I'm now a big fan of a space orbiter.

I just read about Juno, the spacecraft that currently orbits Jupiter.

It has been orbiting Jupiter since 2016.

Jupiter is very hostile; it has a magnetic field that extends almost to Saturn, as well as giant radiation belts that would irreparably damage the technology and inevitably end the mission by destroying the scientific instruments.

Now, Juno has a carefully calculated orbit and is geared up to the max against the radiation, but the mission was planned only till 2018.

But it turns out Juno is a tough cookie (applause for those, who built it, please) and her mission was extended first until 2021 and now until 2025.

It has already given scientists a fuck ton of new information about this majestic planet, answered questions, unlocked new ones and now we have THE MOST FUCKING GORGEOUS PICTURES OF JUPITER, LIKE, HOLY CRAP!

I don't know that much about astronomy, but I really love space and I had to get this off my chest. So ...

GO, JUNO! YOU'RE DOING AMAZING, SWEETIE!

Happy birthdy to me

Today is my birthday, I'm 29 years old and my mum came to visit earlier.

We chatted, had some tea and she helped me fix up a shelf.

It's a great day. :)

I just thought of a convo I had with my therapist a few days ago. It was the first appointment after I was released from the mental hospital last month.

So I sat down opposite to him and the first thing he asked after exchanging greetings was "So, how are you feeling? Are you feeling cured?"

I went "Oh, totally! So cured!"

Then we both laughed, because we were being ironic, while my social guardian (I couldn't find a better translation for what she is) just rolled her eyes at the inside joke, like she's heard it all before.

Then we talked for real, but it was a nice moment.

Get yourself a therapist, whose sense of humour is on a similar wavelength to yours. :)

My gran liked her Christmas present

My mum came to visit me earlier and she showed me a photo she made of my grandma's reaction to my gift to her (a heating blanket).

It was a pic of my gran's face poking out of her new heating blanket, looking blissed out.

My grandma has severe dementia and freezes easily, so this makes me even happier. :)

I was discharged from hospital on Friday and now I'm spending the time at home alone, because my mum and granny live in another city and I can't visit them this year.

Hey, good news! They're allowing me to use the W-LAN, so I'll be able to post once in a while after all!

I won't be able to post much for a while

I have a chronic depression, so I'll stay at a psychiatric hospital for a few weeks. I'm currently so depressed I can't work a job, so I'm hoping that this will help me get better.

I don't know how long the treatment will last, or what exactly it will entail, but I most likely won't be able to post anything of my own. I'll answer questions, provided my phone has internet connection, but I can't make promises. Hopefully they won't confiscate that or my laptop, because if I can't write, I get antsy.

But for the most part I'll focus on trying to get better, or at least getting proper treatment for my mental and psychosomatic ailments. I hope they can help with my epilepsy too, I had two seizures last month (despite my medication) and it sucked.

Love you guys, take care of yourselves.
