My city is going into shutdown mode because of Covid-19 with the schools, daycares, community pools, ect. shutting down. I had to go to the grocery store for milk, eggs and butter; waited for 45 minutes in line with people buying 5-6 packs of toilet paper....but no food. Are they planning on eating that?

Today in parenting...

The Good: My oldest drew a unicorn on her little sisters shirt...in pen. I should be pissed but she did it because my littlest pea HATES wearing plain tees but all her graphic tees were in the wash. She was just trying to make her little sister happy so I can't be mad at that.

The Bad: My oldest snuck her new LOL OMG doll to school even if she's not supposed to bring toys. It's been confiscated till Friday by her teacher so I got 30 minutes of crying when I picked her up from her extended day program.

The Ugly: My youngest peed in the recycling bin in the kitchen. She says she really, really needed to go but I was already in the bathroom. We also have a powder room so you know....3 yo logic.

I registered my littlest pea for junior kindergarten this morning; she will start school this August. I'm both very proud and a little sad that my baby is growing up. But mostly, I'm extatic about the 500$ a month coming back into my pocket once she switches over to the extended school day program. Quality daycare is expensive af and I can't wait for it to be over.
