Hello, I'm sorry to bother you, but I saw your post during pocwolweek (gorgeous miqote btw) and I was wondering if you can tell me where you got the mod for the dreadlocks? I've been looking for a dreadlock mod for a while and haven't been able to find it. If you can't, that's fine, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks!

Hell yeah! They were made by the lovely CCrow! Here’s the link https://www.xivmodarchive.com/modid/18426 they’ve recently done a Lalafell port for it too so you can live in your 5-head glory!!

Juliet Bertram,  original (8 months ago) vs current. 

My excuse used to be, “SE has awful lighting” and not think twice about veering away from darker skin tones but in reality, I was afraid of being overlooked for roleplay and had a difficult time looking for mods that complimented PoC. It reminded me how alone I felt. I finally woke up when I caught myself asking friends which of these two designs they preferred.  Why the fuck was I letting others choose when the answer is obvious?

Because I thought it’d cross OOC/IC boundaries to prefer a character who shared the same skin tone as me. That it’d be too self pandering and invasive. No, I just didn’t love myself and wanted to hide my identity as much possible. I’m thankful to have friends who have my back and lifted me out of that funk but there’s plenty out there who don’t; that’s why this event exists. 

Don’t celebrate to gain popularity for your OC, celebrate and support the gorgeous people behind them who have to struggle everyday.

Since I’m still having sentimental ARR era feels, I present another early days entry.

Gridania was the starting point of her journey and the first semi-permanent place she’d had in years at that point. And Mother Miounne the first to seriously look out for her in a while. As such, it holds a special place in her heart. She regularly visits to catch up with Miounne, speak with Kan-E and Raya, or to check in on how Sylphie, Gatty, and Alaqa are doing.

‘Home’. There is nothing like staying at home, for real comfort. For those among us who chose to pursue their life of adventure, Home has a special meaning. The time spent away from the comfort of loved ones, in one’s own sacred space, is enriched by absence. ‘Home’ … A word that should bring warmth and peace. And yet … For those among us who were left with little choice but adventure, Home is less a place to which you hope to someday return, but something you carry with you, each step along the way. If we let it, ‘Home’ can burden with obligation and regret. But if we want to, ‘Home’ can be a gentle trinket of memory, soft and light. At the end of the day, it is up to each one of us to determine the weight of this word.

Though Jace has reclaimed the home he grew up him, even the smallest of spaces feel large when you are all alone. 

Jaxon has ever yearned to finally return to his true homeland, Ala Mhigo. Yet even as he searches for his place among Her, he is still but a lost soul.

So close to his home, yet still so far. What separates Kamasis from a return to his home and his people is a bleak and bloodied battlefield.
