch 😭
And don't get me STARTED on their dumbass confessions. Cardan's was, I'm pretty sure, 80% on a whim. Like, maybe he had prepared the words in his mind but he didn't plan to confess to her right then and there at such a bad time. Says "well you probably already guessed as much" at the end then RUNS AWAY probably because he's overwhelmed and Jude is left standing there like???? No I fucking didn't guess you liked me lmao??? I'm dumb af bro, should've been this direct from the start :')
And Jude's is also hilarious because she says it kind of hurriedly as soon as they're alone, since she had promised herself to tell him the first moment they get together. Girlie confesses and CARDAN DOESN'T BELIEVE HER 😭 so homegirl has to EXPLAIN in DETAILS when she thinks she started to fall for him, why she started to like him, why she believed he didn't like her and why she felt the need to hide it. And ONLY after that whole ass explanation Cardan's finally like "omg!!! You liked me because I'm clever and funny?!?? Omgggg..."
Those fuckers were really married for months before fumbling their way through awkward confessions because they can't indulge in the thought that the other likes them. Like they were legit EMBARRASSED to admit that they like eachother while being MARRIED. Please this is so unserious, get real.

Throne Of Glass **WITH BIG SPOILERS**
i have just finished Kingdon Of Ash and i am DEPRESSED. i have become so attached to this series that now im sad i cannot continue on with these characters.
the final book had me sobbing not stop in its final moments. even though i knew The Thirteen were going to do The Yielding i did not expect them to do it in the way they did, but im especially happy that Asterin was the one to finally end Mother Blackbeak.
but Sarah, I NEED A MANON AND DORIAN BOOK. i just want to see Manon (and Abraxos) heal from her loss and finally find peace with Dorian by her side.
i adore Aelin as a main character mainly because she reminds me so much of Villanelle from Killing Eve. her and Rowans relationship made me also emotional seeing most the things they did were things she corrected from her time with Sam. like with the soap, she never let Sam use her expensive soap but its the first thing she gives Rowan.
the graveyard scene where Rowan put the stone on Sams grave as a thank you was an attack from Sarah herself.
going into this i had never even heard of Erawan, even from the things about the series i already knew, i just always thought Maeve was the main villain, and in a way she was. Sarah did an excellent job with Maeves character because there were so many times in the final book where i question if she really was the bad guy. i believe she really did want to save Erilea and she had good intentions but after some time she started to lose her grasp on what she truly stood for and started to see alternative ways to get what she wanted, even if that made her the villain. there was a moment where i thought maybe she was going to turn good with Dorian but then i realized that damn this entire time i was being manipulated.
YRENE KILLING ERAWAN?! DIDNT SEE THAT COMING
this is completely all over the place but so this isnt massively long here are some short thoughts:
- Lysandra and Aedion are cute
-will never forgive Gavriels death
-Lorcan i warmed up to you
- Chaol your book was so boring mainly because i dont like you but i love your wife so i stuck through it
- seeing all the character from The Assassins Blade pop up made my heart soar
- Manon, Elide and Abraxos are the best charcters and i will die on that hill
- Nesryn loved you, you were fun. have fun being empress and shout out to the rukkins and Sartaq
-Manon and Elides friendship gave me butterflies
- hey Feyre nice to see you pop up, btw your child will kill you when you give birth to it, be better to Nesta
- Rysand cool to see you, thanks for slowing Aelin down but could you tell your wife that her life and the baby's life is in danger, thank you
- that fight between Manon and Aelin will always be one of the best
-Dorian finding some sort of peace with his father (also him being named after his father :') ) im happy for him but another reason i need a him and Manon book is because wtf happened with his mother and brother, do they just chill in a mountain now?
-Fenrys im glad you got your justice in killing Maeve
-every time the Thirteen showed up i lost my shit. big rest in peace i hope Asterin is with her man and baby again.
-kinda wish the guys from Mistward were at Aelins coronation
- RIP Sam hope you beat the shit out of Arobynn in the Afterworld
- Rip Elena, you kinda deserved it but not in that way
- REST IN PEACE NEHEMIA I WILL FOREVER LOVE YOU
- another example that we need a Manorian book is where the fuck did the Bluebloods Matron go?
-shout out Rolfe
- shout out Fleetfoot
my full thoughts from every book would take forever but here is my ranking (for now):
Kingdom Of Ash > Queen Of Shadows > Heir Of Fire > Empire Of Storms > Crown Of Midnight > Throne Of Glass > Assassins Blade > Tower Of Dawn
5/5

what are our thoughts on The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller?
i thought it was cute for a little stand alone sort-of-enemies-to-lovers, there were parts where i thought it was maybe the tiniest bit rushed but it had some fun friendships and women empowerment.
ending to me was predictable but also not because i forgot the important piece of information (it was mention like twice and somehow went over my head of being a possiblity)
that gentleman's club scene tho 👀
i liked out main character, she was funny to me how shes under investigation for murder and is just mildly annoyed by it.
this was just my rushed little thoughts because i read it like a month ago and only now decided why not turn this into a full review page for when i read.
3/5 stars

Here it is! Part 1 of a new parody series of illustrations themed as Jude in Wonderland! Ever since book 1 of The Folk of the Air, I had always loved the symbolism of Cardan considering Jude the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ of Elfhame.
I thought it would be fun to re-imagine these characters in the roles of the classic tale, but with a TFOTA twist. This first illustration has Alice!Jude meeting Cheshire!Cardan. And yes, Cardan has cat ears! I thought these two paired nicely with this iconic exchange:
… said the Cat: “we’re all mad here.  I’m mad.  You’re mad.” “How do you know I’m mad?“ said Alice. "You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.”
I’ve mentioned before how I found Cardan so closely aligned with Cheshire - clever with his words, no alliances, disappears with a grin. This exchange just solidified it for me.
I went HAM on this environment here, which I normally don’t enjoy doing. But by combining it with some Gustav Klimt-inspired textures, I had a little bit more passion fueling my pursuit at creating a Wonderland / Elfhame landscape. I have two more of these illustration planned with this parody crossover; so stay tuned!

*spoilers*
So I finished the shadow and bone trilogy and I would like to talk about it. usually with fantasy I'm always iffy with the first book, so I only really got into it when Alina and Mal were hunting for the stag.
But damn was Siege and Storm fun. I see everyone on mainly booktok talk about how they don't like it but honestly, I liked it better than Shadow and Bone mainly because of the ending (and Nikolai of course). when I tell you I got so hyped when Alina and The Darkling had the face off in the chapel, I mean I had to do laps around my house while thinking it over. she really pulled the uno reverse on him and got a cool hair colour out of it.
speaking of Alina and The Darkling, I wasn't really feeling the chemistry between them in the first book, but the second book did a good job in making me actually feel for them. because yes, he betrayed her and is cruel towards her but I always think back to the scene when Alina is studying (i think) and The Darkling shows up and he says this one line: “Then I’d be alone too.”
something about that line really hit me. I feel the darkling did have some love for Alina, but i think it was twisted and blinded by his greed for the Ravkan throne. Aline truly was the yang to his yin when it came to power and maybe even love. I read Ruin and Rising after watching the Netflix show so I didn't understand the uproar about everyone upset with the name and after reading it I am also disappointed they let his name out that easily. in the book Alina and Baghra (rip my queen your death almost made me cry) are the only ones that know it basically meaning they were the only ones that knew the true him and when the Darkling is dying and he just wanted Alina to say his name, a tear almost came to my eye.
this is a really unstructured way of talking about this but here is my short conclusion.
Characters:
Show Mal>>>>>Book Mal
Zoya you were kinda annoying in the first two, came to love you tho
Tamar and Tolya yall were cool, loved the axes
We love our King Of Scars
Genya you were fun and glad you got your justice against the king
David youre doing great sweety
Nadia you were eh
and finally, the apparat can seriously just fuck off. you think Alina wants to stay in that dusty cathedral and you think you can keep her there? she can literally cut people in half, you never stood a chance.
Ruin and Rising> Siege and Storm> Shadow and Bone
S&B Show > S&B Book
~
idk this was just something fun i wanted to do to get my thoughts out. might do it for other books, who knows
