Haven’t been on in a few months. It’s been hard recently not only dealing with some mental health struggles but also the loss of my papa. It was unexpected and painful, and it hurts so much now that they are both gone. My relationship with both sets of my grandparents has always been so strong, it’s been hard to cope with.

Aaliyah has been having a hard time not really understanding why we can’t FaceTime him or walk over to his house. It’s been a month and I still find myself crying when I think about him. I know it’s all a process but wow is it hard

We had another leak in our apartment last week so we’ve been having to leave the house every day (with the dog!!😩) Yesterday I decided to try geocaching because a mutual on Instagram is always posting about it and seriously!! Recommend for everyone!! We had so much fun and found 4 hidden treasures, and walked over 3 miles! This is definitely going to be our new favorite thing to do

Little life update ✨

Made my reading goal for the year thanks to free ebooks from the library 📚 also shameless plug for my goodreads and to just say I’m always ready to talk about books and I can annoy you with book recs 🥺💕

Aaliyah was crazy sick for the second time in only a few weeks. Fever and breaking out in horrible patches of hives. The urgent care doctor thought she was allergic to her antibiotics but her pediatrician thinks it’s something else and we have an appointment with an allergist in a few weeks 😩 for now she’s on a nightly allergy medicine

Ry quit his second job now that he got a new day job. Very thankful he can get more rest but also that I can get some time to myself 😜 I’ve been walking Atlas around 5 miles on the weekend and I’ve worked out 10 of the 15 days of the new year!

Been totally slacking on activities lately (relying way too much on her new pad for screen time 🥴) but we’ve been helping my grandma clean the historical house she volunteers at, did an 1000 piece puzzle this week, and a little hot coco bin this morning.

I also got her signed up for school lotteries this week. I’m hoping she gets into one of the two charter schools I applied for through our school district 🤞🏽 I feel so much anxiety about her going to school and just ugh idk why do they have to go all day every day? She just seems so young
