3 ingredient treat! This simple and delicious strawberry popsicle only needs 3 ingredients and makes the perfect spring and summer treat! 🛒 Ingredients: Frozen strawberries Full-fat coconut milk Maple syrup In a bowl, break down the frozen strawberries into smaller pieces ( I used a wooden spoon’ to do this ) and then add the maple syrup. Next add the coconut milk and continue mixing until smooth and creamy. If you prefer to do this all in a blender, go for it! The longer you blend, the more the strawberries will break down so keep that in mind if you want the chunks of strawberries in your popsicles! Pour the popsicle mixture into the molds and pop the sticks in the center. Not that I’d ever ask you to choose BUT… I think I’d go for keeping the wine - as long as it’s my organic low-sugar wine from @winc! It’s pretty insane the amount of chemicals that are allowed to be in wine nowadays - 76 to be exact! This can unnatural yeasts, preservatives, food dyes, residual pesticides, added sulfites, and sometimes added sugar. Have you ever seen those info graphs where many different brands are actually owned by a handful of larger, parent companies? Wine is manufactured like that too! About 52% of all wines available in the U.S. are made from just three major wine conglomerates. Large-scale wine manufacturers want you to believe that you’re drinking wine made in a small farmhouse or chateau, when in fact you’re actually drinking wine ultimately produced in an industrial factory. Ever notice that some red wines stain your mouth more than others? This is because some wines contain added dyes. Many people associate darker colored wines with having more health benefits, but this is not necessarily true. 🙃 Last fun (not so much!) thing about ‘conventional’ wine:: some wines contain several animal-derived materials, including fish bladders, egg whites, bentonite clay, mammal proteins and plastics. These can be used to “fine” and filter wine, or to help improve the texture, clarity and mouth-feel. Commercial wines almost always do this to achieve their desired texture. Purchasing wine that is labeled as vegan ensures these byproducts are not included. Say “Aloe” to my little friend! 👋 🌱 ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ It’s no secret I love my aloe. It’s great for skin, bones, hair, and more! Here is a unique way to incorporate this healthy elixir that is packed with healthy benefits from antioxidants, Vitamin C, phytonutrients (the compounds that give plants their vibrant colors- and protect our cells!). The berries lend a hint of natural sweetness that will help mask 🎭 the slightly bitter aloe.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Combine 2 tbs chia seed, 2 tbs flaxseed, and 1 cup of aloe juice - soak over night or at least 6 hours. Smoothie Operator 💃 🙂 ¿ǝɹǝɥʇ pᴉp I ʇɐɥʍ ǝǝs noʎ oᗡ After my neck injury a few weeks ago I wasn’t able to chew food! 🤪 The muscles in my neck were too sore and to take off my neck brace at the time was really painful. That meant there was A LOT of smoothies and soups in my diet that week! It definitely helped me to get lots of nutrients in that my body needs to heal and stay healthy while being down for the count. ✌️ things to keep in mind when jumping on the smoothie train: 1️⃣ If your goal is to maintain or lose weight make your smoothie your meal instead of ADDING it to your meal. 🔑 Smoothies can be calorie dense and by ✨drinking✨ your meal instead of ✨chewing✨ your meal you skip the important step of ‘preheating’ your digestive ‘oven’- your stomach. When we chew, we release salivary enzymes that jumpstart the digestive process. When you DON’T chew, your body can skip this important step! Add things like hemp seed, chia seed, frozen chunks of whatever you’re putting in your smoothie, and flaxseed to help add that step when possible! Don’t filter your smoothies by adding only the juice of fruit you add. Drink the WHOLE orange and pulp! Your body will appreciate the fiber and it will help let your body know when to stop eating so you don’t over do it! 2️⃣ Because it’s a “smoothie” DOES NOT mean it’s auto-magically 🪄 “healthy.” 🔑 To be blunt- I steer clear of smoothie places. Smoothie 👑 and 🏝 Smoothie are places to get nutrient dense shakes. Technically they’re called “smoothies” but many of these places ADD sugar - plain ol sugar! - to the smoothies. If I’m not making it myself, I won’t drink it unless I’m going out for a treat. It’s a good idea to treat smoothies from these places as such! Recovery Days make your best days! Recovery days are so important yet often overlooked! Rest days will help to: ✅ Build strength ✅ Minimize fatigue ✅ Reduce risk of overuse injuries ✅ Avoid mental burnout ✅ Help your body repair itself ✅ Restock glycogen stores A rest day does not mean that you’re in bed all day or that you don’t train. A lighter workout or movement practice such as yoga, animal flow, pilates, or steady-state cardio might be what ✨your✨ body needs. Just like the saying ‘somebody’s warm-up is another’s workout’ goes, what a “rest day” means to you might be different for someone else! On my recovery days I like to take the dogs for extra long walks, get a nice hour long yoga session in, or do a steady state low-impact cardio session in the pool, on exercise bike, or on an elliptical machine. What I love most about these Paleo pecan pie bars are that it has basic and simple ingredients, you can whip it up in under an hour, and it’s very versatile making it easy to substitute many ingredients for whatever you have on hand!

These delicious treats filled the entire home with a heart warming aroma that lifts spirits and takes you back to the holidays.
Ingredients
Crust:
1 cup blanched almond flour
1/2 cup tapioca flour
1/4 cup coconut sugar
1/4 cup unsalted grass fed butter, Vegan butter, or ghee - chilled and cut or broken into pieces
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
1 large egg
Pecan layer:
3 tablespoons butter, Vegan butter, or ghee - melted and slightly cooled
1/3 cup coconut sugar
2 tablespoons tapioca flour
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
2 large eggs at room temperature
2/3 cup pure maple syrup
2 cups pecans coarsely chopped
How To:
1 : Combine the crust ingredients in a food processor, or in a bowl by hand with a pastry blender. Add the almond and tapioca flour, sugar, and ghee or butter. Combine so coarse crumbs form.
2 : Blend in the vanilla extract, salt, and egg until a dough forms. Place the dough in the refrigerator and chill for at least 30 minutes.
3 : Preheat your oven to 350F and line a square 8” baking pan with parchment paper on the bottom and up the sides.
4 : Press the chilled crust into the bottom of the pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, until turning golden brown.
5 : Meanwhile, prepare the pecan layer. Whisk together the butter and sugar until smooth, then the tapioca flour, vanilla, salt, eggs, and maple syrup. Once smooth, stir in the chopped pecans. Layer this mixture over the hot crust, and bake another 30 minutes or until the center is set.
6 : Cool the pan completely on a wire rack. Lift out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut into squares.
7 : Store leftover bars covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Pro-tip: Sprinkle with flaky salt for that EXTRA je ne sais quoi! 😚👌
