THATS THE GRACE OF GOD!! and BOY HOWDY IM GLAD HE LOVES US bc we'd be so screwed if He didn't. He came down from His place in Heaven to love YOU.

YOU with YOUR sin; your pride, your anger, your sexual desires, your past, your mistakes, your missed opportunities, your human body that decays like anything else and will be gone and gone forever in an instant, and He said "I choose to love you. I choose to draw YOU in with me and I choose to make you MY child." Mind blowing man, it really is and we hear this all the time but man, sometimes you gotta be reminded. Theres nothing you can do make God NOT love you, even though He doesn't have to love ANYONE.

In their experimental design, the researchers asked college students to stand at the base of a hill while carrying a weighted backpack and to estimate the steepness of a hill. Some participants stood next to close friends whom they had known a long time, some stood next to friends they had not known for long, and the rest stood alone during the exercise. The students who stood with friends gave significantly lower estimates of the steepness of the hill than those who stood alone. Furthermore, the longer the close friends had known each other, the less steep the hill appeared to the participants involved in the study. In other words, the world looks less difficult when standing next to a close friend.”

It's not arrogance or a sin to assume you'll go to heaven when you die if you've already put your trust in Christ and believe that His death was enough to reconcile you to the Father. There's nothing in the Bible that suggests you can't know, and there's multiple verses that say you can know you're going to heaven. The idea that it's a "sin of presumption" (not found in the Bible!) is just an evil fruit of works salvation, clearly seen by the immense salvation anxiety exhibited by people who believe it.
