Sorry, still not over this. Been turning it in my head like a rotisserie chicken all day and I cannot fathom how they thought this was a good idea. If they cant afford the high production costs of their content, 1) uhh find ways to lower your production costs until you can afford the kind of content you aspire to make, 2) why not do a tiered youtube subscription and say hey we need some help?? People would have fuckin jumped on it to keep the channel alive.

I'm sorry but 2.9 mil subs on youtube is just not 'start my own streaming service' numbers, its just not. Honestly I don't think it warrants a staff of like 23 people either when the vast majority of fans would happily just watch shane and ryan fart around with a Go Pro. People watch youtube because its free and they cant afford 3-4 tv subs & everyone is already sick of stream services splitting into more and more individual $5-12 services with 1-2 shows they like.

In this shit economy very few are going to pay $6 for four niche 30min episodes per month. A LOT of ppl only come to the channel for Ghost Files or Puppet History and that's it. Their diehard fans who will follow them anywhere for any price are probably already subbed on patreon.

Idk it's just an absolutely bonkers decision to say 'Big Announcement, all future content is paid for, and if you're poor or international oh well lol thanks for all the views buh bye." Just abruptly. No lead up or gradual shift. Not just starting with some exclusive bonus content or just certain shows.

Absolutely insane business decision. It makes me sad, sure, but it also just makes me angry because its such a stupid way to ruin themselves and they were so well respected before this. I've really enjoyed their channel and I will really really miss them.

I understand why Watcher wants to try and pull a Dropout TV, I do, advertisers suck etc, but if you want $6 a month from me to watch a glorified youtube channel, I'm gonna need Ryan and Shane to start a weekly DnD game like that's the only thing that could convince me to get yet another fucking subscription service in my rotation lol.

New original 3D animated movie: Ducks. The secret life of ducks when humans aren’t looking.

Whenever ducks fly south in the winter, they’re actually flying to a big city of ducks where they talk and have jobs and have traffic lights with pictures of ducks in them and every billboard and storefront is a bird pun.

A generic duck guy is a young adult who feels inadequate because his dad is a big broker in the bread stock exchange.

He accidentally reveals the secret life of ducks to a human child, and now he must take her south with him to duck city. On the way they get into hijinks and find out about a big duck conspiracy or something.
